My DD has lost some weight - actually its a good sized amount - at her 9 mo. appt she was 22 lbs, 13 oz. (95%) Shortly after that appointment she started walking...and slimming down. She is on the go all the time during the day and nurses about 8 times a day but hasn't been too interested in solids in the past month or so. Tonight, at the gym, she was 21 lbs. 1 oz.(65%) I am pretty sure this was an accurate weight. She's defintely getting taller, as her onesies are getting too short.
I'm wondering if this is pretty common with new walkers? She is such a little busy body all day long now. Would you be concerned?
Dh isn't concerned at all. She is still really plump so he doesn't see a problem. (Picture below for plump-ometer reading) Thanks!!!

I wouldn't be concerned, especially if she was weighed on two different scales. Sometimes the doctors office isn't the most accurate....especially if nurses are in a hurry. Plus like you said, she's plenty "plump" ;) If it makes you feel any better, my DD is 10 months 1 week old and only weighed 19 lbs 2 oz at her 10 month WBV. So I wouldn't worry :)

I wouldn't necessarily worry either. What was her birth weight? Typically you'd see a breastfed baby triple her birth weight within the first year -- if she's close to that, then she's probably settling into her 'toddling' growth pattern now.
FWIW, Joey was enormous -- about 23 pounds at 9 months, about 25 at a year... but that was right, he was 8 and a half pounds at birth. And he was wearing size 18-24 clothes at 10 months... that he's still wearing today, 14 months later. I used to have to roll up the legs, now they're getting kind of short. :) He just got very slim as he started running around. :)

I wouldn't worry either..My DD is 14 months and is just now passing the 19 lb mark. She has been EXTREAMLY active since she started crawling (7 months) and then walking (just shy of 11 months)...our ped said not to expect much weight gain between her 12 and 15 month WBVs.
She was a BF baby for 12 months, but would have needed to hit about 22.5 lbs to tripple her birth weight...she was only 18.8 at 12 months. I'm not too concerned (though I was for a short while and understand why you are). She is healthy and developing beautifully. I don't expect her weight gain to improve anytime soon, now that she is becoming quite the picky toddler.

My DD also lost weight between mid-December and early January. At a sick visit on Dec. 20th, she was 20 lb. 2 oz.; at her 12 month WBV on Jan. 6th, she was 17 lb. 14 oz. And at a most recent visit on Jan. 17th, she was STILL 17 lb. 14 oz. It concerns me a great deal but not the pediatrician so much. And as you can see, there has been a pattern - she has been sick, a cold, stomach flu, etc., so because of that (I won't go into details :D ) the doctor said it's a normal amount to lose. But it still concerns me, especially since she hasn't ever been big - except at birth when she was 8 lb. 12 oz. (and 7 lb. 12 oz. when we left the hospital).
Every once in a while I read something that makes me think it's associated to her being active - she never sits still between crawling and cruising - but I always forget that and worry again, but it is probably that. Oh, and she's always been tall, too.
Has your DD been sick at all? Probably not, since you probably would have mentioned it if she had been.... But she definitely seems plump - in a good way! :)

Thank you all for the reassurance. She has not tripled birthweight - but that would be 27 lbs. 9 oz. and waaaaaaaaaaay off the charts for girl babies:-)
I know she is fine - it just bothered me a bit that she lost weight.

DD is a skinny mini, only weighing 23 lbs @ her 1 year appt. She has never lost but her gains are now really slow. She is also a busy body and would rather play than eat.
BTW, your DD is too adorable for words.

Yeah, what everyone else said. Once they are mobile they lose weight. My DD is 2 and only weighs 25 lbs.
