Skylar is going to be a fairy. I got the costume at the children's place. It's the cutest thing, but she won't keep it on!!

jess&dan- What great pics

It's official. I go back to work on Monday, which means Skylar starts daycare. Those of you who have their little ones in daycare, what do you send in for lunch?? She is a great eater at home, but I'm looking for some new ideas.

I'll post some pics in a bit.

Aidan is going to be either a San Francisco Forty-Niner or Iron Chef: Cheerios :D it depends on the weather that day. His Chef outfit is thin and short sleeved, so we'll see. Alexander has a Count Dracula outfit but it's really hot so he might just be in a Halloween themed one piece pj. My MOMS group has a morning trick-or-treat event at a local mall and we'll stay home in the evening since we have the little one.

He originally had a Thomas costume (apron style) but he wouldn't put it on so I returned it

Hellloooo??? Anybody out there??

mommy2maren- Maren looks adorable in that costume!! Yeah for TTC soon!! I've got baby fever again, it's a good thing I can't have anymore!!

pontmarie- Aidan is too cute.

Well, I've been back at work for 3 wks now. I love my job so far. Skylar is doing VERY well at daycare. I was so nervous about how she would handle it, but she really enjoys it and has such a fun time. It's only 3 days a week.

Some quick pics!

Hey there Feb 05 mama's! Long time no post. lol

Hope you all had a great Halloween with the kiddos.
Maya is in love with Winnie the Pooh, so I had to dress her as Pooh. She loved it!

A few months ago I started watching a 28 month old boy. Maya & Brannan get along great with each other. Sometimes she doesn't want to share me, but she's doing great. They get excited to see each other. It's so cute!

I love when you all posts pics. All of the children are growing up so quickly.

I have to upload some pics. I'll try to post them soon.

Great pic blondegirl. Does Rosalyn just love having 2 younger siblings? I bet she's a great big sister. All 3 of your kiddos are beautiful!

Lisa How are you? I'm so glad you stopped in here. I think about you often. How's Ethan doing? Still in S. FL?

Here are the pics I promised:
A few weeks ago in the pig tails that only last 15 minutes. lol

Candy- Maya is just precious!! I've been putting pigtails / ponytails in Skylar's hair for a few months now, and about 2 weeks ago, she finally stopped messing with them! Now, she leaves the pigtails, but almost immediately pulls out barrettes!

Rosalyn just adores Skylar and Jace. She really is a great big sister (though she does have her monster moments!!)

pontmarie: What a cutie! He looked adorable! And with Alexander's dracula outfit, that was Nathan's first Halloween costume also! :)

mommy2maren: Adorable! That's such a cute costume!

blondegirl: They are too cute! Glad things are going well! Loved their costumes!

Candy: Glad to hear things are going well! She's such a little cutie!

Things going well over here! Have been pretty busy in general. Nathan is doing great...speaking in sentences and basically is never quiet. :p He had a great Halloween and loved trick-or-treating, but I think he loved handing out the candy more. He is crazy about Superman, so that was his costume. He loved it and would have to look at it every day. Ha!

I'll add a picture of Morgann.

Lets see, the newest thing Morgann is doing now is pulling her chair all over the house looking for water sources to play in....her favorite is the bathroom sink because she can turn it on and make a big mess. She loves to make "messies!" "I do it mommy. Messie!"

I know, I am already starting to plan Aidan's party!

Is anyone else NOT putting up a tree? I just can't do it. I run after Aidan all day long, he's into EVERYTHING that's not nailed to the floor and with Alex to look after, I just can't deal with a Christmas tree as well. DH has agreed to not put up a tree and to have all decorations be high up :D

jess&dan

pontmarie: that picture is adorable!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had a good time visiting Dan's family...but Nathan was a handful!

Yep, we put up a Christmas tree. Nathan has been good about not touching it. He helped decorate it and has left it alone. Now the Nutcracker is another story and he has to hug and kiss that thing every day!

We went to visit Santa and he was super excited while waiting in line, but freaked out when we got there. So I had to sit in the picture also. I have faith I will laugh in 20 years, but right now I can't bring myself to look at it! Nathan is fine, has the typical "freaked out by Santa" face. It's me...I call it my gopher impression. I must have been trying to get Nathan to smile and they caught me in the middle of a lovely facial expression. It's something alright!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Yup, just got back from our Santa freak-out. Aidan was totally fine until the moment to sit with Santa came and then he just wouldn't do it, he clung to my neck and we ended up not doing it. We took pics of Santa with Alexander and might try again with DH and MIL along to see if Aidan cooperates. And this Santa was a little strange, I liked the one last year a lot better.

We just put up the tree yesterday. M's done very well with not touching it. She LOVES the "pretty lights" and the "pretty stars" in the window (reflection of the tree's light!) We haven't put decorations on it yet though, but she did great at a friends house today w/ a tree.

What are your little ones getting for Christmas or Hannukah?

Morgann is getting a wooden rocking horse from my IL's. I don't know about my parents, but from us: a Curious George book, a Tickle/Giggle George and something else...not sure what though! She has too much already, I need to thin out her toys before Christmas.

Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone. :)

We just put our tree up over the weekend. Roman helped put up the decorations and some ornaments. I found these great glitter ball styrofoam-type ornaments at Michael's and that's what is at the bottom of the tree--perfectly kid AND cat proof. :) Roman can touch these all day and they won't hurt him or get ruined!

We celebrate both Christmas and Hannukah and Roman is getting:

lots of books
train set
radio flyer wagon (from ILs)
Elmo dress up doll
play food
play utensils for his kitchen
puzzles

Roman is talking a lot more and finally pooped in the potty yesterday! I hope it was not a fluke! :)

p.s. speaking of birthdays, have you all thought of a theme for their second birthdays? I need ideas!

Hi everyone! I just went back and realized I haven't read this thread in about 5 months!!

First, Lisa, I just found out about Lauryn and I am so sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my prayers.

The babes all look great - I can't believe we'll be starting year #2 and that so many of you guys are on multiple babies now!

Congrats Pont - Alexander is adorable! Congrats SaraKatG on your pregnancy as well!!

We are doing great - finally moved into our new house and are slowly getting things together (Journey, I kept thinking about how you moved when the twins were small and you already had a toddler - how on earth did you do it??).

Elliott is just the cutest kid. He talks constantly and loves for Daddy to quiz him at supper (what color is ___, how many ____ do you see, etc.). He's tall and skinny (like his father) but looks a lot like me now too.

I had to laugh when I heard about ya'lls Santa experiences. We just went today and Elliott held onto my neck and wouldn't let go. I'm in the picture and he looks scared out of his mind :P Oh well!!

We put up a tree - E has been great about leaving it alone - though he talks about some of the ornaments. I did let him "put" some on, so maybe that was enough play for him. I got him a FP nativity scene and put it in front of the tree, so that is a good distraction too.

For Christmas he is getting a play kitchen with a few other random books and toys. I'm pretty sure the rest of our family will get him way more than he needs or could ever use :).

Next weekend is my DH and I's 5th anniversary and we're contemplating taking our first overnight without Elliott. It would be to go to my best friend's 30th birthday party in Austin. I just can't imagine not waking up to "mowp mommy, pwease! mommy, get up! mommy hot coffee mommy! brefast! applesaws! up! get up!".:D

HGMorgann
11-30-2006, 09:30 PM
hehe. Morgann loves the "foffee, its hot...yum...foffeee...hot hot" :-) If I leave a bit in my cup and leave the room, its gone in a heartbeat. I'm a bad mom, but dont care that she loves coffee!

But leaving E. might be hard, but I think you will enjoy it. Morgann's done fantastic the few times we've left her overnight. She hasn't seemed to miss us one bit. She's just like "Hello mommy. Hello daddy. Look...acorn!" when we get back and life carries on. I thought it would somewhat hard for her since she is still nursing...

blondegirl
12-01-2006, 10:21 AM
Finally, some action around here!!

HGMorgann- Skylar just LOVES to drink my iced coffee! Nice to know I"m not the only "bad mommy" around!!

MrsT-I'm sure E will do fine. I will most definately be harder on you than it is on him!! We left Skylar a few times overnight with the grandparents, and she had such a blast!

pont -such a cute picture!

We haven't put up a tree yet. Hopefully by next week. Being back at work leaves me so scrambled with things at home! I feel like I have no time to do anything. But I have already spoke to DH about getting it on his day off. I'm curious to see how Skylar and DS are with the tree this year - Skylar was very good about it last, hardly messed with it. And I've hardly begun my holiday shopping yet! Shopping for 3 is really going to be a battle! They all have so much already, I just don't know what to get!

We haven't gone to see Santa yet, and I'm really not sure I'll even bother trying to get a picture. She screamed last year, and I imagine this year will be the same! She hides from all strangers as it is!

I know the grandparents are getting Skylar a play kitchen and SIL is getting her a wooden tea set. I've picked up a few random things - puzzles, books, little things for the stocking.

I've started "thinking" about her 2nd bday party. We picked a date, and a theme, and made a guest list. But that's about it. I'm doing a joint party for Skylar and Jace, since he'll be 1 on 1/26 and she'll be 2 on 2/21. I'm most likely going to use the Sesame Smile theme, since it will work for both of them.

I guess that's it for now. Hope everyone is well!

HGMorgann I'm so glad to hear that M did ok when you left her - especially with the nursing. E is still nursing too - though more when he wakes than to go down these days. He's also super-attached to me and doesn't really want anyone but me if I am gone for a couple of hours. At least my mom is staying with him. He adores her and she'll even sleep in bed with him :D!

blondegirlGood to hear Skylar does ok on overnights too. I just tend to worry.... :) I love the Sesame Street theme. I don't know what it is about those characters but E loves 'em too (doesn't watch the show, but knows who Elmo is thanks to his cousin....)

We're sick over here. I think I have bronchitis - a nasty cough. And E has a cold. At least HE is sleeping better tonight. (I can't stop coughing, so I'm typing ).

I'm toying with a train theme for E's bday. He loves Thomas (I swear, it's bizarre how good branding for kids' toys is - we watch NO TV and E knows Buzz, Zorg, Thomas, Elmo, Ernie and Dora. I think it's his cousin, but who knows.... I think it will be really low key this year - just family and a couple of friends. I don't feel up to anything more after the holiday madness and a shower that we're throwing (for the destination wedding people) for 70 people in mid-January.
Besides, he's still at the age where he doesn't have many "friends" so the 5 or so kids that he does know will be invited to play and eat cake!!

Candy
12-06-2006, 07:07 AM
Sorry to hear you & Elliott are sick MrsT. I used to be queen of bronchitis. Not fun at all!

We are skipping a party this year & taking Maya to Disney. We are about 3 hours away & this will be her 1st time there. I can't wait! She's is going to flip out! When we go to Chuck E Cheese, she gets so excited to see Chuckie. She hugs him & goes crazy! I can't imagine how she will be with all of the Disney characters. She is totally, head over heals in love with Pooh. Meeting him in person will be the best!
I myself am very excited to see Disney through a childs eyes. :D

Anyone up for a new thread for the new year?? Although we aren't a very active thread, many of us still do stop by check in to see how the others are doing. I'll start it if there is interest.

pontmarie
12-06-2006, 07:57 AM
We will probably do Thomas for Aidan's 2nd bday, he loves Thomas. Anything that is cars, trucks or trains :) He loves Teletubbies as well but there is more Thomas bday stuff around. We had our first 2nd bday party in playgroup last month, can't believe it. For us it will be a big party because DH has a huge family, so we'll add his little playgroup buddies and some of my girlfriends' kids to the list.

I love the coffee stories, I used to drink coffee when I was little when we'd go out to dinner with my parents :D

We'll get Aidan either a wagon or a little play house for the yard, depending on what DH's parents get him. My mom has already bought him TJ Bearytales and my sister and her bf want to get him a trike. He really doesn't need anything, my sister and mom are always buying gifts for the boys.

I'm up for a new thread if y'all want that, I love keeping in touch and seeing how our babies are growing!

blondegirl
12-06-2006, 10:47 AM
Definately up for a new thread. Now that I'm back to work, I'm around more often.

Poor Skylar is sick. It started out with a basic cold since friday. No fever, not irritable, just a runny nose and a little cough. By monday, she wasn't eating well, but still pleasant for the most part, runny nose and cough. She had periods where she'd be playing fine, than break out into a screaming fit - nothing would calm her down. By yesterday, she woke up with a fever of 104.4, was very lathargic, sleeping alot, so I brought her right to the doc. The nurse seemed a little nervous when they realized how high her fever was, so they gave her tylenol and had us sit there for a bit before seeing the doc. Once the doc examined her and saw that her temp had gone down, she didn't seemed worried, but asked me to keep an eye on her over the next few days.
Basically, she has a mild infection in her right lung that could have turned into pnuemonia or may even be a mild case of pnuemonia. They put her on Augmentin and the doc wants me to bring her back in a week or sooner if she doesn't seem to get better or any syptoms get worse.

I noticed a big difference in her already. She's eating, no fever, and playing like normal.

MrsT- HOpe everyone feels better soon!

Candy- I bet you all have a blast in Disney.

Here's a few pics from our holiday photo shoot. I had no luck getting a group shot, so I just took single shots of the kids. I'll post the finished card when I get it.

We are sick here too! Ugh. I have a cough and totally lost my voice - I can't speak at all - Morgann is now whispering back at me. She has a cough as well, but seems much better than I. Rich is sick with a cough too.

So I hope everyone feels better VERY quickly!

New thread works for me!

MrsT: I hope you both feel better! And yep, keeping things small while they are little and don't know the difference is good because sooner or later we'll HAVE to do the big ones!

Candy: Disney will be fun! We're taking Nathan to Disney in August and I can't wait! He LOVES Mickey so I'm anxious to see his reaction! I hope you guys have a great time!

blondegirl: Sorry poor Skylar is sick. I hope she's much better! And the pictures are too cute!

Things are going well. The holidays are coming fast and I have a ton to do! Nathan is loving all the "kissmus" lights and loves to turn on the tree every day. I do enjoy this year and seeing how excited he gets! Christmas day will be so much fun!
