I was just looking at the new line again and there really isn't anything that wows me. I don't think i will be spending a ton of money this go aroud. DARN!
The new line just is not that cute! Good think i bought all her stuff from the other lines.

I agree - not digging the new line. I love the pink tennis shoes but even with the 30% off, they are way over priced IMO...boo hoo.
I am hoping my package arrived today - I ordered a ton of sale stuff for her for the fall...I will need to burn the receipt and box before DH gets home - this is the third order in less than a month!

lee60657 - Thanks so much for the coupon. I was one of the crazy people outside the store this morning before it even opened. :o
I never know how to get the best deal with their promotions. Is it best to use these 30% deals on full price merchandise or do you use them to get even cheaper prices on already reduced merchandise? I usually go the full price route, but this time I stocked up on a ton of sale stuff. What do you guys usually do?

Princess Crappy: No problem...it sounds like you put it to good use :) I just got back from the Gymboree store closest to me. Unfortunately, it is not a Tier 1 store, so the selection is not as good as some, but its not terrible. No Daisy Chain, though, and I was hoping to get a few items from that line to go with the things I got during Gymbuck redemption. I did manage to find a few things for DD though :)

Love the free shipping! I just went to the store and bought several pieces a little over $100, of course some were socks;) I have tomorrow off and will be heading over to another store since we will be visiting my parents.
PrincessCrappy - you do get the best deals when the item is already on sale, but the further they get reduced, the less chance you will get the item in the size you need unless you are planning to buy it for next year. That is what I do since DD got so many clothes now. During these sales, I also look for birthday gifts & Christmas since I have quite a few nieces and nephews to shop for too.:D

well I bought some stuff today, after putting it on hold Wed night. It's bad b/c the sales lady greeted me by name when I went to pick it up today!
I mostly got gifts and a few sale items for DD - Two tops from Daisy Chain (the pants were sold out). Debating about driving to another store tomorrow. How do you tell if it is tier1 or 2?
purpleorchids I usually buy marked down stuff, unless there is a new line I can't live without!

I used the coupon last night and spent just of $100, to get the free shipping, of already discounted clothes. Lots and lots of underwear in present and the next size, it is soo much softer than the hanes character undies. And a lot of things for next year. I can never figure out after a binge like this if I actually saved money or spent money I would otherwise not have spent at all.

hmm, I'd be interested too. All the stores in my area are Tier 2, you'd think in the Boston area they'd have one Tier 1! that stinks! And they all say "cold".

I *might* have figured it out! I scrolled through the list, and some say "cold", some say "hot", and one or two says "temperate". I recall something about in some of the lines, they'll have long sleeve shirts in some regions and short sleeve in other regions, depending on weather. The TX tier 1's were "hot" stores or "temperate", and the northern ones were "cold" for instance. Of course, NC was cold too, which doesn't make a ton of sense, to me at least.

Good detective work.. What I don't understand is why isn't this tier thing explained on the official gymboree website? Is it some sort of secret code thing? :D I've always suspected Gymbo to be a cult the way I've gotten sucked in...:D

Oh, I'm such a sucker for gymbucks! I just can't help myself!
Funning thing is I was just there on Saturday, I needed to get some gifts for 2 birthday parties this weekend plus I bought a Fiesta shirt for my DD (full price) and then I get the email yesterday about Gymbucks AND the Fiesta line is now 20% off. So of course I'm annoyed, so I throw the kids in the car and we went back to the mall. They were very nice about it, she let me return all my stuff and rebuy it with the new discounts and the Gymbucks.....and of course I spend another $125 on top of it.
I'm getting delusional....I can't believe I get excited when a shirt goes on 20% off sale....I'm still paying $17.99 for a stupid t-shirt that my DD will roll around in the dirt in.....I definately need Gymbo therapy!
And to make matters worse, I found a tier 1 store at a mall near me, which has 5xs the selected of the store I was usually going to....so that means they have everything in the size I need plus plenty of older lines in my size, and 4 marked down racks.....oh this is going to be sooooo bad!!!!

Do you know if on line you will be able to order different color/styles/sizes of the same item type. Like the same shorts in green, red and gray or the same style and priced t-shirt with differnent graphics? Otherwise it seems the sale will mostly be good just for things like underwear and socks. Who needs three pairs of the same exact t-shirt, dress or pants?
April1234
06-02-2006, 02:09 PM
Renrel,You are able to buy different atricles of clothing. Like if you order online Gymboree arranges your order from most expencive to least and every third item on the list is free...such as...
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140009858?$126x160$ $25.99
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140010160?$126x160$
21.99
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140010156?$126x160$
$14.99...but its FREE
and so on.....
Hope that helps! Its my fave sale!
Renrel
06-03-2006, 10:20 AM
April - thanks for explaining. Are you sure it is every third item would be free, rather than say the three least expensive out of an order for 9?
emschwar
06-03-2006, 11:40 AM
last time they did it, it was every 3rd item. That way you didn't buy 3 shirts and 3 shorts and get the 3 pairs of socks for free, for example.
I actually used the sale last year to stock up on bubbles. 3 bottles of the bubble refills and we're only halfway through the 2nd :)
jbemommy
06-03-2006, 02:22 PM
The items are placed in descending order by price and every 3rd item is free, although they actually will deduct a percentage of the price off of each of the previous two items. It works the best to buy things in groups of 3 as close in price as possible. For instance, if you buy 3 things that are $12.99, the price for each one on your receipt will be 33% off of $12.99.
Renrel

The bubbles are expensive, but they last a long time, and they're much better than regular bubbles. They land on surfaces, so kiddos without much speed can still have time to get to them and pop them. Also, sometimes you can catch them on your fingers without them popping! They're a lot of fun.

Hi all, first off, I LOVE the new baby girl's line....so cute!
Anyway, does anyone know if the sku#s are the same online as the items in the store. The item # online doesn't seem to match. I bought a bunch of stuff as gifts and I'm considering rebuying them during the buy2 get1 free sale online then returning them at the store with my old receipt.

Love, love, love the newborn lines, but of course Noah's stocked for the summer and I can't justify any more clothes for this season. Count me in with the crazies! I stayed up last night until midnight so I could put my order in. I spend most of Wed. organizing my cart to make sure I got the best deals. I ordered 24 things!!!!! (all clothes) Here's my rational, I got the buy2 get1 deal plus gymbucks plus my 5%off from my gymbo CC. I actually did a spreadsheet to work out all the numbers (I'm an accountant...comes in handy sometimes!) I love the new baby girl line so even though its full price I got alot of it. I plan on selling my gymbucks on ebay, so that will recoup some of my spendings.
After everything, I will have gotten my total order for 61%off, which is including all the new line stuff. I'm pretty excited about that.
Now, I just have to make sure I sell those gymbucks instead of spending them!!!!

I was good, concidering. I had my shopping bag up over $200 at one point, but I ended up ordering just 6 items for which I paid $55, thus getting me one gymbuck. Each item, other than one free items were on sale, so without all the sales prices I would have spent another $45. So it was close to half off without counting the gymbuck. I am hoping the two full price items I wanted will be on sale by redemtion time. And I really think we needed the items purchased. Three solid color pull up shorts, to get us through our first summer potty trained, two striped shirts that should go with most if not all of his shorts and pants and one green hoodie. So all good solid basics. Next summer will be tough though. I bought so much stuff a year in advance with the last gymbucks and have so many items MIL purchased for our summer trip to Florida that are still to big I amy not be able to justify any purchases next year. boohoo.

So I looked at my receipt and basically they discounted each item individually (no item is listed as zero). So if I return one item I still get the partial discount off the other two items? Does that make sense? So I'm thinking if any of you ladies don't need items in multiple of three, you can buy something extra close in price to two other items and to get the "one free" but if you return it you still get somewhat of a discount.
Too much trouble I'm sure but if there are only two or 5 things you must have it might work...
Do Gymbo clothes generally run small or just the pj's? I bought a couple of pj's in the 3-6 month size for my 13-week old DS. When we tried them on at home, they were skin tight and the length was perfect...too perfect. I guess I'll have to return them and get the 6-12 month size.

yby just the pj's, they're skin tight b/c they're cotton. you'll notice the baggier pj's for older kids are only polyester. the lady at the store once told me to shove my hands through the sleeves before putting them on, it does make it much easier to get them on.
Renrel

Just to give more infor on the prior post- For safty reasons, kids pj are either suppose to be skin tight, so as to make them less likely to brush against something and catch fire or made of fire resistant fabric.

The boys lines have been pretty dismal lately. We only buy gymbo on sale or with the gymbucks we get from the play class. This time, our re-enrollment date didn't correspond with gymbucks earning, so for the first time in over a year, we won't be doing gymbucks shopping for the next season. Honestly, I'm not really that upset. The boys stuff just keeps getting worse and worse, and I can find cuter stuff for Noah at Penney's and Target for cheaper.

My gymbo store said on the boys lines, this year its been alternating a dark colored line, then a bright colored line. I hope this holds true and we get a bright, fun line next. (there will be a new line just before redemption, so end of July or so) I bought a couple of the Armadillo things (hoodie, khaki jeans a striped shirt) - in a size up to stash away for fall; they are nice fall colors. Im still loving the surf line. When it went on sale, I scooped up what they had in the right sizes. I *really* wish I could have gotten two more of the bright multistriped onsie shirt though! (18&24 month, or at least an 18mo). Its easier to find sizes now that my boys are in different sizes.

QPDOLL:
I was thinking you can sell them but specify that it is in $25 increments and for purchases only online and then provide them the code. But then if they do go over the $ amount, the code may use up the other gymbucks too. So I don't think you can do it.
People will want to buy 6 gymbucks though. Check on ebay and you'll see what they are going for. Or you can also use whatever you want and sell the leftovers. You'll just have to shop early in redemption and them list for a shorter time.

Cute!!! I hope they will all be out before redemption. I think they are, all with the exeception of the yet-to-be shown Varsity line.
QUESTION - So, my boys seem to be tapering off of their growth spurts. I still have clothes from the Whale Watching spring line that fit. They will be 1 year old next weekend, and are in a 9 month pant (I buy them 12 month and deal with the fact that they fall off when they crawl) and one is in a 12 month shirt the other is in an 18 month shirt. They have TONS of clothes from all the spring training and summer lines.
My problem. Do I continue to buy in the sizes they in, or buy up a size? Im just not sure WHEN they will go into the next size and I don't really want them in a short sleeved shirt in winter. LOL But really, they still have tons of summer themed stuff.

I don't know if this was mentioned before, but if you have a Gymbo outlet store near you -- the newest boys' line there is the Cowboy/West line from last year. I know that they've just duplicated many of the pieces, including the "Big Bully" yellow T, and the "Horsin' around" cream-colored T, as well as the cowboy hat and boots. (I'd have looked more, but DH was with me... If I get back to the mall again I'll give it a closer look. :))

I am actually happy that I don't like the new girl's line. I was a good girl and sold my gymbucks on ebay (I actually got more than 1/2 their value). I just don't like the squirrels and all the peter pan collars they've got going on. Which is better anyway because I LOVED the safari line and went crazy with that one.
But for the first time ever, I actually really like the boys stuff! My 3 1/2y/o loves construction stuff. I don't know if I can break down and buy stuff for him. It's different buying the girls stuff, because you get the socks&bows&shoes so everything matches. For the boys it's just the clothes....kinda boring!
Well maybe the next line in August will excite me. What will I do with myself until then??

Now, the girls line on the other hand..well, I'm not so crazy about it. I was really hopping for a line where i could buy almost the whole thing. There are 2 outfits that are a must buy..One being the brown sweat suit..SOO CUTE!
I have a $100 in gymbucks so that mean i need to find $200 worth of clothing..I should be okay since I have two kids to shop for..and worst case I'll just buy my DS a few more pants for when he starts Preschool on the fall.

I like alot of the boy stuff but will be waiting for them to go on sale before buying any. Hopefully the ones I like best will not sell out. My 1 gymbuck will go towards marked down summer shirts and shorts from the old lines. I actually under bought this season not realizing that he still would not fit in the shorts MIL bought him for his Florida visit that past winter and that with potty training we would need spare left at daycare, in the diaper bag and the car. It is not that he goes through the spares but they are not available to be used for day to day wear.

07-24-2006, 12:01 PM
Disneygirl: I managed to spend enough to use to Gymbucks. I will try to describe what I got her since I don't want to hotlink. I got her the brown riding style boots, the crochet flower hairclips, 5 pairs of socks (the solid ones in fall colors) and that long sweater..the brown one with the stripes on it. So basically I got the two more expensive items and then a few little things to get to $100. In person, I was not in love with the squirrels. Just ok, I am just not a huge fan of having critters all of DD clothes, esp now that she is a bit older. I actually liked the big girl line alot more than the little girl line. Have you gotten anything from the Cherry line? I got DD several pieces from that line, I think it is cute. Good luck deciding!
That said, Gymbohaven has a few pics of the new line up...this time around its dogs. The color combo is ok, but I don't know why they have to have dogs on every shirt!! Oh well, it is only a few items, hopefully there are some pieces without the dogs.

ebay Something to remember. Always have a price in mind when bidding. Because once you get sucked into a bidding war, it's easy to lose track of how much you really wanted to pay for it.
That being said...I get a lot of stuff from ebay also. I do tend to get used stuff there for DD's play clothes. I love the style of gymboree but when DD goes into daycare and gets paints all over the shirt that I just paid a pretty penny for, I have a small heart attack. So with ebay, she gets to look cute but I didn't break bank either.

Do you Gymbo experts know if Gymboree does price adjustment?
Last week I bought among other things the Daddy's girl T (online, using my gymbucks), and today I saw it's about $3 cheaper now. Do you think they'll adjust the price for me? If the answer is yes, how should I go about it?
TIA:)

You can always ask at the store -- bring your receipt and the item just in case -- but I'm almost positive that they don't do price adjustments on things bought with Gymbucks. I think they would if it were just bought during a normal sale and then it went down in price the next day.
They always mark stuff down right after Gymbucks.

Try auctionsniper.com You set the max amount you want to bid, and at the last few seconds, it bids for you. That way, you don't go over your limit, and you also don't have to worry about running up the price too early.

Well this makes the 3rd line in a row I'm not too thrilled with for the baby girls. It's better than the last 2 but I think the dog is kinda ugly! Well that just means I'll have more money to spend on Ebay.
Yes, I get a lot of my DD stuff from there. I tend to fall in love with older lines and go crazy. Right now my addiction is the Giraffe Club line, I think it's from 2004, but it's so stinkin cute! So much better than what's out now. I tend to only by stuff that is new with tags, that way I'm not dissappointed when the used stuff comes and it's not as good as it was described. I've also sold some stuff their too. It's great when a bidding war starts. I've never had it happen to my stuff unfortunately, but this one auction I was watching was 2 pairs of shorts, plain ol shorts, my max was $7 (they were used, but I needed the colors) anyway, they ended up at $64!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it, 2 people kept bidding against each other and it was out of control......oh why can't that ever happen to my stuff?

Yup, join me in the club that also isn't overly happy iwht the new line. What the heck are they thinking? I went to babies R us the other night and I found a few real cute outfits for the fall since I was not having much luck with fall stuff for DD at the Gymboree. Hopefully, the Winter collections are much better.
Could anyone tell me if I can return my online purchase at a Gymboree store? I'm a little miffed by the big reductions on purchases I just made, especially when I bought a bit more to get gymbucks and then use them. I want to send it all back, and maybe pick up a couple of items on sale. This is my first time ordering online with them, so I don't know what to expect.
TIA!

AJX - I have returned online purchases at the store. It should not be a problem for you, they will just adjust it to incorporate your gymbucks discount. It can be frustrating how they work their sales, but there is always a big mark down right after gymbuck redemption period. So it just depends on what you get with your gymbucks. This time I bought only full priced items most of which is not yet marked down. So I will keep what I got, but in the past I have purchased sale items and ended up being frustrated like you are. Good luck, but you should not have a problem returning the items.
Lee, thanks so much for the info. I will try that this weekend.
Yes, this has been a learning experience. I generally only shop the sale racks at the store, but I got so excited for the Start Your Engines collection because DS is *such* a car-addict. He sat on my lap and helped me choose which items he liked best, and usually he doesn't care about anything he wears except his shoes. So that's why I made the big online purchase.

** I have a question***
I bought a few things a few weeks ago and that was during the period when you could earn gymbucks..so, my question is if I return the stuff I bought during that period what will they do since I have already redeemed my gymbucks and they won't be avle to take them away..I hope that question is not confusing..I wrote it the best way i could.
lee60657
08-01-2006, 12:23 PM
Disneygirl: Good question. I understood it. I think nothing happens...if you have your receipt for the items you get what you paid for them back. I asked that same question this time when I earned my Gymbucks. I am not returning anything though so I have not tried this. I think you just have to keep in mind the 60 day policy....after that you would just get store credit. I would call the store near you before you go and confirm that this is their policy.

Lee Thanks for hellping me with my question: Most of the stuff I bought is now on sale and I really just want to rebuy all the stuff thats onsale now and I'll even take the difference on a giftcard. I figured it out and its only about a $12 saving if I rebuy the stuff..but I figure $12 bucks is $12 bucks and it will allow be to pick up something else for the kids.

DISNEYGIRL... I could be wrong but I think you can only get store credit if you return stuff purchased during gymbucks earning time. I could be totally wrong, but for some reason that's what I thought....I just remember a sales girl telling me that they were losing alot of money because people would come in and buy tons of stuff to get the gymbucks and then just come back and return it all later.
You'll have to let us know!

DisneyGirl: I also would like to know if they let you return items bought during gymbucks earning time, I have 2 things I'd like to take back if that's the case (although I think JAYLIN's point makes sense) .
On a different subject: does any of you own the "Tiger Love" line jumper-dress? I'm thinking about getting it on ebay, but I can't quite tell if I really like it or not.
I don't know if it happens to you guys, but many times I like something when I see it online, but don't like it when I see it in person, or the other way around.
I'd appreciate it if somebody can tell me if it's a really cute dress or not.
TIA:)

malala I have the tiger love dress and have to say that I am not totally in love, so I think I am actually thinking of selling it. Personally it seems too pale for my DD, but I can see that with the right accessories (maybe a dark red onesie and some tights) it could love perfect on someone else. HTH.
coupon I actually called gymboree about this today to complain about not getting any coupons. They told me that coupons are handled by a different entity and they have no control over that.

I'm new to the Gymboree obesession, so I thought I'd ask in here.....
I'm in love with the Jr. Varsity line. When could I expect it to go on sale? I was thinking maybe there will be a winter line coming out in the fall and it might be get marked down a bit, but being new to Gymbo, I wasn't sure. I did pick up some of the shirts that were marked down in the Back to School sale, but I'd like to get some of the other pieces that weren't included in that. TIA.

There is a new line coming out this week, and then another one the first week of September. Usually they only have 2 full-price lines at a time, so it probably would be marked down then. There aren't any guarantees, though. They will probably also have a Labor Day sale, although the last few years, that has been a sale on already marked-down lines.

Ok, another newbie here... I was at Gymbo the other day; I never buy b/c I just can't justify the $$ (and I have a boy, so that makes it easier... I couldn't resist the girl clothes). I've got this ongoing obsession with cute cardigan style sweaters for boys and it irks me to no end that they just don't make them for boys.... well.... I was at Gymbo like I said and fell in love with this cute little cream colored sweater with brown argyle like stripes and little elephants across the bottom of it. Of course I bought it (and it's obviously a winter item - very thick) but not the onesie to go under it. My question is, has anybody seen this? Is it old or new line? I know it's not online and I'm wondering if they have things in the stores that aren't online. This was a full-priced item. Also, I'm wondering how often they do the gymbucks promo. They were doing it last time I was there, but I didn't get anything b/c he's already got enough clothes with lizards and orange accents!

I hit Gymboree this afternoon and ended up picking up a few things for DD from the new line. I actually liked some of it much better in person that online. I steered clear of many of the shirts as they were covered with animals and cutesy sayings again :( No offense to those who like that kind of thing :) I still managed to buy some things though. I posted pics of what I got out of the new line in the CC Closet thread in this forum if anyone is interested to see it.

Grr, I just bought some clothes the beginning of the week and took the tags off on Wednesday! I had no idea that Gymbucks were starting yesterday. I hate it when that happens.
Gymbo socks -We love them. They fit pretty close according to size and they do not dig into my daughter's skin. The colors don't fade and they hold up really well. I think they are worth the investment.

I love the kids clothes from H&M -- the cotton shirts are nice and soft. They don't last forever, but they're also not very expensive at all -- $4 for a solid color t-shirt, $6 for long-sleeves, that sort of thing.

DIsneygirl - the clothes at H&M are pretty good quality...they are super cheap though...so for the price they are good quality. They have alot of cute fall things now.
Chylynn I bought a ton of stuff from Gymboree on Tuesday night and got the Gymbuck email early Thursday morning. I called my local store to see if I could get gymbucks for my purchase and I was told I could return everything if the tags were still on, but that I could not rebuy the items I was returning. They said I was "welcome to buy any of the items if they had them in the store". They were pretty snippy with me about it. I emailed Gymbo's customer service just to see what their response will be and I have not heard back yet. I still have the tags on everything (it was all from the new line) so I am considering returning it all and then ordering online. I haven't decided yet, but if I don't I will be missing out on $75 worth of gymbucks :(
Marisa

didn't get gymbucks? for those that missed out b/c they bought too early, I would go rebuy the exact same sizes/items and get my Gymbucks and then return them on the other non-Gymbuck receipt. The only thing is that hopefully they have the sizes you need but if it was a new line you shouldn't have a problem.
lee60657
08-25-2006, 12:57 PM
alienhost I think I will do that. I want the $75 worth of gymbuck even if I might not use them. It just irks me that they have that "re-stocking" policy. I am sure they probably have the stuff I want at the store. I just checked online and they have everything, so I think I am going to just get it online since I can get free shipping. Then I will just return it all to the store. It's a pain, but I guess next time I will pay more attention to when Gymbucks are being offered
alienhost
08-25-2006, 01:04 PM
lee if you can get free shipping then definitely buy on-line. Total PITA to do it but worth it if you want the gymbucks. Personally I think that is a sucky policy - the gymbucks get you to spend more $$ anyway so why not accomodate? But at least there is a way around it!
chylynn eventhough you cut the tags off you could do the same, rebuy everything and return the ones w/ tags on your older receipt.
JAYLIN
08-25-2006, 09:12 PM
chylynn....I completely agree with alienhost!!! Buy everything again, either online or in the store and return it with your old receipt!
I always do goofy things during Gymbucks.....I can't help myself!
I stopped at Gymbo Thurs after work (it was a smaller store) but it's on my way home from work. Oh, first off I should start the story by saying, Thurs morning after I got my email, I went right to the website. I loaded my cart with 18items. I tried to checkout, and kept getting an error. About a hour later I was FINALLY able to checkout and I only had 5 things left in my cart! So I gave up. I really wanted to get Summer Safari stuff for DD for next year, the line is 60% off and I LOVED IT this year.
So.....I went to the store and they had NOTHING! All they had was the Cherry line 40%off. So I managed to spend $150 on a line that I never ever really loved (what the hell's wrong with me!)
So....today I go to a different store (which is a tier 1) and I walked in and felt like I hit the JACKPOT!!! They had everything from the safari line! So I returned all the cherry pie stuff and bought all safari. The girl was super nice and I was so happy!
Now I'm just waiting to see what the baby sale is going to be like, and one of the sales girls said she thinks their might be a friends&family sale soon. And maybe primrose will be onsale by then. Gymbohaven says a new line is comming out the 1st week of Sept. So hopefully the 20%off line will become 40% offs, then maybe it'll be worth buying them.
They need to bring back the buy 2 get 3rd item free sale....that one rocked!
It just always seems that towards the end of the gymbucks period the always run a good coupon, and I always end up kicking myself for buying early.
We'll see!!!

Well, I went ahead and bought everything online and then returned the things I bought this past week to the store. I was a bit annoyed though, b/c while I was in there another women was returning all this stuff because she "put it on the wrong credit card" and they were letting her rebuy all of it. They had told me I could not rebuy the items b/c they had a 24 hour restocking period. Whatever, at the end of the day I am getting my $75 worth of gymbucks:)
Oh, I checked out the new line....do not like it at all...what is up with all of the forest animals? First squirrels, now foxes? Hopefully they have a cute line when its gymbuck redemption time.

Lee I think the reason why the store let her return and rebuy is because she most likely was paying the same price for all her items and was not earning gymbucks, since you wanted to return all your stuff so you could get your gymbucks they could not do that for you. Weird I know.
Off to look at the up coming line......

Sorry I'm still confused  Is there a 20% off sale this weekend, or was I misreading that as well. And more importantly is it online? (we have no gumboree's here!)

I went to gymboree today and asked the sales lady. She said there MIGHT be a sale this weekend, it all depends on how sales are during this gymbucks time. Of course this is all according to her so she might not really know or she could be bs'ing me.

I hate when the sales people act like they don't know if there is going to be a sale!!!! Of course they know! I mean corperate just doesn't decide last min to have a labor day sale on Friday and send out a million e-mails to all the gymborees..or do they?? Plus, it labor day everyone has sales!!!!!!!! :P

Yeah, I don't know. I guess they could wait to decide since they haven't done any advertising or anything, but I bet they know.

I think I'm going to buy that jacket, but I'll wait until this weekend to see if there is a sale. How does it run? I've found that most gymbo stuff runs a bit on the small side...is that true with the jacket as well?

You Gymbo veterans probably already know this, but Gymbohaven has an email newsletter and she tells you all about the sales. This is from the one I got this morning:
Tons of sales coming! Are your pocket books ready??
Labor Day Sale - 20% off sale merchandise only. Starts 8/31 and goes til 9/4
Baby Sale - sale price standards (ex. $10, $20) on newborn and baby lines (newer two lines only).
Circle Of Friends (COF) - 30% off entire order. Starts 9/15 - 9/17 Cards are handed out during Labor Day Sale - 2 codes for online ordering are FRIEND or CIRCLE, card needed for instore purchase.
Gymbucks earning is going on now until Oct 1st. They extended the earning period :)

Baby Sale I just looked at my Gymbo Visa stmt and the Baby sale starts Sept 7th, so not by labor day weekend :(.
Do you think the Kitty quilted coat will be included in the baby sale? If I bought it this weekend would I be able to get a price adjustment b/c it is within 7 days?

solong Its a tough call on Gymboree sizing, I think it tends to run a bit big, but my DD is 18 mths, about 33 inches tall and about 22.5 lbs and I bought her the 18-24 mth and she has plenty of room in it...it will last through some of the winter. All of her summer Gymbo clothes are 12-18 mths and they all fit her except for the onesies. Hope that helps :) Again, the jacket is adorable.
jbennythanks for posting the sale info....so 20% off is only on sale items...I know some of you ladies are disappointed, but for me that means I did not miss out on yet another promotion, b/c everything I just bought was full price:rolleyes:
alienhost I would think you would get the adjustment. I am going to call my store and ask them. Hopefully I get the nice girl! I will post what they tell me about the mysterious LD sale :)

This is what I was told when I called the store near me: Starting tomorrow all reduced items will be an additional 20% off. She said the sale will run through the weekend at least, but was not sure how many days after that (if at all) it would be going on.
Not sure if that helps or makes things more confusing!
