I have only watched the show once...it is crazy how neurotic those brides are...my family would have killed me by now if I was acting like that during this process!

I didn't watch the show recently, but I remember seeing it a year or so ago when I was engaged. Man, it sure made me feel like I was doing good in comparison to those looney brides! :p My friend said she watched it the other night & there was a bride on there who was asking one of her BMs to die her hair so her hair color would be similar/identical to the rest of the BMs. WTF is up with THAT?!?!?
To be fair though, wedding planning CAN be super stressful! Not every woman is going to be fabulous in her (probably) first attempt to plan a big formal event/party for a large group of people. Plus planning this sort of event while also keeping up with the rest of your daily life (career, family, friends, hobbies etc.) can be quite a daunting task. Also, some brides really do have a lot of pressure put on them by various friends &/or family members who try to influence how the wedding is done...sometimes down to the tiniest of details. I sure am glad that none of my family or friends were really pushy about being super involved in planning our wedding. That helped keep my stress level down a LOT. ;)

I loooove, Bridezillas!!! :D :D :D These chicks are unreal. I'm so glad the second season finally started. My hubby even watched with me because it is just so much fun to trash on these mean, overly demanding brides.
Jada's at the top of my list, so far. I can't believe this woman! Making her bridesmaids line up for fittings military style and color their hair. Hello!
Thuy seems to be the second worst so far. Me, me, me, me, me! She is so freaking self involved it's not even funny. Evidentally, she thinks her dressmaker should close down on the day of her fittings because she's just not getting enough attention. Oh, come on! :p

I don't like any of those brides... They are a hot mess. The one bride that I absolutely hated is the one that who's mom's rental car was on a flat and she showed her azz so bad.. She was a wench from the get go and I wanted to punch her so bad.... Jada was a wench as well. If I was that interior designer I would have walked on her big time. Her dress was not all that either. Her MOH was a wench as well.... The beautician was a wench as well I hated her attitude. The 19 year old was a freaking big baby that it is apparent that her marriage will not last. His parents seemed to not take too well either.

I've only recently begun watching the show--I love it!! There are some girls on there who I am suprised are now married!! I think FI would've left me by now if I even hinted at that kind of behavior!
LOL! I can't believe anyone even participated in these weddings! Oi--I know if I ever acted like that that I would be a very lonely bride! :)

This is so true! The rental car fiasco could have been prevented if that bride had stopped for a minute to remember that the world doesn't revolve around her. I felt sorry for the guys that came to fix it. I'm so glad they decided to leave the car with a flat. As for Jada, I can't see that marriage lasting too long if she continues with that attitude. Where do they find these brides?

I love this show for the pure entertainment of how these brides act....I must say, they 19 year old bride who decided the plan her wedding in like 3 weeks because "she wanted her wedding right NOW" was just out of control. She was yelling at everyone in sight, especially her parents who were paying for everything and they just stood there and took it.
I must say, that I was in my best friend's wedding this past april and she was a Bridezilla. I love her to death but she was just out of control. She was yelling at her mom because a friend of their family had offered to help decorate the church and she was mad because she didn't like the lady. She was a total priss. I am sure everyone else wanted to knock her silly but we all just let her have her day. I swear, the next day she was totally back to normal.

I personally think that one gets that way when they have too many people involved. When I was planning mine I did it all alone and no one to influence me either way. I think that is the way it should be: Only the bride and/or groom to plan the wedding with the help of the coordinator: Keep the friends and family OUT!

I think that show is hilarious. It makes my DH realize that I wasn't the bridzezilla he accused me of being. :p

Well, I'm going to be in the minority. . . .
YES, sometimes the girls are definitely crazy and over-the-top--for instance, the 19 year old was just plain nuts.
But I keep in mind that the only situations *we* see are the ones that create a fuss/major problems. And, as someone else mentioned, a lot of these brides are dealing with people in their lives/wedding planning that aren't exactly, ahem. . . "helpful" either.
Clearly, they are ALL drama queens IRL or else they wouldn't have even agreed to be on a show that would potentially portray them badly.
Sometimes I do feel bad for these girls when the ILs are driving them batty, they pay good money for things they aren't getting, and everyone and their brother/mother etc. is in their face.
As a former bride who didn't have problems until other people created them, I can usually see where these girls are coming from.
JMHO!!!
ETA: And for the record, I only had 2 Bridezilla moments. . . . not an entire hour/wedding planning season full. But I bet if this show had followed me around. . . . . that is what would have made it on-screen.

Hey all,
I had to pipe in here because my fiance's cousin ranks up there with the ultimate bridezillas.....at least IMHO.
Just to set the stage, cousin and her husband got married 1.5 years ago on the sly, then faked the "engagement," an engagement party, bridal shower, and HUGE wedding. She had told me before they got married that they "could get married and still get the engagement gifts and bridal shower gifts" etc. So they lied to 200 of their closest friends and family (including the best man and the grandparents).
Now, let's say the bride's name is Sandy. She could frequently be heard referring to the wedding as "The Sandy Show." I heard from her stepmom that when she met with the religious official, she told him to keep God out of it as much as possible, that it was about HER, not about her and her husband, but about HER, and that's where the focus should stay.
For some reason, Sandy thought she should include me (FI of her cousin) in her wedding party, but when she found out that I hadn't included her in mine (we're not close!) she promptly kicked me out. Then she called me a B#TCH to other family members, and told them that she hated me.
She insisted on getting items from her registry for her birthday and Christmas. Well, I have to qualify that, because she wanted money as well. LOL. She also went around telling everyone when her shower was without being asked. Like, "BTW, my shower is on......."
Meanwhile, Sandy's husband's sister was pregnant and due in Feb. When Sandy found out that sis was planning to bring the infant to the wedding and keep him in a separate room so she could nurse him, she flipped out. She screamed and yelled saying "I'm the most important person on my wedding day...the baby is not more important than me!!! I don't wanted the D^MNED thing at my wedding!" [GASP] She said this about her own nephew!! She complained about it so many times, including the morning of the wedding, when sis was a bit late getting to the venue. "I'm sure it's because of BABY THINGS....it's always the baby!!!"
The list of things goes on, really. I"m just thankful that her "wedding" is over. I don't know how long the actual marriage will last, considering most times we see her she's complaining about her husband for one reason or another.
Has anyone met a worse bridezilla than this? In all fairness though, I am biased. FI and I had set our wedding date and seven months later she came along and set hers for four weeks before ours, for no particular reason. We had time constraints on our date, and they didn't. They didn't care at all that a lot of the same people would be invited. I might not have minded if I hadn't known all along that her wedding was fake, while we were ACTUALLY supposed to get married. (We ended up postponing for other reasons though, so it worked out in the end.)

I wandered in here and though y'all might get a kick out of this...
I made a bridezilla cake-topper for my best friend's bridal shower by taking a plastic dinosaur, sewing a lace dress on it and hot glueing a veil on top of it's little dino head. My pal was NOT a bridezilla per se (though very detail oriented and unusually stressed out) however everyone including the bride got a huge kick out of it...
"Here she is...Miss Bridezi-ill-a!"

My cousin did the same thing, only she ended up canceling three days before the wedding. This was the SECOND time they'd cancelled, too. I was particularly pissed this time because I'd had to RSVP no to my good friend's wedding because it was scheduled for the same day as my cousin's wedding. And not only was it too late to change my RSVP, obviously, but it was also too late to make plans to make the three + hour drive to my friend's wedding and get a room for that night. :( I'm still so dissapointed that I had to miss it. And my stupid cousin never has gotten married. But they recently had a baby together.  I hope they enjoyed the wedding gift we gave them.

:D There are two episodes of Bridezilla tonight on WE! Woohoo.
I wonder if they will be as bad as the one I mentioned above. I wish we could have gotten HER on the show! Oh well! Who else will be watching?!?! :p

This isn't from the Bridezilla show, but has anyone seen the episode of Wedding from the Knot or whatever it's called where the bride is a psycho witch from hell? She says the "f word" at least 40 times to everyone in the room while she is getting dressed for the ceremony - including telling her father to "shut the f*** up and get out of my face!". Then when she is walking up the stairs to the church, her mom is carrying her veil. Her mom loses her balance on the steps and it pulls on the brides head. She yells, "Oh my god! You are SUCH AN IDIOT!". Yes, she says that to her own mother...
If I ever spoke that way to either of my parents, I would be picking myself up off the floor! Talk about disrespect. She was an absolute witch!

Yeah, I know what you mean. Don't know how some brides get away with it. But I agree with the poster here who said that a lot of times on these shows, they are just showing you the times when something really stressful came up, and many of us would "flip out" in that situation. Certainly not as badly as the one you mentioned, but just in general.... :p

I can't believe how some women act when they are getting married. It makes me wonder what the hell the groom saw in them in the first place!
However, I bet these parents are letting her slide because they realize her husband now has to deal with her psycho ass and not them anymore and they are beyond happy about that!

LOL, had to chime in here. At the wedding of the bridezilla I mentioned above, the family tables held up a sign and stood up and shouted "NO BACKSIES" at the end of the father's speech. It was hilarious!! :)

Sometimes I wonder what happens to bridezillas after the wedding is over, but in this case I can tell you. I wrote alot about J's cousin bridezilla and her fake wedding in June. Now it's November and here's what's going on...
J's uncle went to visit her recently but was shocked at how she and her hasband fought and disrespected each other all the time, so he sat them down and literally asked them whether they planned to stay married! Her dad went on to tell us that he thought she might be living back home in the next couple of months  And he said that they have the wedding video and it's amazing, but he's not going to show it to anyone until he's sure they're going to stay married!
Anyone else know a couple that broke up before even sending out their wedding thank you notes?
i must admit that i acted like a bit of a bridezilla on my wedding day. though, i kinda have an excuse for it. the summer blackout of 2003 happened on thursday night and our wedding was on saturday night. until friday evening, i didn't even know if our wedding was going to happen at all, and i couldn't even do anything wedding related until then either bc of lack of power. on top of it all, not one person offered to help me do anything, so i was stuck doing everything at the last minute with no help.
i ended up yelling at the manager of our reception site bc i had asked him politely two times to serve our guests water. it was 96 degrees outside with 100% humidity, and they weren't serving them water. i was fuming. it was the straw that broke the camel's back. i am a little embarrassed that i did this, but i just couldn't take anymore stress.
