Thought it would be interesting/fun to see what CC members shop for on ebay!

I'm currently trying to build my future classroom library so I've mostly been searching for kids books. These are my actual saved favorite searches:

Department 56 halloween village
DK Eyewitness children's
scholastic
teacher supplies

My last win was "The Fountainhead" a VHS movie for DH. I've not been too successful with my children's books - it's a hot category apparently! The bidders are vicious! ;)

How about you??

I'm currently on the search for a brushed nickel bathroom sink faucet that's cheaper than I can get it for at Home Depot or Lowes.

I've searched for nursing wear and Patrick the Pup stuff. I got my huge Patrick the Pup for DD's nursery from eBay...I go back every now and then to see if they have the big ones. Not that I'll buy another, but I just like to see.

I was on a hunt for my new bathroom stuff that we registered for. . but they discontinued it before the showers/wedding. Well, we got the shower curtain, but nothing else. . .and I just LOVE the print. . .so I was searching there to find more stuff. I FOUND IT there. . .I KNEW I could always count on e-bay! :D

Lenox Continental Dining Platinum - I'm picking up extra pieces of our china (like serving pieces and Christmas accent plates) here and there as I see them at a good price

Rowan 4-ply Cotton - there's a sweater I want to knit, and the yarn for it seems to be about 1/2 the price on Ebay compared to online yarn stores...I've been waiting to find the color/quantity I want.

I search for the name of the hotel in Scotland where we got married - they often have old postcards from the 30s - 50s showing the hotel. I have 2 so far and I want to collect a bunch of them and frame them.

I also search for the "Savoring..." series of cookbooks by Williams-Sonoma. I love them, but I don't want to pay $40 for a cookbook! Even if it is more like a coffee table book than a regular cookbook.

My current saved searches are:

Wedgwood Persia China, discontinued by wedgwood about 6 months after I got married!

Lenox Moonspun China, my mom's china pattern.

Dept 56 Little Town of Bethlehem village, most has been retired, and I still need 1 piece to complete it... but there is one on ebay right now that I'm *watching*, so this search may end soon!

Shearwater Pottery, even more in demand (higher priced) since the pottery shop and family compound were basically destroyed by Katrina.

Right now I am searching for a pair of LEI boots that I can't seem to find in any store.

I also like to look at designer eyeglass frames, like Guess or Kenneth Cole

For a while I was searching for any pink Burberry items, and I ended up with a tote bag and a blouse

Oh, and I also search for Ireland or Liverpool football (soccer) memorabilia for my BF

There is also a certain Ralph Lauren baby dress that I am searching for for my daughter

Right now I've been looking for:

- a Yamo baby/toddler carrier
- Barefoot Contessa cookbooks
- children's vinyl records for DD

I've looked (and still look) for my mom and grandmother's china patterns. I've found some great deals for them. My mom was THRILLED because she didnt have all of her china and my clumsy dad broke some so she's been asking me if I've checked on Ebay ;)

Those are my favorites, the most recent item I searched for (and bought) that wasn't on that list was a book called "Ouch" from the early 80's that I'd loved as a kid. Now DS loves it too!
