I'm curious as to how your health insurance works when you are seeing a doctor out of state. My insurance is with Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC but I go to school in FL. I need to go to the doctor (OB/GYN) and not sure if I'll have time to make a trip home to NC.

I'm wondering if most Drs. offices take any insurance. I looked it up on the insurance website and didn't see anything about it.

PS- I put this in travel in case anyone has ever had to see a doctor while traveling or somewhere out of their home state.

I would call the 1800 number on the back of the card. I have had to go to the doctor while traveling and I'm on an HMO and we had to coordinate it for referrals my customer service was very helpful.

My husband's company is based in CA, so we have BC/BS of CA. We live in Colorado. It isn't a problem - you should be able to to go the BC/BS of NC website and put in your information in order to find a list of doctors in Florida.
