When purchasing perfume for yourself, do you usually select parfum, eau de parfum, or eau de toilette?

Perfume is such a personal thing, I have never purchased it for anyone other than me and my mother...she had mentioned how much she liked Donna Karan cashmere mist.
I prefer lighter fragrances, sometimes heavy scents make my nose itch, so I stick to a body spray and eau de toilette. I try a new scent once a year.

Honestly, I rarely see true parfum anywhere. Most fragrances I've shopped for were either eau de parfum or eau de toilette. I also prefer lighter fragrances, because I can't wear heavier ones without sneezing and getting a sore throat, so I look mostly for eau de toilette. I will wear eau de parfum if I've tried it out before buying it, and know it won't make me sick. I don't think I'd pay much attention to it at all if I didn't have allergies. HTH!
