LOS ANGELES - Former "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff filed for divorce Thursday from actress Pamela Bach, his wife of 16 years.

"The couple have agreed to an amicable settlement," said Hasselhoff's publicist, Judy Katz.

Hasselhoff, 53, and Bach, 42, wed in December 1989. They have two teenage daughters.

Details on custody and property issues were not disclosed.

Hasselhoff, who cited irreconcilable differences, played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in "Baywatch" from 1989 to 2000. He also starred in the 1980s TV series "Knight Rider," in which his character, Michael Knight, teamed with a talking Pontiac Trans Am sports car to fight crime.

Bach has appeared on the soap opera "The Young and The Restless" and in numerous episodes of "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider."

We have Hoff stuff all over my department. We love watching and laughing at the videos. He was at my work yesterday early in the morning and we missed him. We wanted to take a funny picture with him but we couldn't find him by the time everyone got here. He gives us a good laugh at least once a week.

I saw clips of his videos on TV and I couldn't stop laughing. Plus that morning on the radio I heard he was trying to get into a VIP section at a concert and security wouldn't let him in. When he said "Do you know who I am? Do you know who you are messing with? I'm the HOFF!!!", security kindly escorted him out of the venue.

(Forgive me if the above story isn't accurate...but that's the jist of it. I heard it at 6:45 AM and my brain doesn't function until at least noon). :)

Hasselhoff "Refused" Aboard Flight

David Hasselhoff was barred from boarding a flight to Los Angeles because he showed up too drunk at London's Heathrow airport, according to reports. The former Baywatch star had his travel plans postponed by two hours yesterday after airport officials declared him unfit to fly. Witnesses tell British newspaper The Sun the 54-year-old, who claims to have beaten his battle with booze, was clearly inebriated and his behavior startled them. One source, who saw the actor pick up the boss of the airport's duty free shop, said, "He seemed merry. He's a huge fella and the manageress is tiny. He picked her up then put her down." A British Airways spokesman confirmed, "A male passenger was denied boarding on the BA279 Heathrow to Los Angeles service because he was deemed unfit for travel. He was assessed later and passed fit to fly on BA283." Hasselhoff's publicist could not immediately be reached by Wenn for comment.

TMZ has learned what went down with David Hasselhoff and ex-wife Pamela Bach Hasselhoff in court yesterday.

Hasselhoff won primary physical custody and sole legal custody of the former couple's two daughters. Sources day Pamela will have the kids from Friday to Sunday every other weekend. She could also have dinner with the kids Wednesday night, but that's it.

We're told the judge indicated he might be willing to change the ruling to a fifty-fifty split, but only if Bach attends anger management classes for a year and submits to drug and alcohol testing.

What happened? I guess I'm confused because I thought David lost custody not long ago for that "hamburger video" incident. I would think that his wife would have primary custody until he can prove he's clean and sober. Maybe judging America's Got Talent has straightened him out.
