Anyone have a bullmastiff/mastiff? My FH wants one really bad, and I am trying to do research on them. I have experience with very large dogs, but don't know much about this particular breed.

No but I saw one at a fair a few years ago. Never saw a dog that big before in my life. He could be compared to a pony!
Here's a link to the bullmastiff breed club.

My FH & I own a mastiff, a dogue de bordeaux (aka French Mastiff, the dog from the movie, Turner & Hooch) and although he's not a 'bullmastiff' he's a mastiff. He's an awesome dog, I really couldn't ask for a better boy. He's going to be 2 years old next month and we've had him since he was 2 months old, so go ahead & ask any questions you might have! I'll be glad to share my info & experience....
Here's his online photo album if you wanna take a look ;)

That is the kind that FH wants! Can you tell me more? Is he a drooler? How is he with kids/other dogs, etc.
Did you get him from a breeder? I looked at the pictures, he is awesome! We really want a big dog, and we narrowed it to a mastiff of some kind, or a great dane- but I am leaning towards the mastiff.

DDB's are awesome dogs. My FH researched the breed for about a year, after our pit bull died, before we found Dozer. We got him from a show breeder in Oklahoma (they are a rare breed here in the U.S. - there aren't that many breeders) and had him flown here. We bought him to show, and have finally got him Ch. titled, as we plan on using him to stud when we get a female.
He's an awesome boy. I've never seen another DDB before, so we ALWAYS get comments when we're out & about with him. He is the friendliest dog I've EVER met, he doesn't know the meaning of the word stranger. We don't have children, nor know any, but when we've been out & about he's been just as friendly towards children as he is towards everyone else. He is very easy going, he's a BIG couch potatoe. My FH works out of town sometimes and I feel much better at night with him, he turns into "GUARD DOG" at night, or when I'm home alone. He lives inside, and the only bad thing I can say about him being an inside dog is that he sheds. His coat is short, but man does that dog shed. In all the research I found prior to getting him, I couldn't find anything saying that they shed, and they do. He also snores. SNORES LIKE CRAZY. My FH doesn't snore, but our dog does
Dozer is very friendly towards EVERYONE & EVERYTHING. We have 2 other dogs & a cat and they are all best friends. When we're out on walks, Dozer just wants to go play with other dogs. He was very well socialized when he was a pup though, and I've heard that aggression can be a problem towards other animals in some lines, if not properly socialized as a pup. The only time he drools is right after he eats. He 'foams' while he's eating & drinking, and we wipe off his mouth afterwards. We got him from a line that's been being worked towards getting a 'dryer mouth' ddb, so that might be why. (Which I'm VERY glad for, the first thing I said when my FH was showing me info on the breed was "I am NOT dealing with a drooling dog" LoL)
One thing I have to warn you about is they are STUBBORN dogs. VERY hard-headed, you have to be firm with them, and make sure you follow through. Dozer tests us on a regular occasion (like getting on the couch when he knows he's not supposed to be up there) and we have to make sure we follow through. He hates being bathed (when he hears the word "Shower" he lays down and won't budge) and we have to wash him bi-weekly so he can live in the house, so it's a constant battle.
All in all he's an awesome dog. He's very loving, wants to be with us all the time. Whatever room we're in, he's in there with us. He's not destructive at all, and never was, even when he was a pup. He's a big boy, his head is 29 inches around & his chest is almost 40 inches. Any other questions, feel free to ask. As you can see, I absolutely love talking about my boy :D
Here's a website that talks about the pros/cons of DDB's. Take a look, everything on there is accurate, in our experience.
