I was wondering if any of you know of any Australian Cattle Dog rescues. I rescued one (Chapman) and found him a good home with a friend a few months ago and now he's taken to chasing her horses (which is what he's bred to do) but he's also chasing her neighbor's cows and calves and he's getting pretty pissed - he was shooting over his head on Saturday. My friend has been forced to put him in a dog pen but he climbs up the sides and gets out. Now he's tied up and she HATES tying him up. She can't keep him inside because he's becomes very distructive. She/we really need to find someone who has the time to train him. He's really the sweetest dog and loves everyone. He's great with kids and other dogs. He's so gentle with other dogs and cats. He's housebroken and on heartworm preventative. He has not been neutared yet. I think he's about 8-9 months old.
If anyone has any help to offer it would be greatly appreciated. He's such a sweet dog and I'm so sad that things are not working out for him right now.:(
