With all of the magazines I subsrcibe to gearing up for fall, I guess it's time for me to do the same. There is a section in the July'05 issue of Elle and I'm loving, the high end/mid-low range combo so I'm thinking that is going to be my look for fall. Here's my version of the look:

ooooh i love both those track jackets! I think I'm going "ghetto fabulous meets preppy" this fall regardless of what the magazines suggest. I'm thinking jeans, trousers, long-sleeved tees/sweaters, peacoats, accessories galore, and if I add a track jacket to my list, I'm gonna need another pair of old school tennies. I'm so excited!!!!

I saw the jacket when I was watching a channel on the my satelite called IMF and this video from Japan by a singer named AI had it on in green. I was like: "I GOTTA HAVE IT!"she was wearing it like a jacket with matching pants and a tank. Actually it's a dress but you can wear it either way. How I'm going to wear it is w/ jeans and heels or if I am dressing down, I will wear it with the matching Adidas pants and some of those new racing shoes that are the rage this year...

Yep, I do live in a warm climate! It's not uncommon for us to have the air-conditioning on in November & December! Its so funny when the stores try to sell winter coats & heavy sweaters here. It gets cool here in coastal AL, but I only wore a sweater about 10 times last winter!

Catch, those are really cute shoes--
I'd wear them with a pair of cropped dark jeans or cropped brown tweedy pants (in the stores for fall)...cropped pants to show them off :) On top I'd put maybe one of those new kimono-sleeved turtlenecks, maybe in a cream or even a pale pink to match the bow on the shoe. Finish off with some yellow gold jewelry.

If you have a pair of army-green cargo pants left over from the summer, you could dress them up with the shoes--put a pale pink tee and tailored jean jacket on top.

greenbunny, I usually switch bags by season. I have an everyday bag for work and I have a bag I use on weekends. Before, I used to switch bags in the morning but a couple of times, I ended up forgetting my wallet and starving all day long. No more! lol

Ooh, too weird! I posted that blazer too, on a prior page... and I've recently developed an obsession with Isabella Fiore bags (I posted some I was eyeing awhile back in the "I want, I need, I have to have..." thread).

Jarocha, just had to chime in that you can't go wrong with Diane von Furstenberg. Awhile ago I bought a simple black wrap dress from her and it's been a great dress for a variety of events. The one you posted is pretty!

I am *so* excited for Fall. Some women are just not born to wear summer clothing and I am among them. So far, I've already purchased a couple of new jeans, both casual and tailored for a more polished look. I found a pair of adorable brown wedge-heel moccasin type shoes at a local shop that I've worn once or twice already. Oh, and I bought a pair of brown gauchos that I have year to wear because I can't decide if they look hideous or cute. I've been picking up great pants on sale at Esprit.com too. If you have a curvy figure (there's a 10" difference between my hips and my waist) and like to wear a lower waist, Esprit's Weekend pants might be for you.
