Didn't see a thread on this movie anywhere.

DH and I saw it last night, and while it was a well-made, well-acted movie, I didn't really like it. It was fine for what it was, but I felt like Spielberg made the wrong movie. I would've much rather seen a movie ABOUT the attack in Munich and the aftermath (world's reaction, etc) than see a movie about hunting down terrorists (who were portrayed as the nicest guys in the world) and the toll it takes on the hunters.

Thoughts?

There has been a LOT of controversy surrounding this movie. Before I saw it, I thought people were nuts for condemning it, but now I see their point.

I don't know. FH and I saw this movie last week (our city was chosen as a screening city). It was incredibly hard for me to watch. It's the same feeling I got when I watched Schindler's List. It's one of my favorite movies, but not something I'd whip out when company came over...

This movie I think was AMAZINGLY well made. Showing the decline of Eric Bana's character I think was essential. To me, it said that revenge ISN'T sweet. Look what happened to these guys. While they wanted revenge for the horrible acts that were commited at Munich, they ended up no better than the terrorists themselves.

I think this story needed to be told. It's horrible that at 21, I had no idea this travisty had even happened. That's just wrong. I truly think it's one of the most Oscar worthy movies I've ever seen. I think Eric Bana should be nominated because his acting was simply amazing. I'm glad I saw it, but I prolly wouldn't see it again. Incredibly well made and a very interesting message. Thanks for starting this thread!!

BTW- my favorite character was definatly the guy who wanted receipts...I laughed my butt off!! :)
