Hi there-

I am looking for your input. Do you think that it matters if the diaper bag you choose is gender specific to your baby?

I love the "Pink Stripe" bag at this link:

http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/nsearch?follow-pro=1&catalog=thebabybungalow&vwcatalog=thebabybungalow&query=escape%20pod

But, we don't know if we are having a boy or a girl (should know tomorrow).

Even if it is a boy, would it look odd if I went w/ the Pink Stripe one? I figure that I am the one carrying the bag, not the baby! But, I'd love to get your opinions...

Thanks :)

I would get what you like....its your bag, not your baby's :) I have a blue diaper bag and I have a little girl.

I don't think it matters at all. Get what you like.

By the way, I have a Fleurville and love it. :)

Great question! I've always wondered people's opinion on this as well.

You carry it, not your kid! Get one you like, think of it as your purse. BTW, the escape pod you linked to is not really large enough for a diaper bag- but fleurville makes their other diaper bags (sling tote and mothership) in that pattern too :) .

Thanks for all of the input. The Escape Pod will be my mini diaper bag for quick trips to places. I also have an Eddie Bauer one that I love and is bigger.

A friend of mine bought a fuschia bag and is having twin boys.....she asked the same question and ITA w/ everyone else, it's your bag, not the baby's! :)

Totally agree -- I've got a boy, and all my diaper bags are rather girly. But hey, I'm the one carrying it!
