For those of you who chose Pottery Barn Bedding for your baby, what are your thoughts on the quality? I had picked out a collection that I liked from PBK but then read in Baby Bargains that it was rated a C. I wanted to know others thoughts...

DD's crib bedding and alot of other nursery items are from PBKids. Here is my opinion on most of what I have from there:

Crib bedding (bumper, quilt, crib sheets): The bumper is decent quality...not that puffy, but that is probably a good thing. I have washed it and it has not fallen apart or anything. The quilt is the same and I only use it for decoration anyway. I would buy bedding from PBKids again. I LOVE the crib sheets (esp the chamois ones) but I also like the cotton and flannel. All of DD's sheets are from PBKids and they have held up wonderfully.

Mobile: Cute and coordinating but discarded early on for the Tiny Love Symphony in Motion...I would skip it.

Mirror for crib: Simple and soft and DD really liked it.

Diaper holder: Still using it and I really like it.

Changing pad covers: The chamois ones rock! I use nothing else...they are so soft.

Lamp: Really like it no problems so far.

Chamois stroller blankets: Again LOVE them...I have three and have used them since she was born. They are so soft and the perfect size.

Wicker laundry basket with liner: Really happy with this...the liner is easy to wash.

Area Rug.....really like it and it has weathered its share of spills!

I have probably given you more than you asked for already :), but I have lots of other stuff from there too. Let me know if you want more info or have any questions.

I think maybe the rating was quality based on price. I think you probably pay a little more for PBKids stuff, but, imo it is worth it.

I only have the sheets and the changing table cover (the chamois ones) from PBK, so I can't speak on the quality of all their stuff, but the stuff I have ROCKS! It washes really really well, and ALWAYS comes out of the dryer feeling brand new. One of the best investments I made with #2.

I am a huge fan of PB Kids - we have a few sheets which wash great and I bought the bumper and quilt from there too. The quilt I use on the wall for decoration and the bumper we only used for a few months. I thought the mobile we got was pretty useless and would have bought a more interesting one for DS if I had gotten around to it. We also have a bookcase and the baskets from there which are wonderful quality and the liners wash well too...

If you have a store near you - alot of their stuff goes on sale if you catch it right. I find the shipping is very expensive - that is a big downfall but I love most of their stuff....

I love my PBK stuff! Although, agreeing with the first response, the mobile is probably not needed. They are pretty basic and you kind find better more interesting ones for your baby. The quality as been great. With as often as I have to wash the sheets for my son, nothing has started to fall apart yet...he's 11 months old. I think it's a good buy if you really like a certain set.

Personally I don't think the quality is befitting of the price. That said, my entire nursery is PBK!!:o I think the chamois is worth it at full price because the softness can't be matched (sheets and changing covers are awesome), but I got a lot of the accessories (valances, rug) on ebay, unused and first quality for a lot less. With the quilt for example(which I bought at the store) I noticed a few flaws here and there which you wouldn't expect for $80. it's not poor quality, just not exceptional for the price. But that is where I found the theme I liked so what can you do. Probably didn't help but just my 2 cents!!

We bought a bunch of seperate pieces for the bedding.
From PBK, we bought the chamois and gingham bumper and the chamois fitted cover. It is soooo soft and a very good quality bedding!

The chamois stuff can't be beat, and even the regular cotton sheets are great. I've been very pleased with everything I've bought from there (and my whole nursery is basically PBK), but I agree -- get the Symphony in Motion mobile, not theirs.

(Although I noticed in their latest catalog, they're selling that one now...)

In case anyone's wondering, their bedding for older kids also holds up well according to my sister.

I have all the Lambie bedding and accessories and LOVE it. I haven't actually used any of it yet though. I think one of the reasons BB gives it a C rating is due to the price. I remember they also gave a Bugaboo a veyry low score, based on the price. For me, it is worth the $ to have the nicer bedding, expecially the CHAMOIS.
