Does anyone know how to check if a daycare has any problems?

I recently moved to NJ and I am looking for day care. I know all the questons to ask but I am unsure how to to check the school history. How do I know whether the school has had problems in the past. Is there a consumer affairs of sorts for pre schools?

Typically the state licenses day cares and preschools, so you should check with the state of NJ. The department is going to vary by state, but I would start with the Dept. of Education or something similar. In my state (MN) the info is available online.
