I am sick (again!), and it sucks. My throat hurts, I lost my voice, and I feel miserable. On top of that, I have a 5 week old and a (nearly) 3 year old.
Any tried and true cold/sore throat remedies you can reccommend?

It was disgusting, but Tylenol Sore Throat (it's a nasty red liquid) worked wonders this fall. It numbs your throat going down, and has tylenol to take the edge of the rest of it. I didn't have a sinus thing at the time, but it was great for a pure (killing me) sore throat.
i always take nyquil, so i can at least sleep at night. though, make sure it's ok if you are breastfeeding. hot tea with honey also seems to soothe my throat. my dh swears by gargling turmeric powder and milk, but i think it is really gross.

Thanks, you guys! Unfortunetly, I can't take either of those medications. Too funny! I called and asked my doc, and he said only Robitussin, which does nothing for me. But, I will be doing tea and honey!

I'm a big baby when it comes to sore throats, and this is what helped me...a teaspoon (or sometimes tablespoon) of honey and lemon. I'd squeeze some lemon on the spoon first, then fill the rest with honey and the sweet/sour combo really helped. Hope you feel better!
