This made sound like a weird question but has anyone made a t-shirt quilt before. I have a ton of t-shirts that are kind of sentimental and would like to do something with them. I do not wear most of them anymore but I do not want to get rid of them. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I haven't made one myself, but I've read about other people making them. One thing to watch out for is that the fabric in t-shirts is more stretchy than normal quilting fabric, so you have to be careful there. Maybe use some sort of stabilizer...I'm not sure.

I haven't made one, but I have plans on doing one. I have saved team shirts and want to combine them onto one quilt.

If you go to google, then click on images and type in t-shirt quilts, there will be quite a few different styles to look at. Some, you can follow the website to the directions on how to make it.

I do know some people that have made them and said it was relatively easy. I sure hope so as I have never even quilted before. :D

I have not made one, but I have made a picture quilt, and most t-shirt quilts I have seen are similar.

I have seen this pattern in my Keepsake Quilting catalogue
http://www.keepsakequilting.com/KQShopping/images/parts/6521.JPG

it is only $9. Here is the link
