I'm off to see it right now! I'm so excited! Sarah Jessica Parker was nominated for a Golden Globe (correct me if I'm wrong) for her role in the movie. Anyone else as excited to see it as I am? Or am I just completely obsessed with SJP and Rachel McAdams???

I really want to see this. I'm huge fan of SJP. Unfortunately DH won't go see it with me :( I'll have to get his cousin to go see it with me.

Aww.. I'd go with you if we were in the same town. I'm actually going by myself. Anything to get me away from the roommate!

I really want to see it but no one has time right now. Let me know if it is any good I might just go by myself.

Me too! I laughed soooo hard and then cried soo hard. It was really good. And I just love Luke Wilson. And Rupert Everett's voice.

I just saw it. I laughed and I cried and thought it was great...

until the ending. I did not like that.

I just saw it...and..wow...what a completely disfunctional family Christmas movie ;)

I was supposed to go see this movie yesterday with 2 friends after our annual Christmas lunch/gift exchange, but the traffic around the mall (where the theater is) was SO horrendous that we couldn't make it to the theater in time to catch the movie! We checked other local theaters but by then we'd missed all of the mid-afternoon shows. Darn, now I don't know when I'll get to see it. My DH does not want to go to this one with me...

Anyway, I'm glad to hear it's a good movie! :)

Well I have to be honest, while it was good, it wasn't really the christmas comedy I was expecting. BF took me to cheer me up after my long day of bad bridesmaid dress shopping, and needless to say I was in a more depressed mood after the movie. So sad :(

This is what I wrote in my blog:

This is a public service announcement: don't go to see The Family Stone expecting it to be a happy, happy, romantic comedy about love and family and Christmas.

It is funny and touching and very good but there is an understory that they never mention in the ads and it hit very close to home for me - it had me crying more than once.

Go see it with your girlfriends and enough tissues for everyone.

-End PSA-

Oh, and Luke Wilson is so cute. Seriously just adorable. That is all.

I laughed, I cried, it was great. I love Rachel McAdams. It had a great cast. Diane Keaton was very good.

I enjoyed it a lot but thought the ending was suspect--too "tidy."

I really enjoyed. Cute and funny (and of course a little sad).
