Hi Ladies,

I've had some trouble finding inspiration for flowers to show my florist. It seems all the posts I've been able to find all involve PINK  flowers!

If anyone has pics of brown and green flower/twig/leaf combos it'd be much apreciated!

Or even some links to sites where I can see the varieties of flowers by colour?

Thanks so much!

Di

Despite it's focused sounding name, http://www.freshroses.com is good to see various flowers.

I have no pictures, but off the top of my head I think of chocolate cosmos (not just a drink LOL), green hydrangea, definitely Bells of Ireland (they are SO cool). Amaranthus (comes in green and magenta-ish)....

Going beyond just bouquets and into centerpieces, you can throw some limes (cut or not) into a vase, and perhaps put flowers on top of that.

I'm really drawing a blank with the brown though...woody stems...cherry blossoms, dogwood branches? willow branches?

Hope that's a *little* help, though I'm a bit spotty on the brown part. But I LOVE the idea. I really wanted brown, green, and pink, but just could NOT get Baskin Robbins out of my head, thinking of the brown and pink...I didn't include brown but still wish I had. :D

I was looking for the same type of website and I cannot find one. I have some green flowers if you want:

Instead of the purple roses you could try some really dark red flowers like in this bouquet:

There are some more green flowers in the bouquet thread. I also looked under the WC flowers board for green flowers and there are a couple threads on there.

Here's an article that lists some brown flowers (http://www.loudzen.com/garden/greenhands/2003/brownflowers.html).
Here's an article on green and brown flowers (http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/galleries/gallerygb.html) (with pics, not bouquets though).

Oh look I did find something with flowers by color (http://www.burlapcreations.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=SSF) (not in bouquets though). Try here (http://www.delawarewildflowers.org/green.html)as well.

How about green florals and a brown ribbon? You could also add chocolate cosmos to it, I think..

Does this one inspire at all?

Maybe you could find artifical flowers to create a small bouquet of the look you want without spending too much money. It would give your florist something to work with if you don't find inspiration here.

Some good ones to use are: green cymbidiums, greenish hydrangea, tuber rose has a greenish tinge, eucalyptus, succulents.

I don't have any pictures with brown in them, but here are some photos I used as inspiration (my colors were light green and burgandy):

Here is what my bouquet looked like. We used green cymbidiums, white dendrobiums, tuber rose, red dahlias:

Also, cymbidiums can come in a brownish color. A couple websites that might help:

http://www.kiwiorchids.co.nz/varieties.htm
http://www.sborchid.com/listdisplay.php?listname=Popular%20Cymbidium%20Var ieties&display=GRID
There is a variety called chocolate cymbidium:

From Bella Signature Floral Design (http://www.bellasignature.com/default.htm), some photos with chocolate cymbidiums in them:

Callas come in lots of colors, I'm not sure if they come in brown shades, though.
