View Full Version : Titanic Special Collector's Edition- Alternate Ending

I just watched the Alternate Ending of the new Titanic Special Edition DVD, and it blew! The acting was terrible. Thank goodness they didn't actually use it as the real ending! Did anyone else see this and think the same? Or did you like it?

Can you tell us/me what the alternate ending is? I'm so curious and don't know when I will see it. Maybe in white text so you have to highlight it to read it?

You can find it if you google it. It's not really an alternate ending per se (I mean, the ship can't make it to NY ya'know?) just adds some closure to the whole diamond search issue (I didn't see it... just reporting what I read).

Sure.. it will be in white

On the ocean dive boat, Brock and Rose's granddaughter catch Rose out on the edge of the boat before she drops the necklace in the ocean. Rose explains to them that she kept it, but never cashed it in because it made her think of Cal and she never needed his money to help her get by. She wanted to make every day count (just like Jack taught her). She let Brock hold it in his hand just for a few seconds before she ended up tossing it overboard. That really funny guy yelled "that really stinks, lady!!!" (hilarious). And the rest is the same.. she does an old woman warm in her bed.

LOL at Tiffany's comment about how the ship can't make it to NY.

The original sounds much better.

In all honestly, I was hoping they would make an alternative ending of how the ship actually made it to NYC. Then we could see what would have happened to Jack, Rose, and Cal.
