Ok, Ladies, I need your help! My DH will eat pork chops every night if I fixed them and never get sick of it. I only have about 3 or 4 good, easy, quick recipes. Please post some for me to try! I feel like I'm going to turn into a pork chop if I don't get something new! TIA!

Ooh. I use a recipe from Cooking Light. I don't have the recipe handy because we just moved but you could search on their site for it. I wanna say it was:

egg
flour
bread crumbs

Then fry in spray Pam.

I also mix it up with grill seasonings and grill them, or make my own herb combos. I like to mix it up as well. I LOVE Pork Chops!

We love these, I tore it out of a magazine awhile back.

Pork Chops Dijon

Ingredients
3 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
2 tablespoons low-calorie Italian salad dressing
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 pork loin chops, cut 1/2-inch thick (1-1/4 pounds total)
Nonstick cooking spray
1 medium onion, halved and sliced

Directions
1. In a small bowl combine mustard, Italian dressing, and pepper; set aside.
2. Trim excess fat from chops. Spray a 10-inch skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and brown on both sides. Remove chops from skillet.
3. Add onion to skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat for 3 minutes. Push onion aside; return chops to skillet. Spread mustard mixture over chops. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 15 minutes or until juices run clear. Serve onion over pork chops. Makes 4 servings.

I make these all the time - so easy:

Pork Chops Martini

Salt and pepper pork chops and brown in a skillet. Transfer to an oven safe dish and pour 1/2 to 1 cup of vermouth over. Sprinkle with dill. Bake at 350 until done (20-30 minutes).

Creamed Pork Chops

4 pork chops
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Lawry's seasoning salt
Pepper

Brown pork chops on both sides in a little butter until very brown. Drain grease but leave brown crust in pan. Pour soup into pan and stir to mix. Put pork chops in baking dish and pour soup over them. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover. Bake at 350 for 1-1 1/2 hours.

This was a recipe I got from an old WC recipe thread years ago. DH loves it.

Beer Soaked Pork Chops

2 pork chops (or however many you want)
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup beer (I usually use Bud Light, Coors Light, or Rolling Rock, but any kind will do)

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, and beer. Divide mixture into 2 ziploc bags and place a pork chop in each bag. Marinate anywhere from 3-24 hours (I usually do this before I leave for work in the morning). Grill or bake. The George Foreman grill is wonderful for this.

A REALLY easy one.

Thick Pork Loin chops ( at least an inch thick, but even thicker is better)
two onions
butter
Lemmon pepper
oil for frying

Slice onions into thin slices and saute slowly until wilted and carmelized.

While onions are sauteeing, rub chops down with lemon pepper and let sit for a few minutes (time it based on how long it takes the onions to wilt).

Remove wilted onions from pan, and kick up the heat. Throw in the pork chops and sear on one side until brown, then turn over and sear quickly on the other side until brown. Turn heat down, put onions back in pan, add a little water, cover and steam until chops are done to your liking.

Pork is not my favorite thing in the world, and I LOVE it cooked like this :)

YUMMY!!!

One of our favorites around here is to take your pork chops and let them marinate in Dale's Seasoning sauce. Then throw them on the grill and let them grill until done - HEAVEN! and oh so easy!

Here is a good one I've made:

Crunchy Parmesan-Mustard Pork Chops

Ingredients

1 cup plain breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon melted butter
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped, fresh parsley
6 boneless pork loin chops, about 4 ounces each
- salt to taste
- freshly ground black pepper

Preparation - Estimated cooking time: 35 minutes -

1 Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2 In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, butter, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese and parsley.

3 Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Spread the remaining mustard on one side of each chop and place the chops (plain side down) on a baking sheet. Divide the breadcrumb mixture among the chops and pat them onto the mustard.

4 Bake the chops until they are fully cooked and the breadcrumbs are nicely browned, about 20 minutes.

Pork Strips with Peanut Sauce and Rice Noodles
From Cooking Light

Rice noodles soak up liquid quickly, so if you're not serving immediately, reserve about 1/4 cup cooked sauce, and add to remaining pork mixture just before serving, tossing gently.

1/2 cup boiling water
1/4 cup reduced-fat peanut butter
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
1 teaspoon bottled ground fresh ginger (such as Spice World)
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon chile paste with garlic (such as Sambal oelek)
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
Cooking spray
4 (4-ounce) boneless loin pork chops, trimmed and cut into 1/2-inch strips
1 red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced (about 2 cups)
1 (6-ounce) package rice noodles
1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
Lime wedges (optional)

Combine first 11 ingredients in a bowl, stirring with a whisk; set aside.
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add pork and pepper; cook 6 minutes or until pork is done. Add peanut butter mixture to pan, stirring well to coat pork; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 1 minute.

Cook rice noodles according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain. Add noodles to the pork mixture, tossing gently. Sprinkle with sliced green onions. Serve with lime wedges, if desired.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 2 cups pork mixture and 2 tablespoons green onions)

I have one: (from Rachael Ray's 30 Min. Meals 2)

Maple Mustard Pork Chops with Grilled Apples

1/2 c dark amber maple syrup
1/4 c spicy brown mustard
1/4 c apple cider
1/4 medium onion finely chopped
1/2 t allspice
1 t ground cumin
8 center-cut boneless pork chops
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, for drizzling
Grill Seasoning (Montreal Seasoning by McCormick) or salt & pepper to taste
3 Golden Delicious apples, sliced across into 1/2 in. rounds, with core and peel intact
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 t ground nutmeg

Preheat grill or nonstick griddle pan over medium-high heat. Preheat oven to 350.

Combine maple syrup, mustard, cider, onion, allspice and cumin in a small saucepan and cook over moderate heat, 7-10 min., until sauce begins to thicken a bit.

Coat chops lightly in oil, season with grill seasoning, and cook on grill pan, 3 min. each side. Baste chops liberally with sauce and cook 2-3 min. more, then transfer to baking sheet. Baste again with sauce and place in oven to finish cooking (10-12 min.)

Coat apple rounds with lemon juice and drizzle of oil. Season with grill seasoning and nutmed. Cover grill pan with as many pieces of apple as possible. (will probably have to do 2 batches). Cook apples 3 min. on each side.

Serve chops with apples alongside.

We made this tonight and it was yummy. We added a side of roasted red potatoes.

I have never made pork chops before, but DH likes them and I am planning on making them this week. Does anyone have a good recipe to share?

San Francisco Pork Chops - My DH loves this recipe, and besides Shake-n-Bake, the only pork chops I know how to make!

The only variations to this recipe that I have is that I pretty much triple everything except the soy sauce and red pepper, and I use 8 boneless pork chops cut into 1" cubes. But then again, when I make this it's usually for more than 4 people. :)

San Francisco Pork Chops

1 tablespoon vegetable or peanut oil
4 pork chops
2 cloves garlic
4 tablespoons dry sherry or beef broth
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
1 box Linguini Noodles

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet. Brown chops on both sides. Add garlic to skillet and stir for one minute. Mix together sesame oil, sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper. Pour over chops. Cover and simmer gently for about 20 minutes, until chops are cooked. Remove chops from the pan. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth. Add to skillet and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Serve pork chops and sauce over cooked noodles.

If you have dijon mustard...mix 2 TBS dijon mustard and a few drops of worcestershire sauce with a little water to thin slightly and coat each chop before dipping in bread crumbs. You can either bake them at 350 degrees until done...or you can fry them. Just use a tiny bit of oil in your pan (they don't need to swim) and brown evenly on both sides.

You can also marinate them in a mixture of soysauce, say 1/4 cup, a bit of grated fresh ginger if you have it and 1 or two garlic cloves crushed (to your taste) for about an hour and either broil them or pan fry them in a bit of oil.
You can use ground ginger, but the taste is not the same. The fresh ginger gives a bit of a kick. I buy a small piece and freeze it until I need to grate a bit for whatever dish I am making.

I just wanted to mention that I read about a brine marinade (of sorts) in NYTimes a few months ago. The article mentioned that most home cooks find pork chops to be kind of hard and the simple secret of restaurants is to soak them in a brine overnight. I tried it several times and it really works. So now I just defrost pork chops in the brine for 24 hr and then apply whatever recipe I want to them. The brine is really simple, it's about 1/2 cup of apple cider for 4-5 cups of water, some salt & pepper.

Forgot to add, the chops have to be completely submerged in liquid and swimming in it (don't pack too tightly).

I will definitely try that brine - thanks for posting!

I love pork loin chops, and I make them on the grill, usually, with a sauce made of mustard and some balsamic vinegar. I will use dijon in its place, or add some worcestershire sauce.

We make pork chops fairly frequently, but our favorite standby recipe involves marinating them in a couple tablespoons of soy sauce mixed with two teaspons of brown sugar, a tablespoon of vegetable oil, and a couple cloves of minced garlic. I leave them in there for an hour or two and then grill. Very tasty and juicy.

We love them just grilled on the gas grill! Pork chops are one of my favorites!

I was going to say the same thing as Aug2002Bride! Grilled with garlic, salt, and pepper..YUM! McCormick has a pork rub that's really good for pork on the grill too.

I love pork chops with a mushroom gravy, served with mashed potatoes...

Brown the chops on both sides them put them in a cake pan.

Slice onions (I like lots- 2 onions for 4 or 5 chops) and saute them in olive oil or butter.

Mix up the gravy:
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
3-4 beef boullion cubes (smashed up, so they dissolve better)
a dash of worschestershire
1/4 red wine
a bit of Browning liquid (the kind you use in gravy)
ground pepper

Pile the onions on the chops and then cover in the gravy. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes...

The gravy is SOOO yummy on smashed, mashed or garlic potatoes.
I usually serve this with corn and green beans- one of our favorites!

Just FYI- all quantities are approximate- I am a dumper!

Thanks, everyone. I'm going to make DH read over this thread and pick which recipe he wants me to try, because they all sound good. Thank you for the brine suggestion, also. I'll definitely do that.

I like pork chops on the grill, or else sometimes we bake them in the oven and sprinkle them with a little onion powder, garlic powder, seasoned salt, pepper, celery seed, and a splash or 2 of lemon juice! YUM!
