I want to send some type of baked goods (cookies, cake, pie, brownies, ect) as a gift. Where is the best place that really has yummy stuff? I'm looking to spend about $40 (or less).
Thanks in advance!
P.S - My friend sent me "Fairytale Brownies" from http://www.brownies.com/ , so I don't want to send something from the same place ;)

Mrs. Fields has some great baskets. I know it isn't baked goods, but Sherri's Berries (www.berries.com) are SOOOOO good and always a huge hit.

They have not just wonderful baked gifts to send (like brownies, coffeecakes, cinnamon rolls, bakehouse breads, panettone...), you can also send artisan cheeses, butters, oils, vinegars, coffees, teas, meats, honeys, pastas...
Zingermans is wonderful.

If you want to send cookies, Snookies are the best!

My company sends a coffee cake from Boston Coffee Cake for Thanksgiving and for your birthday. Given my DH works their too, we get four cakes a year (every year for the past eight years)! I am not really a cake person, but I LOVE their cakes. And they freeze really, really well. My favorite is the traditional walnut cinnamon, but this Thanksgiving we got the chocolate explosion and it was to DIE for :D

They have a ton of different types of cookies and you can choose how many of each kind go in the gift box/tin you are sending.

Sublime stole mine! ;) I guess I'll just second her opinion, then!
I bought my friend some Halloween cookies (I think there was other stuff besides cookies in there, too) from Cheryl & Co. through www.1800flowers.com and she said that they were delicious! :) They make a bunch of different goodies.

I will second the Cheryl & Co recommendation. I usually order through the website (http://www.cherylandco.com/). Every time I ordered from there, the cookies were delivered very quickly and were always wonderful. I especially like the frosting-covered cookies... yum!

ITA with the recommendation of Zingerman's. It is like my favorite place on Earth. Whenever anyone goes to Ann Arbor, they know they have to bring me back some Zingerman's. Their breads are awesome as are their brownies. Some friends sent me a loaf of the chocolate cherry bread for my birthday. It's better than a cake! Their prices are high, no question. But their stuff is amazing and great customer service too.

Several years ago the Food Network did a segment on Eli's Cheesecake. I sent some to DH one year for Valentines when he was in a different state. He said it was very very good.

I was planning to recommend Zingerman's, Boston Coffee Cake AND Cheryl's cookies, and they have all been recommended already. You can't go wrong with any of the three!
