Did anyone else hear this - on the radio this morning - they said that David cheated on her with a stripper and the stripper passed a lie detector test and had pictures. They said the story would be in the National Enquirer. I've looked online and can't find the story anywhere. I am shocked! They also said this wasn't the first or the last time he cheated.

David Arquette has been caught in the middle of a sex scandal after a romp with a stripper in 1997 has come back to haunt him in the pages of a US tabloid.

Erika Keith has taken her story and photobooth pictures to US publication National Enquirer, claiming she enjoyed a night of passion with the oddball actor - a year after he started dating Courteney Cox, his current wife.

The tabloid claims Keith's story stands up because the 32-year-old, now a masseuse, passed a lie detector test.

The former stripper claims she was attracted to Arquette as she performed all-nude lap dances for him at an Atlanta, Georgia, club, and slipped him her phone number, asking the actor to call her the next day - which he did.

Keith alleges the Scream star met up with her and some friends at a bar the following evening for a night of drinking and sex, and she was impressed with his bedroom skills, considering how drunk the actor was when she took him back to her apartment.

She says: "We had sex on the floor once, maybe twice. He was a good lover, but it was drunken sex so it was aggressive."

Keith's claims have been corroborated by a friend, who sat in the former stripper's lounge while Arquette had sex with her pal.

The tell-all article also features revealing pictures of a giggling Arquette kissing Keith's ample breasts, which were said to have been taken just before the odd couple went back to the apartment for sex.

A spokeswoman for Arquette says: "We don't really comment about those types of things."

I heard about the stripper story this weekend but that was back in 1997. I heard nothing about them breaking up. I seriously doubt they'd break up over that.

That is weird...the date on that story is September but the radio station was just reporting on it now????

The only sites that had the "news" up were non-US entertainment sources or message boards.

If it were true that the stripper was in negotiaions months ago to sell her story to the Enquirer, wouldn't the US gossip rags have picked up on this by now? And has the Enquirer actually run anything? I think if they had, people would have been talking about it.

I have serious doubts about the story, and even if he did fool around with the stripper, so what, it's really old news.

I don't believe that they are splitting up over something that happened in '97. We are not sure of the circumstances of the relationship at the time. Maybe they were on a break. (Sorry for the Friends reference had to do it)

After everything they've been through over the last five years, I would think that they'd be able to work through an incident that happened eight years ago. I certainly hope that they're not splitting up.

This is one couple that I honestly believe would not fall victim to the Hollywood hype and crap that usually accompanies a marriage. They have taken huge amounts of effort to keep their personal life just that, personal. And no way do I believe that they would be splitting up over something that happened in 1997 anyway. Just a case of the tabloids creating smoke where there's no damn fire. :mad:

I am kind of p*ssed about this - the way the newscaster made it sound was that it just happened and was just coming out. I am glad that it isn't true but they shouldn't report items that are years old like that.
