I'm wondering if there are any other cyclists on the board. I ride mountain, road, and cyclocross, and would love some additional inspiration!! :)

My DH and I are big into mountain biking. DH also has a cyclocross and now wants a road bike! I personally love the trails but hate riding on the road with traffic!

Excellent!

We're on the west coast - where are you?

We were in the NW. Boy, I sure miss the mountains! Although Mt biking was MUCH more difficult. One mile uphill, then one mile straight down! It was cool, though. Lots more people into mt biking than here in the Midwest. There was even an all womans mountain biking weekend that takes place every year in Idaho. It was great!

Actually, the mt. biking in the midwest isn't too bad. The trails are quite technical (lots of small hills and quick turns) and almost all are single track.

Very cool, Jen! Are you doing 24 hours of Moab?

What are you riding there - a Specialized?

I love to bike as well.

Although I don't think I am as advanced as many of you!! I just mainly ride for fun/exercise in the summers. We have a nice trail by my home that we use.

Thought this thread needed a little bump!

Dh and I bought a spinning bike for christmas (a Lemond RevMaster). OMG am I out of shape!!! Hopefully this bike will get us into shape so that we can take full advantage of our bikes this year... I have a Klein hardtail and DH has a Gunnar Rockhound (with a rigid fork  )

Wow, that trip along the Oregon coast sounds awesome! And I've heard about the 24 hour races and they sound like so much fun. Hopefully the spinning bike with make some of this possible for DH and me this summer!

What up ladies!?!?!

Chortles, I am riding the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo in Tucson. I am not crazy enough to ride Moab...YET! That race is insane! We ride 24 hours of Adrenaline too, well some of the races.

I am sporting a Santa Cruz Superlight these days, YOU??

Anyone get any good riding in over the holidays?

I have an Ellsworth Truth, a steelman cyclocross bike, and a Voodoo Hoodoo (hardtail). Love them all :D :D :D although I'm sure they're pissed as hell at me since it has been FOREVAH since I've ridden them. Sigh.

I've ridden Moab, and you're right - that race is insane. The Granny Gear races in general are =way= tougher than the 24hrs of Adrenalin ones.

Ooh - I'm so glad I found this thread!

Me and FH road bike quite a bit, and we love it. Starting in the spring, we usually ride about 40 miles a week, and then we usually do about five 28- to 52-mile rides for good causes. Our goal is to complete a 100-mile ride sometime this summer.

FH competes in at least one tri every year, but those really aren't my forte. I do have a goal to do one this year ... we shall see. ;)

BUMPING - Just completed my third 24 hour race and looking to do another 12 hour this season. I am writing my race recap in my journal, I am about half way there.
