I thought the Dirty Dancing routine was great too. It made me wanna watch the movie. :D

I just love Drew's partner. What is her name? I need to find it out because I keep talking about her and I hate that I keep saying Drew's partner. That girl is fierce!! I think she's the best dancer on the show! Maybe it's her sassy outfits, but I've followed ballroom dancing since I was a little girl in dancing school, and she is top notch.

oh, i didn't realize he was a part of that band too. see i can see why stacy and drew are doing so well. part of stacy's job involved a lot of "choreography" and i am sure that 98 degrees did some dance moves on stage. though, i guess most performers have had some experience with dancing as part of their work.

I'm hoping for a Drew-Stacy final! I thought Drew did a really good job in the tango. It's really impressive to see him dance, especially since it's harder for guys to learn how to lead.

Stacy's jive was really good too. If she was dancing in ballroom competitions I think she would do pretty well, though probably better in Latin than standard or smooth.

I LOVED the Dirty Dancing routine! (DH and I are corny too.) :D

It's obvious the judges want Jerry to go tonight, but I'd like to see Lisa go. She's annoying to watch and I don't think I can look at those lips anymore. Also, the skin on her stomach/ribs looks really bad. She must spend a lot of time in the sun.

Yeah, what's up with Lisa's skin on her ribs? I noticed that last night? I looks kinda rubbery? In general, she has a nice body, but her skin leaves a lot to be desired. Plus her lips look like they hurt. Yikes!!

I think that Jerry tries really hard and I love him. Though he may be weaker than the other 3 stars, I think Len was a bit harsh. He didn't have to be so rude. He must of thought he was talking to Master P or something.

I just love Cheryl and Drew. I think Stacey is a good dancer, but sometimes her height makes a couple of her moves look a bit awkward. It's tough to choose between the two of them though. They both look great out there on that dance floor.

ETA: I want Jerry to stay too!! He's come a long way being that he has the sports background. He's pretty cute too. I need the eye candy to stick around another week. :D

actually, i thought lisa's performance was quite impressive last night. i was surprised to see stacy look somewhat off key last night. being a tall girl i don't want to admit it, but i agree with Adaya that her height might be what makes some of her moves look a little funny at times. though, i think stacy has inspired me to really work out more so i can go back to having a hot bod like her.

my guess is drew will win bc i think he is a very good dancer, and i also think he has a strong fan base of teeny boppers.

also, i think i am weird, but i was thinking that nick lachey and stacy should go out. despite her wwe background, she seems like a really sweet and genuine person. also, she is so gorgeous.

I thought Lisa's second dance was really good. I hated her outfit though. That long white piece of material looked like an white elephant trunk. Her first dance was just okay. I don't know why, but it just seemed kinda blah. I know it was the rumba, but it didn't do anything for me.

Ya know, Nick and Stacey would be kinda cute together. But his supposed wandering eye might get his ass slammed if he got caught. Hee Hee :D

Ha! the first thing my Dh said when he saw her last night on TV was, "what is wrong with his lips"?

I do watch Dancing With The Stars, but haven't posted here...but wanted to ask this...

When the camera would focus on the couples after they danced, or on the judged, did anyone see a former WC gal and her husband in the background? When I first saw her, I recognized her, but wasn't sure where I knew her from, then I remembered seeing her pics on the WC. Here user name was pixxigrl. Here is a thread from WC with her pic

I wish Stacy would have gone. She annoys me so much! I love to root for the underdog and love Jerry but unlike most people on this board I really liked Lisa too. She really loved just doing it and she really did improve so much throughout the competition. I loved what she said at the end about Louis and how he teared up. I don't think Stacy even has that much of a shred of emotion in one leg....she's so stiff and unlikable to me.

I was absolutely shocked that Jerry made it to the final three. I thought it would be Lisa, Stacy and Drew. That being said, I'm glad that it was Lisa. Her lips truly are annoying and her partner was a bit too flamboyant to me.

i was surprised to see lisa go. she is a much better dancer than jerry. i felt badly for her bc she seemed to have so much heart in it.

i think i am rooting for drew now. his wife seems so sweet, and she seems to really want to see him win.

I think Jerry put a bunch of hard work and heart into getting better and he dances his butt off every week.

I was shocked as well but happy for Jerry because he has improved a lot and worked very hard. When it gets this far intot the game, it's always hard to see someone go home because everyone at this point is usually working hard and has given it their all.

I really like Jerry and I think he deserves to be there just as much as anybody else. Is he a top dancer in this competition? Heck no? But if ABC wanted the couple to win that danced the absolute best they would to leave part of the voting up to the public.

Lisa is a good dancer and I was sorry to see her go, but hey, it had to be somebody. She'll get over it, just like the other 2 who will eventually lose. After all, the only thing they win is some stupid trophy with beat-up looking bronzed boots and bragging rights. :D

I'm so glad Jerry made it to the final 3. Sure, the judges will make sure he's not in the final two, but I don't have to look at Lisa's lips anymore or listen to her constant crying. Now she has time to visit a dermatologist to see if any of her skin can be salvaged.

I was sorry to see Lisa go before Jerry (obviously he has a MUCH larger fan-base that is voting for him!). I know Lisa's lips are annoying, but I used to watch Days of Our Lives when she was on the show so I sort of had a soft spot for her & was pulling for her to do well on this show. I was glad to see her really improve throughout the course of the competition, & I agree with what miaclear said about her having so much heart & determination & that she clearly loved dancing & really wanted to compete another week.

Jerry has really improved too - but personally I just don't think he's on the same level as Drew & Stacy so I would have been happier seeing Lisa make it to the finals instead of Jerry. But hey...they include fan voting in this show for a reason, so popularity is definitely going to play a part in how things shake out - regardless of each person's dancing abilities. ;)

I like Stacy & am impressed by how great she looks out there on the dance floor, but I think I'm rooting for Drew at this point. :)

ITA with Adaya's sentiments. Jerry isn't the top dancer, and actually Lisa was a better dancer overall, but the fanbsaes do make a differnce in the outcomes, and Jerry is such a sweetie it's really easy to see why he gets such a large fan base vote.

What a performance by Drew and Cheryl!! Their freestyle was awesome!! I was blown away. They deserved a total of 30 for that performance as well as their paso doble. They kicked butt tonight!

Jerry did well tonight. I thought his first dance was very very elegant. His posture was great and his footwork was very clean. I loved it. I loved his fun freestyle dance. Anna was a bit more loose too. I got to see a different side to her with that afro wig on. It was cute. Those lifts were excellent and Jerry actually moved his feet pretty fast. I was impressed.

Stacey did her jive very well....got her a 30. But what the heck happened on her freestyle? It looks like she was tired and ready to go to sleep. It was a nice and easy dance. I thought she was gonna "bring it." My mom and I were on the phone watching it together "shushing" each other getting ready because we just knew she and her dance partner were gonna go all out with some fast, fancy footwork with some high kicks and sassy hips. NOT!! I was so disappointed.

Can't wait until Sunday.

DH and I were saying that she's done outstanding with every other dance that you would've thought this dance would've been outstanding as well, and it totally stunk! Not that it stunk, but compared to what we know she can do...it stunk!

Jerry did really well tonight as well. I am glad he had one more chance!

I think Cheryl and Drew are going to take this thing.

I'm so distressed! I started calling Drew & Cheryl's number once their first dance was done and kept calling (from home & cell simultaneously) until voting closed for my time zone...AND I NEVER GOT THROUGH!!!

All I could do was get online and vote. I don't like that you had to register on the site, which is why I never voted online before, but this was too important!!! I adore Drew & Cheryl!

i agree that it was slow too, though, i think that is how it was done in the movie.

i kind of blame stacy's disappointing freestyle to her partner. isn't it his responsiblity to come up with good cheorography for the dance?

my mouth was gaping with amazement when i saw drew's freestyle. wow!! i wish they would do an encore performance of it. i also think it was a smart move on their part to include country music bc i think it will bring in another fan base for voting.

It's definitely Drew and Cheryl all the way. I was so dissappointed by Stacey's freestyle. I guess they decided to go the safe and easy route so as not to chance any mistakes but that turned out to be a big mistake on their part. Their freestyle scored lower than Jerry! By one point but still.

Drew was HOT! last night. I was very proud of them.

I heard on Entertainment Tonight yesterday that Stacy rolled her ankle in practice. I wonder if that might be why their freestyle was lacking. I liked it in the beginning, but in the middle it lost its spark and wasn't nearly the caliber I expected from Stacy and Tony.

Count me in -- I agree with everyone. I have been unable to decide who I liked better, Stacy or Drew -- but she was just dull last night in the freestyle. And their final lift looked very awkward in process.

Drew & Cheryl -- that was the greatest dance! I mean, it was freestyle and they looked like they were goofing around but they did some great tricks and looked technically very good all at the same time! Awesome -- I so hope they win now. I want to see it again, too :)

Jerry & Anna just cracked me up with their freestyle. I like his facial expressions, but he doesn't dance all that well to me -- he's so stiff still and just keeps waiting for her to dance around him. It's like he's not even involved in the dance sometimes... but the afro thing, I've got to hand it to him. That was golden.

One thing I really liked about Drew & Cheryl's freestyle was they seemed to incorporate moves from various dances Drew has learned. It really showed off the technical skills he has gained, as well as his personality and ability to connect with the music and mood of the dance.

I agree - I LOVED watching their freestyle! I was disappointed, along with everyone else, in Stacy and Tony's freestyle. Jerry and Anna's was fun to watch, and funny and entertaining! I loved it, but it wasn't nearly the dance that Drew and Cheryl's was (plus, you've gotta love the song)!

Jerry is my personal favorite, but I think Drew and Cheryl deserve to win, and I hope they do! I voted for them yesterday. Still very proud of Jerry, though, and have loved watching Stacy this season. All in all, I was really pleased with the final three (though a bit annoyed that I spent 15 minutes watching a two-hour show)!

I think you're right, Katy, they must have edited it out for the west coast airing of the show. When I read what KaliLily said his response was to the Brokeback Mountain comment I was like :confused: ??? That's not what I saw - like you said, it was just sputtering & laughing. I don't care for Jessica and I do think her big ego & fame contributed to the demise of her marriage, but I really think she was a lot more down to earth before Newlyweds. I think she just changed.

Probably not, but kids these days are frighteningly knowledgable about more adult things than in my day! I have to say from an adult perspective, it was freakin' helarious! I laughed so hard I scared my cats! :eek:

Overall, the show was really entertaining last night. The judges commentary and Drew's reaction to nailing the performances and getting perfect scores made for great TV. I like these judges better than any other reality show judging panel.

I just watched Extra, and they talked about how Stacey really hurt herself and she mentioned it also. She was limping really badly too. She kinda hinted at that being her reason for going with that type of freestyle dance.

That's too bad. Well, now I guess I'll let her off the hook. I think the dance was nice, and they did a good job. My problem with it was that it was too slow and not spicy like she normally does. But now it makes sense.

If you want to see Drew's reaction to the "Brokeback" comment, watch the first 5 minutes of Entertainment Tonight on CBS. They air the "lost scene" and explain that the show was edited after the East Coast airing to remove it, calling it controversial.

DH and I were discussing the Brokeback Mountain comment last night. We were curious as to why it was even aired on this coast. I said that it was live, and DH said he thought it was on a long enough delay that they could've taken it out. I think it was funny, but I can also see it being very controversial.

Okay, well, my question is, if Stacy hurt herself, how did she perform the first dance so well? It was her strongest dance and if she was able to dance it and get another perfect score, they could have choreographed a freestyle that was as equally as difficult and entertaining. It's not like she can say that she hurt herself during that first dance and they just had that crappy freestyle on standby.

I'm not buying the injured thing. I love Stacy and was rooting for her from the beginning. I think people were disappointed in her freestyle and she's trying to make excuses. I'm hoping Drew wins now.

Since they were anouncing who was third, they couldn't announce Jerry first. However, given how easy it was to figure out who won once you knew who was third, you'd think they would have saved all announcements til the end.

And the last hour was a HUGE snore. Were they trying to break the World Record for number of recaps in a results show? It would have been better if there had been more "entertainment," like a couple group dance numbers with the professionals.

It's completely annoying how they've taken 2 minutes worth of results and turned them into an extra Friday results show and a 2 hour finale. That's the only thing I've really hated about this season, other than Master P being kept on so long.

The whole finale sucked. 2 hours for nothing. They could have made the show an hour and it still would have been too long.

Glad Drew and Cheryl won!! They deserved it.

I'm also really proud of Jerry. Though he was not the best dancer, he really enjoyed himself and tried very hard. He also had a great attitude. That can be said for Stacey too. She and her partner had great chemistry. Too bad she got hurt towards the end. How about her boyfriend? He's a cutie patootie!!

All thought all three had really good attitudes and all seemed quite humble. I think, like Adaya said, that Jerry really put his all into it (yes, I think they all did), and showed some awesome improvement. I like that he got rewarded for that. It'll be interesting to me to see if Stacy goes anywhere with this. Especially since they mentioned that coreographers would be contacting her. I also agree with the PPs that this was just TOO DARN LONG!!

Oh and I think the reason that Drew & Cheryll didn't get a 30 was because that would have given them four 30's in a row (I think) and they just, as a show, didn't want to go there. To an extent, I think they rigged that score.

Boy, they REALLY dragged those last two shows out something fierce. I mean I LOVE watching the dance, but I didn't need to see every dance over and over and over. The last two shows were just too long in general.

For this whle second series it has been a tough call for me between Drew and Stacy. Both are exceptionally talented dancers. I must admit over the past two weeks I have been leaning towards Drew, only becase prior to this, he had had no professional dance training, whereas Stacy studied ballet, tap and jazz, which I felt put her at an unfair advantage. However, my final word is that both Drew and Stacy, even at this point, are good enough to actually go compete in REAL Ballroom competition.

I have to make some comments on the jealousy, Drew's wife/Cheryl thing. I used to do competitive dance, and even though it looks like something very romantic, it isn't. It's a sport, and the dancers are far too focused on steps, technique and the act/show they are presenting to even briefly entertain romantic feelings. When they do well, and hug, it's no different than a football team who has just had a big win, jumping, hugging,slapping each other on the back etc. It's a joy in the combined effort that created the win, nothing more. It was clear to me by all the pan away shots to Drew's wife, that she totally got that, and was very proud of the "team", that her husband was a part of.

I am also really glad Jerry made it to the finals. What a genuinely warm, sweet guy (and a nice piece of eye candy as well), and he worked harder than anyone, with absolute dedication. His last foxtrot, was really lovely, and showed a level of improvemnt that was astounding from where he had been the week before. I am so glad the judges gave him up beat comments, he so deserved them. What a flashback on those freestyle wigs though, I kept cracking up at them, such a throwback to my High School days.

I really do love this show. Hope they continue to fine tune the format a little, but can't wait for the next season.

I think it was Best Week Ever that made fun of this show saying the finale was going to be 4 hours. This is a show that certainly knows how to "fill" time. I'm so glad we Tivo'd it and could skip through the endless recaps.

Yeah for Jerry and Drew for being the final two. Both of them deserved to be there. Drew's dance was worth a 30 last night, but like a PP said, it was rigged. I'm so happy for both of them and I hope Jerry keeps with it.

I'm so glad that she was eliminated early in the season, because she just got under my skin for some reason! :D

Thank goodness I only watched the last 30 minutes or so of the show. I kinda figured the producers would fill the 2 hours with garbage. I turned it on right as they were annoucing Stacey as coming in 3rd. Which to me was the wrong thing to do in annoucing it so early because then it was a no brainer that Drew and Cheryl won. A little anticlimatic for me. . . but I was still cheesing and so freaking happy for them! :D

Yeah, I also agree with Katy that the judges scores for Drew and Cheryl were rigged. I think they danced just as well (if not better) than Stacy and her partner.

I am wondering if they already knew that the viewers had picked drew and cheryl, therefore, they wanted to give them a lower score to add to the drama of it all? I guess we'll never know.

And just to chime in on the whole drew's wife thing. If it were me, I would have been insecure as hell watching my husband with a tiny little thing like Cheryl. It wouldn't have been at all about suspecting anything going on between them, it would have been straight up jealousy :D

I think Cheryl had a little crush on Drew. From the scenes, it looked like the wife might have been at a few of the practices. Maybe that's why.

That is what I was thinking, maybe they wanted to make it closer. Anyways, I am so excited for Drew! I loved him from the beginning and I am so happy that he won, he totally deserved it!
