What have you heard about it? The previews look so funny, but I'm scared that the funny parts have all been shown. KWIM? Anybody see this movie last night or plan to see it this weekend?

I saw it last night & it was hilarious!!! Trust me, not all the funny parts have been given away in the trailers. ;)
I actually wanted to go see it again this morning while DH was changing his brakes, but I overslept & he's almost done now.

Wow! Thanks Sophia! You have given me the motivation to drag DH to it tonight! :D

Oh, I have been wondering how this was. I loved the show and some parts of the trailer looked funny but I haven't heard of any real reviews. Thanks!!

I wasn't sure about this movie, but I read a good review in our local paper. So, I might have to drag DH to it. If we can make it out of the house in time for a matinee...
Note: It is directed by Nora Ephron (woman who wrote When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail), and I believe Bewitched was written by her sister.

Oh umwhee! Thanks for the info. My all time favorite movie is When Harry Met Sally. Now I'll definately have to check it out! :)

I'm still a little iffy on Bewitched... we'll probably go see it, but I dunno... I've got other movies on my list that I want to see more...

I've been wanting to see it (love Nicole Kidman in everything she's done!) but saw a crappy review on it so I put it off. It's sooooo nice to see that *real* people like it. I'll definately be going to see it tomorrow!

DH and I just got back from seeing it. I enjoyed it. I thought it was very cute. Some good zingers about Hollywood and our modern society. Nicole Kidman was great and Will Ferrell was hilarious.

DH and I saw it this weekend. It is a cute movie and definitely worth going to.
For those of you that have seen it (no spoilers...don't worry) -
I am a huge Nora Ephron fan and You've Got Mail is one of my all-time favorite movies. I could not get over the resemblance between these two movies. Nicole Kidman's character had the exact mannerisms and voice of Kathleen Kelly! I kept imagining Meg Ryan the entire time. Nina was also in YGM (Christina) playing such a similar type character. The music was very close, down to the grocery shopping scene. Any one else notice this? The movie was cute and well done, but I could not stop thinking about this. Then again, I've watched YGM more times than I can count, so I practically have it memorized. :o

I went to see this also this weekend. I personally loved it. Nichole Kidman was so cute. The ads are funny, but they really don't tell you much about what the movie is really about, which was a pleasant surprise. I would definately go see it.

I'm not a big Nicole Kidman fan...but with Will Ferrell in it, it's sure to be funny! I'll probably see it if it comes to the theater here in town.

I'm a huge Nora Ephron fan, too, but I didn't think Nicole Kidman was "doing" Meg Ryan.

I guess I should clarify - I didn't think she was trying to "imitate" Meg Ryan. I just thought the characters were very similar personalities with similar quirks. I love Nicole Kidman so it wasn't meant as a bash on her at all and I thought she did a fantastic job. Anyway, it probably is that I've just seen YGM one too many times! :o

I think Nicole Kidman is the perfect for that role, I can't wait to see it!

I just saw it last night. There were some really funny moments, but overall I didn't think it was a very good movie. I *did* love all of Nicole Kidman's outfits though.... those poofy, pretty skirts were fantastic. And I also enjoyed that the whole thing was shot on the lot where I work... so it was like taking a tour of my office. The gate where they drive into their lot is where I drive into my office every day. :) Saw them shooting this on and off for several months, actually.

I'm going to go see it tomorrow (Thursday) since I'll be out of town, taking DH his gaming cards he left here.

I loved them, too! I have a "skirt" like the one she wore in her date in the closet. It's from the 50's and was my mom's and is actually a crenoline! :p
I liked it and I think it was worth the $2.25 I paid. It wasn't the best...but it had Will Ferrell in it and once again, there he was, getting naked! :p

I saw this movie last weekend and it was very cute! My expectations were not that high for the movie, but it made me laugh and I really enjoyed it. :)

I just saw Bewitched today, & I thought it was cute & funny! A very enjoyable little movie...even if it was fairly predictable. ;) Nicole Kidman & Will Farrell were both great. :D

Hey Sazoo! - I just saw it today too! My parents and DH took me to it for my birthday :) I thought it was very cute! I agree with all of you about NK's outfits! I want to say that I have those baby blue capris she was wearing in one scene early in the movie! (ok, just had to get that out since my parents and my DH made fun of me for pointing that out during the movie) I thought that there were a lot of 'laughs' in the movie and it was worth the matinee price (as someone else said earlier.)
Oh! and Rosebud! How cool is it that you work on that lot?! Neat-o!!

We just saw it this weekend. I thought it was so cute! I don't get what all the pans were about in the press over the movie.
Both DH and I liked Bewitched -- it was very cute.
The only thing that bothered me was seeing Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman kiss. It just rubbed me the wrong way. I just kept thinking "Eeeew!" like I was a 9-year-old or somethingl.

I thought the movie was cute. I thought the premise was better than trying to remake the show, doing a film on a remake of the show was a clever concept. I loved Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine!! What perfect casting!! When Steve Carrell first showed up as Uncle Arthur, I thought he was doing a great job of impersonating Paul Lynde, but then he just started to get on my nerves the longer it went on. I thought Nicole Kidman was underused. I love her, and I think she was gorgeous, but I didn't like her in this role. I didn't buy her character at all.
We were really excited, though, to see a chum of my husband's up on the screen!! Bizarre!! I had to come home and look him up on imdb. I was even MORE excited to realize that he had guested on an episode of Friends as one of the firefighters that came to put the fire out on Valentine's Day when Rachel, Phoebe and Monica were doing the cleansing ritual!! Who knew!?!? From the looks of it, he's been able to support himself with the acting thing, so BRAVO to Jason George!!
All in all, I'd say this was a rental/matinee. Cute, but not a must-see.

camberne, actually, he was the fireman who came up to Phoebe's apartment with her smoke alarm after she disconnected it and threw it in the trash shoot in The One Where They're Up All Night.
Anyway, still haven't seen Bewitched but we may get to it pretty soon... maybe Monday.
