Looking for some great childrens book recommendations!

My MIL passed away a year ago and SIL and I are both due w/ our first kids a month apart at the end of this year. She and DH are obviously torn up about their mom not being here to welcome her first grandchildren into the world so I'm looking to do something extra special for them. SIL is a teacher and loves books and is always reading to her class. So, I'm looking for a book (maybe about guardian angels) that she can read to her own child when he/she arrives. This might sound far-fetched, but has anyone ever had a childrens book made? I also thought about giving her a picture book all about her mom, that she could read to her baby when he/she arrives. I think DH would like that too. Does this sound crazy?

Well, it's not really a children's book, but since you were thinking about making a picture book about your MIL, you could make it yourself on mypublisher.com (http://www.mypublisher.com)

You can put as many pictures as you want in the book, add your own text, and have it bound in a hard cover. It is pretty reasonably priced as well (about $1.49/page).

That's a very sweet idea! Good luck!
