the babies need warm feet now that it's cold outside. socks just aren't cutting it. i like the robeez and bobux shoes okay (the plain ones), but man are they spendy! also like the baby uggs and minnetonkas (seem super warm). also $$$$! how about some suggestions for a twinmama (read: need to buy 2 pairs--one for a boy, one for a girl)? i'm thinking in the $15 range. is it possible to find cute baby shoes in that range?

tia!

Target has shoes like Robeez for ~12.99, but they only have a few designs to pick from. I personaly like them and they come in handy.

jeggink took my suggestion. I bought the Target ones and love them. DD's toddling around like a champ even outdoors.

If it's not warm enough for your area, (i live in NJ), I put tights and then a pair of socks. That seems to keep her warm enough.

I am looking for other things when snow starts fallling.

I bought Joey several pairs from this seller on eBay -- he's wearing some right now. :)

The seller's name is shoeszoo.

Payless did Robeez knockoffs, too. And it's a particularly great deal for twinmamas when they have their buy one get one half price promotion running....

And there's eBay, though it's tough to find two sets of things there sometimes.

I second ebay! if you have a boy and a girl you wouldn't have to worry too much if they were the same.

Does anyone know where I can find good robeez knock offs, I'm more interested in the hold up and whether or not they're good for DD's feet than I am about the designs

Target sells Robeez knock-offs. They are in the baby section next to the socks, not in the shoe department. My DD had 2 pairs before she started walking for the winter time and they were great. Washed them a couple of times and they stay on her feet just like the Robeez. Also easy on and off.

I know that there are some knock -offs sold on ebay as well, but I have never tried them.

I'm surprised BooeyJ2 hasn't posted in here yet! She's got great links for Robeez knock-offs. I have 1 link I got from her...

The brand Carter's has robeez knock-offs. I picked up a pair on clearance the other day at Kohl's for $4! :)

I've bought some from 3 different sellers on ebay and have been happy with all of those shoes. I've also bought a pair at Target and a pair of the Carters brand. Happy with those, too.

I saw Robeez knocks offs at the Disney Store today! Didn't buy any, although I wanted to.

www.cutebabyshoes.com has some. I look in the seconds section, they've never had anything wrong with them that I could find.

LOL. Yep, here are the other 2.....

I've bought from all 3 places and they were all great :) All were easily thrown in the washing machine to clean, comfy, cute and best of all CHEAP!

DD had Robeez (gift) as well and these were all comparable, just half the price :)

I bought two from Target for DS #2 and I like them. I think they are holding up pretty well. I bought three pairs of Robeez for DS #1 and we didn't use those much so I couldn't justify spending the money on real Robeez again.

A note on the cutebabyshoes.com ones... They are indeed adorable, but just know that the sizes run HUGE!

Yes, cutebabyshoes.com - I bought a pair of 6-12 months and at almost 10 months, they are still way too big for DD.

Yes, the best shoes for pre-walkers is the soft sole, light weight shoes (although the best thing is to let them go bare foot ;) ) not judging here, as my DS has a ton of shoes already!

Oh I definitely know that! :) We go to an indoor playground a lot, and I hate for Zach to be barefoot. He is just starting to take real steps, so I need *something* to go on his feet. ;)

Ahh, love this thread. I just ordered some seconds from Cute Baby Shoes -- thanks for the tip that they run big! I had already bought some 12-18 mos shoes have are still too big for her to wear

I have the knock-offs from the Disney Store, and so far they have held up at least as well as the Robeez (if not better.)

In my (limited) experience the real deal shoes have held up better than the knockoffs. My favorites are Bobux (bobuxusa.com)

Walmart also sells Robeez style shoes by baby george for 10$ and they really are cute.

I am looking for soft soled shoes for DS. I do not like the shoes that have animals on them which knocks out Robeez and Target's shoes. Also, I really cannot bring myself to pay close to $30 for a pair of baby shoes unless someone can help me justify it. Is there another brand/store that has reasonably priced, soft soled shoes? I really like the look of ShooShoos (http://www.shooshoosusa.com/) and they are a bit more reasonable but was looking for something even cheaper. Target's shoes are perfectly priced...I just don't like the way they look.

One of my all-time favorite eBay sellers:

http://stores.ebay.com/Shoes-Zoo_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm

Joey probably had about 6 pairs from her, she's in Canada so it will take just a wee bit longer to get to you but really it's pretty fast, considering.

There's so much to choose from - animals, sure, but check out the pirates!

http://i17.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/a1/f2/850b_1_b.JPG

she also has solid colors:

and 'sandals':

Bobux http://www.bobuxusa.com come in plain or with decors other than animals.

There is also http://www.isabooties.com they are made from fabric.

But ebay might be your best bet for cheaper prices. They just don't seem to provide any info on the safety of their product (dyes and such).

We've gotten cheaper, Robeez knock-offs at both Babies R Us and BJ's! The Babies R Us ones are red, white and blue and the BJ's ones have a a baseball mitt and a bat on them. Very cute, IMO, and MUCH cheaper than Robeez. :)

Some of the styles at joshoes.com aren't as expensive as Robeez/etc. I haven't ordered from them, though, so I can't speak to personal experience with them.

Just chiming in to second Marisa's suggestion. DS has the pirate shoes as well as two other pairs from that ebay seller. They are very well-made and he gets compliments on them all the time. You can't beat the price either!

Check out these shoes from Ebay. I've bought from this seller before and love their shoes. I have not tried these robeez knockoffs yet, but I will once my daughter can fit the next size (she's currently inbetwen sizes).

ETA - the shoes on that "shoo-shoos" website you posted are really cute...I added that page to my favorites.
