I debated putting this is the holiday thread, but it's really more of a craft specific question....

Where do I find an ironing mat? My mom is into quilting and asked for a mini iron that I got at Joanne's, but she also wants a 12" by 12" ironing board/mat. She described it as a padded board, kind of like an ironing board. I'm not sure exactly what it is I'm looking for. Couldn't find one on Joanne - at least not that size. Any ideas? (esp online - I'm trying to avoid the stores this year!)

TIA!

This is more of a ironing blanket - but you can put it on a table or such to make it hard?? It's 25.5 x 38.5 HTH!

Ironing Blanket - $9.99 (http://www.collectionsetc.com/Item21013.aspx)

Good Luck!

I found this on JoAnns site Smiley - it doesnt really look like an ironing 'board' so that might have thrown you off - even if you saw it. :)

I have an ironing mat. One side is fabric for placing and positioning your quilting pieces, the other that silvery ironing board material. It is folded up with the black fabric side showing. It is stiff enough that you can place it on something soft and still be able to iron. Unfolded-the ironing surface is roughly 12"x24".

I love mine. I use it all the time in my craft room.

I got it at JoAnn's or Michaels...sorry I can't remember which. I can't find it on their websites either.

Here's something similiar:

Thanks you guys! I think that is what she wants, but she does want a 12" X 12" one, if that even exists. She already has a bigger one, but I've never seen it. At least now I have more of an idea what I am looking for - thanks!
