Who we are:
We are a group of women who for 1 reason or another want to shed a few (or more) lbs. We need the encouragement of others no matter their size or goal and we thrive in an atmosphere where we can all support one another.
Your threadmistresses for this thread are ellidew AND Mom2Cole! Feel free to Email Us! (wl.challenge@gmail.com)
Want to join the fun?!?
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter what diet you are on (if any) or how many miles a week you run (if any) we will all find lots of help and support here.
Feel free to join at any time during the challenge.
It’s better to join NOW than to wait until we start a new challenge! ;)
You don’t have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page and post a reply with the following information. None of this info is a must but it helps to learn a little bit about each other.

I don't think i am going to join. lol. jk. Of course i'm in! My goal at this point is to be at -25 at the start of this challenge! I plan to see the -30's before New Years! :D Now that's something to celebrate! As of last nights weigh in i have to lose another 11.4 to be half way to my goal! YIPPEE! Half way is -35 lbs. Half way to my goal by New Years would sure make me feel good :D
Hopefully i shed a lb or 2 before the Sunday starting point! I'm going to be VERY good on Thanksgiving and i already have it planned out. I even get 1 piece of pie! If i lose 1/2 a lb between Wednesdays weigh in and Fridays Weigh In I get $10 in center credit at LAWL! What a deal. To date they have given me $70 back. When i go on maintenance i get several hundred dollars back for maintaining. Maintenance is 12 months long and you get a couple hundred after the first 6 months then a couple hundred more when you complete maintenance. That's a good deal!

Ok, this is serious. I'm getting married in 6 weeks and I MUST lose at LEAST six pounds before then or i'm going to be a little chubbawub in my wedding gown. On the positive side, though, I have a gym membership and I know how to use it, and J and I will be doing weight watchers together from now until then. I was doing so well until we went on a cruise in July and I just haven't been able to get myself on track since then.
My weight has been so inconsisent over the past five years....down to 107 in college and then up to 141 during a difficult time years ago, I can't seem to get back to a reasonable weight. For my height, I should NEVER be more than 128 according to the BMI scale.
My overall goal is to get in the best shape of my life before/while TTC (March, I hope?) Let's hope I can do it. I'm ready! I'm going on the treadmill now! :p

I vow to do much better this time! Tomorrow I am signing up for my gym's 5-week boot camp. I am hoping it is the swift kick in the butt that I need to jump-start my weight loss. We are going to Ft. Lauderdale in January to see DH's family and I want to be able to wear shorts!

So, my Weight Watchers weigh-in is on Saturday. The challenge begins on Sunday. Since the challenge runs Sunday-Saturday, can I post my weigh-in on Saturday?
If you want to end a week early you can post your first update on 11/26. If you wait to post your first week weigh in next Saturday 12/3 then that gives you an entire extra week to work towards your goal. It's up to you really. Just make sure to mark your update as week 1: loss / weight and we'll make the update for you.
Sorry i've been MIA. The office closed at 3 on Wednesday and the only computer use i have had is at my moms. The Dell tech in our area was supposed to call today to schedule a time to fix the home computer. I put dh in charge of it and honestly don't know if he heard from anyone. It should be fixed by the end of next week. Otherwise i'll be on in the morning and afternoons at the office.
Happy losing to everyone! Welcome to all the newcomers! :D The hardest part is getting started! I always told myself i'd start "tomorrow". lol. Tomorrow finally came though! You can lose it! Good luck!

Hello all,
I just had to chime in here to say OMG I weighed myself today for the first time in weeks and I've gained about four pounds. I'm only five feet tall so for me that's alot. My pants have been tighter too, and it's very sad. I'm really hoping that this weight loss challenge can be the jump start that I need. I'm getting married in LESS than six weeks!

I'm with you film girl - I just weighed myself for the first time in a while and I'm actually 3.5 lbs. heavier than I originally stated when I joined! I went ahead and changed my original post, but I'm actually 173.5 instead of 170!!!!
I went and bought a walkman last night - I wanted a CD player, but our little town didn't have one  I'm not headed to the store until Friday, so I went ahead and bought it so I could do my exercise. (for the record, I get best results with walking & pilates) I'm going to try to get out and walk each day even with the cold.

I wanted to chime in with my initial weight. I posted in the other thread too, but wasn't sure if you needed it over here as well.
Starting weight: 136.5
WLC#4 Goal: 3.5 lbs / 133
QOTD: So how did everyone do with their goals over the holiday?
I was so happy that I actually stuck to my plan. I worked out Thanksgiving morning (and Fri & Sun too) and ate more veggies and less junk than I normally do. But I didn't feel like I missed out on anything. So it was motivation that I really can make it through the holiday and still lose weight!

I ate like crap for 3 days but amazingly enough, i didn't gain any weight! I do still feel like crap though, like i've got a bowling ball in my gut!! Since we got back from the IL's i've been chugging water, trying to clense out the system of all the bad foods i ate!

Challenge #4 goal: 5 lbs.
QOTD: So how did everyone do with their goals over the holiday?
I did okay with my goals. I tried to watch portions, and never stuffed myself silly. I did have two dinners though, one with my ILs and one at home with friends. And I had waaaay too much sugar. So, this challenge starts with me back on South Beach, cutting out sugars.

Thanks for posting the updates Elli!!!! I was super busy this weekend and didn't have a lot of time for the computer.
We had a WONDERFUL holiday and all the food was so incredibly yummie!! I thought I ate a ton, but my Mom and my husband both commented how, without even thinking about it, I eat smaller portions. When I stopped and thought about it, I do! My stomach must be waaaay smaller then it was last year!!
QOTD: So how did everyone do with their goals over the holiday?
I didn't set any goals...I just enjoyed the day and ate what I wanted, but didn't go overboard! We ate such a wonderful dinner and finished it off with a piece of french silk pie.
Saturday night my husband and I had a "date" :) and we went out to dinner at our favorite steakhouse and I had a ribeye, a loaded baked potato, side ceasar salad, and two buttered rolls!!! It was all delicious, but I just knew I had gained atleast a couple pounds with all the eating I did.
Good news: I jumped on the scale this morning, cause I was so curious and couldn't wait for my Friday weigh in, and to my surprise I weighed in at 171!!! :D Talk about shocked!!! I guess my body needed that good eatin' to jump start my metabolism!!! I am pretty excited!!!

Should be a good on plan week!! This weekend may be not-so-great. :o My closest girlfriends and I are going out on Saturday night, which will include dinner and drinks. Then on Sunday, we are going to my in-laws for the annual Christmas cookie baking. I am not worried about the cookies...but not eating a healthy dinner. I will just have to use portion control on whatever my MIL serves for dinner!

I hope you all had a great holiday and a wonderful weekend!!
Here's to an awesome start to the New Year's Challenge!!!!

Hi everyone,
I had the crappiest night ever last night! I was devastated that our computer at home is still on the fritz (repairman comes tomorrow morning). I really needed some support last night. Dh stepped up and helped me through it though.
Last night when i went to LA Weight Loss to weigh in i was informed that as a "market test" they are going to switch to once a week weigh in and couseling and by appointment only! STARTING NEXT WEEK! EH? I was fuming! First of all i have had a standing appointment since i started at LAWL for 5:45 on Monday and Wednesday and 12:45 on Fridays. It even states that on the outside of my file in thick black marker. I knew that if i had an appointment that i would go. If it was optional then it was possible i could talk myself out of going, if that makes sense to anyone. Well, i was told that i couldn't have the 5:45 appointment on Monday or Wednesday of next week because someone already has it and that they aren't doing weigh ins on Fridays! The couselor told me i could have 5:30 or 6:00 and i said "then i wont be coming." I don't leave my office until 5:30 and i am not going to waste 15 mins at my office or elsewhere to be there at 6:00 when i could be at home making dinner by then. Finally they gave me a 5:45 on Monday after i pointed out that i have had a standing appointment for 11 weeks!
I cried all the way home. I was sad and frustrated and nervous. I was frustrated because i think its bs that they can switch the program mid cycle. If they are going to do a market test they should do it to a facility that is just opening and not to clients that have been paying good money and following the plan for weeks and weeks! I was sad because i have been doing so awesome! 25 lbs in 11 weeks puts me above average at a 2.2 lbs loss a week. I was nervous because i don't know if i can do as good or keep up the same pace or heck even be successful at all only going in once a week to weigh in. I like going three times a week. I go on Monday eager to see if i lost over the weekend because that's always my hardest time. On Wednesday i am always excited to see the loss i have made since Monday since i am so on track during the week and on Fridays i get to weigh in and post my weekly weight to our challenge. Not to mention my weight tracker. I like seeing all the little points that keep slanting down and watch my ticker get closer and closer to its goal. I like it the way it is! I like going three times a week. Just thinking about how their "market test" could affect my success and my weight loss makes me so angry! I have a lump in my throat and just want to cry. I don't know if i can do this on my own and to be honest i feel like lawl has abandoned me and that i AM on my own. I don't know if paying the fees is worth it to just go once a week. It's equally sad that i have taken this so personal and have such little faith in myself.
I can already see what's going to happen. If i only have to go once a week and lets say i go on Monday. Then i'll mentally figure i can goof off on Tuesday-Friday because if i am really good over the weekend i might still post a loss on the following monday! Call me crazy but i think half of my success is because of validation and accountability. Seeing my little successes is validation that i am on the right track and talking to that third party couselor is who holds me accountable. I just like it the way it is and don't want it to change.
I called customer service and they hadn't been informed of any "market test" and i told the woman in customer service how disappointed i am in the changes and she filed a complaint for me. She seemed shocked that they were changing things so drastically as well. I asked if i could change centers and she said i absolutely could. The next closest one is out of my way to get to so now i have to decide if i want to switch or give this once a week thing a try.
Any thoughts?
I just wanted to point out that in my contract it reads:
~This guarantee is valid under the following conditions:~
I will follow the L A Weight Loss Centers program and will...
A. Visit the center at least 3 (three) times weekly.
B. Only consume foods for all meals as directed by the company
C. Follow the personalized counseling as instructed
D. Take the sevice weeks consecutively
The contact spells out that it includes 3 weekly visits. If they market test this too long i am ready to hold them accountable to my contract. I read the entire contract too and it doesn't say anything about the program being changed without notice. So as far as i am concerned they owe me the program i signed up for! DH is ready to demand all of our money back if they wont adhere to the contract. Of course i was crying on his shoulder at the time and i can only imagine how terrible he felt having to deal with me :)
I am obviously upset about this. Does everyone think i am nuts?
ETA: I am so sorry this was so long. I really needed the vent though! If you read the whole thing, Thank you!

11-29-2005, 01:22 PM
(((Elli)))...I am so sorry they are changing things on you, sweetie!!! I agree, they don't have a right to do that if they don't state that the program can change at any time. You signed up for the program as it was and paid for it...so that is what they should offer. I would be so upset too!!
As far as you feeling nervous...we are here to keep you accountable. We will not allow you to goof off Tuesday-Friday!!! To keep you accountable, maybe we can start posting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday what we have eaten for the days....that way you may feel like you are sort of checking in?! Could you weigh yourself at home on the days you are supposed to weigh in at the clinic?! I know that is what you paid for though...
I will be here in any way I can to support you!! You have come SO far and you have rid 25 pounds off of your body FOREVER!!! There is no turning back now!!
I always thought I couldn't lose weight on my own and look at me now...a half a pound away from losing 40 pounds!!! I owe a lot to you girl's for keeping me accountable every week!!!
(((HUGS))) to you and we CAN do this together!!!!

I reward myself every 10 pounds. For instance, when I hit 179.5 pounds, I made an appointment for an hour massage. I LOVE massages, so I tell myself I can only go get one every 10 pounds. I am soooo close to 169.5 and once I hit it...I will be heading in for another massage!!! :D I can't wait!!!!

I'm having a lot of trouble climbing back onto the wagon :( Any advice???
ladybug~I know it can be soooo hard to climb back on, but you CAN do it!!! We went to Orlando for a week and I came back 10 pounds heavier!!! I was so discouraged, but I kicked it into gear, started journaling again, and ended up losing 7.5 pounds that first week back on. I ate a lot of salty foods while on vacation, so a lot of that was water weight that I lost that first week. I was 175 on October 7th and I am 171 now...so I have been working hard to lose that vacation weight plus a few more pounds...but what counts is I did it and I didn't give up!!
My advice to you is to journal EVERYTHING you eat during the day!! That is one thing that has helped me a ton!!! I seriously do not think that I could have lost close to 40 pounds since May without journaling!! Feel free to journal in here what you eat daily. If you have to show us what you are consuming everyday...it just may help to keep you accountable!! :p
Also, if you are having a crappy food day...come in here for support. I check the boards frequently, so I am always here to offer some motivation words to keep you on track!!! :)
You can do this sweetie!!! I know how hard it is to stay focus, but the outcome will be GREAT!!!! :D

QOTD(yesterday): Do you reward yourself after losing "X" amount of pounds?! If so, how do you reward yourself?!
DH promised me a new wardrobe when I hit my goal weight, but I don't really have little rewards up until that point. Maybe I should...;)
Mom2Cole - Thank you so much for your encouraging words. They really lifted me up and made me feel that I really can do this. I am going to start my journaling today and will post it here nightly. I hope others will do the same so that I am not the only one!!
Also, I am challenging myself and all of you to drink 64oz of water a day! Not having enough water in your body lowers your metabolism (and makes you feel pretty yucky) Get drinking! ;)
Weighed myself this morning - 143.6. Not sure how I lost a pound when I have been eating everything in sight
Welcome to TracieB and Kate!! :)
Congrats on your loss udsweetpea! :D

I know it's against the rules but I've been weighing myself every day this week. I was shocked because my weight jumped up on Tuesday, and is only slowly heading back down. I'm sure it's because of Thanksgiving. I ate SO much across the holiday weekend, I was SHOCKED when I did my points. I think i'm going to be over by about 50!!! Talk about a reality check! oy!
I'm hoping that by saturday morning I don't show a gain...I will be happy with that. So disappointing, but I can't really be surprised. I ate more over last weekend than I've eaten in such a long time. Better luck next week I guess! :p

I guess I didn't read the rules too well. I do it everyday. I hate surprises.
Off to Kohl's to find an outfit for Saturday's Christmas Party that fits! My one from last year, the skirt will not fit over my thighs. :( I'd rather spend the $$ on other things.
Way I reward myself? Well, actually DH has noticed my body has become "more firm" and just those sweet words are enough to make me keep going.

Good Luck everyone!

Okay...not to be a stickler, :o but if you chose to weigh yourself daily, that is a-okay, but let's stick to posting 1 official weigh in on the boards a week and be sure to indicate that it's your official weigh in and for what week and in RED. (although posting in red hasn't been a problem! Thanks btw!) It gets kind of confusing when I go to make updates and I already have a weigh in for you. Is everyone cool with that?!

I am so embarrassed to post this but I guess if I am accountable to someone then maybe I will do better. I did well until supper last night...
64oz water - 0 points
2 cups Cheerios - 4 points
1 cup skim milk - 2 points
36 cheese & garlic croutons - 3 points
7 choc. mini rice cakes - 1 point
4 Pillsbury garlic breadsticks - 8 points
2 cups skim milk - 4 points
unknown amount of homemade alfredo sauce -
unknown amount of chicken tortellini -
2 pkgs of Hershey's cookies - 14 points
2 cups skim milk - 4 points
My daily point total is supposed to be 20. As you can see, I went WAY over :( I am guesstimating my portions of the alfredo and tortellini so that I can come up with a point value, then I can at least be somewhat accountable for my gorging  My food companion book says 1/4 cup of Alfredo is 5 points..OMG..if I say I had a 1.5 cups of that..30 points. *thud* Tortellini..frozen..we'll say 1 cup..5 points. Sooo...my grand total for yesterday...75 points. So, officially day 1 of my diet and not only am I over my daily points, but I've also used up my Weekly Point Allowance of 35. I think I might be sick...
I am sitting here doing the math..if I cut back by two points per day over the rest of the week and get on the treadmill for 20 mins 3 or 4 times, I can at least breakeven. Can someone tell me why I do this to myself?? :(

Can someone tell me why I do this to myself??
If I may try to lend support without sounding judgemental (which I'm totally not)....one thing I learned through years of trying to control my weight is that there will be many times when we are tempted to do what we WANT to do instead of what we NEED to do to maintain a healthy weight. It's especially complicated by the fact that what your friends may be able to eat and maintain a healthy weight is much more than what you are able to eat. (I know I have that problem, because i'm 5 feet tall and have a sucky metabolism.)
You get to a point where you have to make a decision...do I eat this or not? Do I go to the gym or go home and nap? I can totally understand why a person would choose to eat what they want or to nap instead of work out.
My question to you would be, what were you feeling last night? What was on your mind? How was your day yesterday? Did you have a plan for dinner?
Try not to feel guilty for eating too much. Just remember how you feel this morning, and remember that feeling the next time you are tempted to eat without allotting your points first. One thing I read that inspired me a bit...the impulse to eat a particular thing often last for about 5 or ten minutes, at the most. If you can make it through that short time period, and even divert your attention to something more interesting/satisfying, then you will have conquered that problem for the moment.
All that being said, I know exactly how you feel. I got on the scale this morning and I almost cried....I didn't think my week was THAT bad, but I guess I was wrong. We are here for you....hang in there. *HUGS*

Ladybug - this is how I feel also! I think filmgirl got the nail right on the head (or whatever that saying is. :))
I used to be one of those ones who could eat whatever she wanted, but I know now it's catching up to me! It's hard to see all those around us eating whatever they want with 0 weight gain. :(

YEs, Yes! I think this works for me! If I can just steer my car around the ice cream shop, and divert my attention (although sometimes I then steer towards Kohls and end up buying clothes which can be just as bad :o ) then I notice the impulse passes! You can do it!

I'm here! I didn't finish up with the Thanksgiving challenge and it's taken me awhile to get over here...sorry! :o
I am getting back on track though. Starting now.
Stats:
Final weight from Thanksgiving challege & starting weight for this challege: 196
Week 1: +1/197
Yesterday I ordered an elliptical machine! I have a gym membership, but everynight as I am leaving work I struggle to get there because I just want to go home. I want to spend time with DH, my puppy, have dinner together, etc. Needless to say, the gym thing really wasn't working out for me because home was winning more often than not. So, I decided starting a home gym was my best option.
We have a weight bench with lots of free weights, but I need a piece of cardio equipment. I ordered the ProForm 1280S Interactive Trainer. I am so excited! It has tons of options including a built in CD player and a fan. (two that I'm really excited about :D ) I plan to get up earlier in the a.m. and workout and then again in the evenings. Hopefully this is going to be the answer for me. I'll keep you posted.

Ugh, this has been a rough week for weight loss. Last week I ate so much...it's difficult to compensate for it, and I'm lucky that I'm showing ANY loss at all. Seriously, I was hoping to never see these numbers on my scale EVER again, so i'm really bummed out. I guess it just goes to show what I can and can't get away with anymore where eating and exercise are concerned.
Congrats to all the losers this week, and to anyone who broke even, too! Losing weight is so hard. This week I took a book out of the library called Fat and Furious. I haven't started it yet but the title alone really spoke to me. Anyone read it?

Congrats to everyone who lost this week! And I agree with filmgirl, we all need to keep in mind this is hard and long term.
I was so excited yesterday. While I call myself a size 8, I typically wear a 10 in jeans (but I do wear an 8 in pants and dresses and a 6 in skirts, so I figure it equals an 8...). But I noticed last week that my pants have been getting looser...so I tried on some 8s last night in the same style I usually get. And they fit! I didn't buy them because they weren't on sale, but still. I was excited.
I will finish reading the thread later and then join the challenge for real

UGH! I was really sick this week with a bad sinus infection and did not go to the gym at all. In fact, DH even had to walk the dog. I also didn't have much of an appetite, so I don't get why I gained. Who knows? But now I am feeling good again and ready to shed some weight. My boot camp at the gym starts on the 12th!!
OK, I'm 183.5. I guess I just have to admit what my weight is to be in these things, huh? Also, then I can at least keep track of my weight. I've been sick and haven't been to the gym and really...How much can I lose by new years? I'll say 5 lbs. 5 lbs. would be nice! Can we do an April Fool's one though so that I can have some long term goals? :)
(My long term goal is 18 lbs. by 4/1 but that might be too ambitious.)

HAPPY MONDAY!!!
How was everyone's weekend?! :D
My weekend was a BLAST, but it was terrible food-wise!! :o
Friday I was extremely good and had a good food day. I even went shopping, so I got in some major walking!! :p
Saturday I pigged out on two pieces of pizza and a breadstick at lunch and then had a Girl's Night Out with 4 of my girlfriend's that evening. We stayed at a hotel and had a great time, but drank too much  and that cheeseburger and fries at 1:00am prolly was not a great idea (but it was scrumptious at the time!! :D )
Yesterday we went to my in-laws for the annual cookie baking and I didn't eat one cookie (YAY ME!!!), however, my MIL made pizza's, chili, and lil' smokies and I had a piece of pizza (which I shared half with our son cause he ate his all up), a small bowl of chili, and 15 lil' smokies. Not a bad dinner for not eating all day...but not the best either!
We have no social events this week or this weekend...so I plan to stay on track and HOPEFULLY see 170 on my scale Friday!! Let's hope!!!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sorry for the late weigh in, I just got home last night from a weekend trip, which COMPLETELY sabatoged my losses thus far. I guess eating out for 7 straight meals in a row will do that to you.:o I have a gain of +2 this week bringing me to 276.5
Time to go work out and get myself back on my points.
Have a great day everyone! Remember to drink your water

Hola!
kate - Don't worry about the gain. It is hard to stay on a diet while traveling. +2 in the grand scheme of things isn't that bad. Get back on track now and you'll see that 2 lbs will come off quickly. The most recent weight gain is always the easiest to lose.
Listen to me telling you to get back on track when i have been a miserable stressed out mess for an entire week now. Literally, ever since last Monday when LA Weight Loss changed things on me i have been out of control. Well, food wise during last week wasn't bad but i wasn't following it to the T. Friday night was a birthday party and i had cake and a couple of cookies. Saturday night i had chips and salsa. I haven't done anything like that in 12 weeks and i am so MAD at myself. I am back on track today even though i am not hungry. I have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary and have been in slight pain, nauseous, and not hungry for 4-5 days now. I forced down my protein bar at 10:30 and in an hour i guess i'll have to force down lunch. I can't just not eat. I need a loss this week to get my motivation back up.
Mom2Cole- Sounds like a fun Saturday night. We had friends over and put up our Christmas tree. We played a game then watched War of the Worlds. The movie was good albeit a little corny. I realize the point of the movie is to be corny. I was impressed with the reason the aliens die. Pretty darn clever!
princesstommi- You and me both! GET BACK ON TRACK! :D.
miel- Good for you for admitting your weight. Not just to us but maybe yourself? I know i didn't want to believe i weighed what i weighed! It helps to see it though. It makes it so much more real and important. Plus, its more fun when you get to the next level... 180's 170's 160's, etc... It's an extra push to go for it!
UTChick-Sorry you were sick. I am glad you feel better now! We are all going to have setbacks like this so don't let it worry you.
clzj- You are welcome anytime.
boilermaker- WOW! Congratulations. I bet that felt really great! I can't wait to just be able to buy pants in a store like Lerner, and Express and not the Misses department at JCPenneys! Although i did buy a size 16 at Penney's the other day so i kind of know your satisfaction in going down a size. Keep it up! and go back for those jeans when they are on sale!
APCullip22- See you in the New Year. If you need any support don't hesitate to post!

Mom2Cole, I'm hoping you see the 170 on your scale this week too!!! You know how at weight watchers they say that nothing tastes as good as thin feels...well a cheeseburger and fries after a night of drinking definitely does in my books :) Just means an extra hour on the treadmill......
kate, I hear you on the traveling. I leave Sunday for a 10 day trip that includes food food food everywhere. Thanks for the water reminder...I just went and filled up my glass.
elli, did you ever get the LAWL thing figured out? I don't remember if I replied to that post or not, but I felt horrible for you. You didn't!! Not at all!!! I appreciated your input very very much :)
one thing I learned through years of trying to control my weight is that there will be many times when we are tempted to do what we WANT to do instead of what we NEED to do to maintain a healthy weight.
So true. I have a horrible time trying to hold myself back from eating something I want, regardless of the fact that I don't *need* it or that it is bad for me. This is probably 3/4 of my problem.
My question to you would be, what were you feeling last night? What was on your mind? How was your day yesterday? Did you have a plan for dinner?
At the time, I didn't think I was feeling anything in particular, except that I was HUNGRY. I just wanted to eat anything and everything. Now I know that I was having PMS (AF is visiting now :p ). I did have a plan for dinner, just not all of the extra things I ate afterward..or the FOUR breadsticks. I went overboard.
We are here for you....hang in there. *HUGS* Thank you :D I appreciate that soo much! Here's to a better week!!

boilermaker- Thanks for thinking about me. and don't worry, i post in here almost daily! ;) It's sort of worked out. They are going to appointments only and its supposed to be once a week. After telling them how upset i was and (ahem, and crying - I was REALLY REALLY upset!) They said they want us to succeed and that i can continue to come 3 times a week if i want but it has to be by appointment. So, i met them halfway and decided that i am going to go twice a week. This week i am going on Monday and Friday but from now on i am going to go on Monday and Thursday. I am going to do this for awhile and see how it goes and at some point maybe i will be able to go only once a week. I will admit that when i get to maintenance (you go on maintenance for 12 months after you reach your goal) it will be nicer to only have to go once a week!
mrstim- OMG! Congratulations! I have to admit... i wouldn't be too upset about dropping out of the challenge if i were pregnant. Ya know... i think you are #3 to drop out b/c of pregnancy! We seem to be a fertile bunch :p Have a H&H 9 months!

WEEK ONE - 0
This week feels different though I think I'm gonna put up big numbers on Saturday
I was having trouble last week with candy. Can't really explain it--because if I'm not even trying to not eat candy, I don't eat it. (Used to love it as a kid but kind of outgrew it.) When I am trying to lose weight consciously, I have this strange habit of doing what I told myself I didn't want to do.

Congrats to all the losers! Great job. It seems a lot of us are struggling this week and last, myself included. I did 11 weeks of dieting without a problem then BOOM! It was like a brick wall. I didn't lose anything last week but from Friday to monday i lost 1.2 so i am hoping to post big numbers come Friday. Today is the day i wish i had that 3rd appt a week with LAWL because i really want to know how my progress is! I have no idea if i need to be extra cautious or can have that extra bite of ice cream, ya know? So i am going to err on the side of caution but i have a feeling that's going to bite me in the butt down the road. I guess i just need to adjust. Monday was the first loss i've seen since the program structure changed. I was at 194 on Monday so i hope to see the 180's by my week 3 weigh in! If i get there sooner you'll be the first to know :D
It's kind of nice that we are all struggling at the same time b/c we have each other to talk to. BUT WE ALL NEED TO GET BACK ON TRACK!
I don't keep anything in the house or i'll eat it. The temptation is too overwhelming. As a matter of fact we had a small get together on Friday night and i bought cookies... i ate one this morning. I told dh to put them in a bag and take them to work but he didn't. Tonight i am going to cram them down his throat or throw them away :) I do typically have some sugar free candy in the house... it's on my "diet" though. Up to 3 pieces per day.
Well, off to post everyones updates!

I still challenge you all to drinking 8 glasses of water a day!
HA! I'll take that challenge and see you 10-12! lol.
I get all my water in! (during the week anyway. I have a harder time on the weekends but make a conscious effort to do it) I will admit that it definitely helps! Plus, i feel better now that i am getting in all my water. I never used to drink water or much of anything for that matter!
IDEA:
I think we should all raid our cabinets! Throw away the cookies, candy, cake, and other tempting not good for your diet food. If its not there you wont eat it! I am going to take my own advice tonight when i get home too. Those cookies are trash. :p

I do believe DH would string me up by my ears if I threw out that "perfectly good food" but I will pack it all up today and send it to work with him in the morning.
Ok, I'm off to fill my water bottle and put it in the fridge :)

pack it all up today and send it to work with him in the morning.
My dh is the same way. With food and "junk". Every year for 3 years we have been packing up this christmas "crap" that i hate. Most of it is from my mil. I appreciate the gesture but almost all of it doesn't fit my taste! Last weekend we had friends over on saturday night to decorate our tree. So dh pulled up all the boxes from the basement and i proceeded to open them all up and complain about all the useless crap we pack up each year and never use. Some friends and i joked about a lot of it and most of it i threw away (gave away) without argument from dh. The next day i was telling my mom the story and dh said i got away with it because i had "reinforcements!" lol. Some of it went to work with dh and it better go into work storage when they are done using it. NOT MY BASEMENT! I send food with him all the time. Ironically, we have a "no food you don't want" policy at my office. I put it in place about a year ago when it seemed like everyone was bringing in leftover cookies, cakes, candies, etc... People with willpower could resist which meant those of us without willpower had more to eat :p Now we only have the occasional vendor that brings us goodies. Not so bad.
On the same topic but not weight related... i also headed the campaign to have a no smelly perfume, lotion, soap, spray, etc... policy. I am SO allergic to SO many smells that a couple of days a week i'd go home sick. Thank goodness that one passed although now i am in an actual office with 4 walls and a door so the smells of the general office probably wouldn't bother me as much. Oh well, still a good rule imo :)
Go drink your water! I was up to 8 glasses by 10:30. I will have another one around 3:30 when i eat my other protein bar and i might (this is the 12th glass i sometimes have) have another glass of water after dinner. This seems to work for me. I start my water drinking at 8:30 and i have 8 glasses by about 10:30 (unless i get a late start). This way i am done going to the restroom every 15 mins by noon! Then i have glass 10 at 3:30 with my snack and the optional 12th glass after dinner if i am thirsty (or hungry). It definitely helped when i set an initial pattern. Going from 0 liquids to all my glasses of water + a couple and a soda with lunch and sometimes dinner was a shocker at first. Going 12 weeks strong.
ETA: I count glasses of water in 2's because the cup i use holds 16/18 glasses and i fill it to the 16 mark which counts for 2 8oz glasses.

Happy Hump Day Girl's!!!! :D
Mrstim~CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I wish you a happy, healthy nine months!!! :D
This week is going fabulous for me so far!!! We actually have 4 plates of cookies sitting on our counter right now and 5 plates sitting in our freezer! After our cookie baking on Sunday, MIL sent us home with a slew of cookies!!! I was actually excited cause that means I don't have to buy cookies for my husband's lunch!!! :p
Having a husband with a sweet tooth (and a high metabolism  ) and a little boy...we have goodies in the house. Sweets are not my downfall though...it was portion sizes and eating fast food all the time that helped me gain this weight! ;) So, I never feel tempted by the snacks laying around. I do, however, crave a juicy quarter pounder from McDonald's at least once a week! :p
Weigh in is Friday and I am hoping to see 1-7-0 on my scale!!!! I am sooooo close to the 160's I can taste it!!!! After the crazy weekend last weekend of drinking and eating...I will be ecstatic to see 170, even though it will just be a one pound loss!!! This weekend we have no social events planned, so staying on track will be easy!!
Congratulations to all who have lost this week!!! WOW...20 pounds already!!! That is so awesome!!!! Keep up the great work!!!

I'm happy with the weight loss but this is all familiar ground to me. I've been dieting seriously since the summer and got down to 131 so it won't really mean big results until I've gotten into the 120's....I haven't seen those numbers since early last year. But with my wedding just four weeks away, I am DETERMINED to give 100% to this....I just keep thinking of wedding photos. 4 weeks is still enough time to make a huge difference in how I look (especially arms, shoulders, etc.) I'm really happy with this trend, though. I've been running at the gym alot...maybe it's helping, finally :)

I lost 1 pound last week. I'm not sure if it was real weight loss or because i've been sick for a week now. The cold hasn't been so bad but it was the exhaustion. All i've done for the past week is either sleep or go to work then come home and sleep. I am feeling better though so i'm going to the gym today for the first time in a week and a half. I've got to get back into my routine! This one pound lost means i've now lost 15 pounds!!!
I'm so excited at the possibilities of being in the 130's!! It's been so long since i've seen that on my scale!!

amberfiddles Hang in there. You sound down. I hope everything is okay. I'm here to talk if you need someone.
TX Sweetheart- Awesome weightloss! You are putting me to shame! lol.
miel- You CAN absolutely do it! I feel your pain. I am scared to weigh in today. Actually, nervous not scared. I haven't weighed since Monday... i hate this.
filmgirl7- Hey, its a success none the less! Congrats on your wedding. You are going to look fabulous!
meganth- Good job! You'll definitely be in the 130's next week! That's awesome! I hope you feel better soon!
Moni- DID YOU WEIGH IN YET? Are you in the 170's? I can't wait to hear the good news!
As for me... i am disappointed in my will power. I haven't done anything that bad. Like last night i had stuffing out of a box... my diet includes 0 prepared foods like that. Can vegetables, box pasta, etc... I felt guilty doing it but i just kept on eating. I did use it as my other starch for the day but i probably had too much. I did it then sat there asking myself "why?" Well, today is weigh in. It's the first week of results going to only twice a week weigh ins. I can tell you i didn't do as good as i have been doing because i wasn't too worried about things at the beginning of the week knowing i didn't have to weigh in until Friday. Exactly what i was expecting to happen is happening and i don't have the willpower to change it. It's like going to the doctor and saying "doctor, it hurts when i do this" then the doctor says "then stop doing it!" I know its wrong and i do it anyway. From the very beginning i said my downfalls are impulsiveness and willpower. I took them off the list on my profile because they weren't an issue for 12 weeks. 1 week into a change and i've already screwed up. So, i am adding back to my profile willpower and impulsiveness as "known issues".
So this week is over and next week i get to start fresh. I am weighing in on Monday and Thursday so there wont be as many days in between. My GOAL is to stay on track for 7 entire days starting TODAY! I don't believe in tomorrow. Like John Fogerty said "someday may never come". I should probably throw in a Carpe Diem just for good measure! :D
Keep up the awesome weight loss everyone! Next week i plan to join the ranks of the big losers!

Jen, thanks for thinking of me this morning!!! :D Well, there wasn't a 1-7-0 on my scale this morning but there was a 169.5!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Can you even believe it?!?!?! Holy cow!!! For a total of 41 pounds lost since May 9th, 2005!!!!!!
After my terrible weekend last weekend with all the alcohol and a cheeseburger and fries at 1:00am, I am pretty darn excited about this!!! I am even more excited that I have proved that I am not on a "diet" that I am just changing my lifestyle!!! I can have fun with my friend's and eat and drink, but I just know that I have to jump back on the "good food train" the next day!! That is always where I failed in the past and I have overcome that...I am so very excited!!!!
I did stay on track this week and it sure did pay off!!! This weekend is free of any social events, so I won't get off track and possibly hit my Christmas goal of 166!!! :D I am just so excited to see the 160's on my scale!!!! Do you even know how long it has been?! YEARS!!!! :o
I reward myself with a massage every level (190's, 180's, 170's, etc.), so today I am going to make an appointment for a massage. Hopefully they can get me in next weekend!!! :D
I gotta run...I will be back later!!!

ellidew, my dear, I could have written your post myself. The combination of stress at work and readily available sweets and snacks were taking over my life this week. I am a teacher, and it is crazy the amount of horrible snacks we have lying around. We are all so damn co-dependent! ;)
week 2: +1 / 142:mad:
We got ice here in the Dallas area, so life came to a standstill since we don't know how to handle ourselves with a little ice on the ground. I was able to get back to the gym today and my bootcamp starts on Monday. They will weigh and measure me and get my body fat percentage. Talk about motivation for eating well this weekend! I will also meet with the nutritionist to discuss my eating habits. I have to turn in my food journal every Saturday morning, so I am finally going to shame myself into eating better. :) I can't lie on my food journal and I would have been so embarassed to turn in this past week's meals and snacks, so it is time to become accountable. So here we go...

I think I will try a heck of a lot more when it's warm enough outside to walk. I think my weight gain has just been lack of exercise. I am totally unmotivated to exercise while I'm still going to school, and that will be done in April. I haven't noticed any weight loss due to change in medicine, but maybe that is yet to come. We had a pretty mellow weekend! We didn't have any social events, but we managed to eat out every night! I did make pretty good food choices though...
Friday, Cole and I went to Old Chicago for lunch and I had a chicken wrap with fries. Could have went without the fries...but they were gooood! I ended up skipping dinner, since I had such a huge lunch and later in the day.
Saturday, we went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner and I had the salad bar and a loaded baked potato. I was feeling a tad bit guilty about the potato, but figured it was my only meal of the day...so the guilt went away quick! ;)
Yesterday we went to Lonestar for an early dinner around 4:00pm and I had a caesar salad and 3 pieces of bread! I could have done without the bread...but oh well! I ended up having a bowl of Cheerio's for a snack later on last night...I was sooo hungry! AF has arrived, so my appetite is in full force! I hate this time of the month...but I get through it with healthy snacks!! :)
Our week is pretty low key, but we have a very busy weekend ahead, which will involve lots of food!! I must be good this week cause I have a feeling I may splurge a bit this weekend!! :p
Hope everyone has a great week!!!

DH and I each ate one bite of each thing and threw the rest away. I hate being wasteful, but better in the trash than on my hips! :p
So I just got home from my first night of bootcamp. It totally kicked my butt, but it was SO MUCH FUN! I haven't worked out that hard in a long, long time and it felt great! I am so pumped for Wednesday night now.

I had a tiny gain this week.
I am not discouraged. I am simply amazed. Why I didn't gain more, I do not know. I had a horrible week of eating and when I climbed on the scale, I expected a much bigger gain.
Yesterday I made the decision to change my life. One part of that is diet and exercise. I am going to eat healthier and exercise. I don't have a diet plan per say, but I have a lot more fruit and healthy things in the house (I even bought wheat bread which I do not like, but am going to start eating) and am really going to pay attention to serving sizes. I will give this a try for a few weeks and see if I need to be on an actual plan or if this will be enough for me. I am excited for the change!
LynzeyAHL - Awesome job! :)
Mom2Cole - I hear ya on appetite and AF. I am never more "ravenous" than when she pays a visit
princesstommi - Maybe you need to jumpstart your metabolism by going off plan for a meal? If you are doing everything right, and haven't had a loss, that's what I would guess!

Thanks. I'm actually looking at my calories right now. I may need to eat more? In the past two weeks, my average calories come out to 1325, which is about what my WW points would be (26)...but without any of the extra flex points?
Anyway, I'm not as frustrated today. I've started noticing small changes again. Like, my pants fit a little better. My ass doesn't look as big as I walk by the mirror. The small stuff. And, this weekend I went shopping for sweaters and I'm actually down a size, from XL at Old Navy to a Large. This summer, a L wasn't even possible. So, that felt good, and a bit inspiring. I just want to get solidly below this 200 mark, that will feel better than anything! :) Thanks for the support.

You definitely need to eat a little more then! In WW, at least some of the extra Flex points need to be eaten, if not all. Anyone I've ever talked to who hasn't used their extra points has run into the same problem as you have. Once they started eating some of those extra points, things started moving again :) HTH!

I was SO proud of myself yesterday. I had to go in the candy aisle at Walmart and get holiday M&Ms for the Christmas jars I am doing for DH's coworkers. I was starving and some of that candy was looking so yummy. I wanted SO badly to buy some to eat on the way home...and normally, I would have, but I reminded myself I am trying to eat healthy and I could have something yummy when I got home. I left the store with no candy for myself :D and when I got home, I had apple slices that I dipped in fat free caramel dip, which satisfied me just fine! Yay for me :)
That rewarding feeling was doubled this morning when I stepped on the scale and found that I lost a little weight :)...in fact, enough that I am below last week's weigh in! Yay yay!!

I've been really busy with work and school but am still trying to make decent choices. Friday night, FH took me out to a fun and yummy restaurant and I let myself enjoy it. I had a grilled snapper w/veggies as an entree so I let myself have some fried ice cream :D Definitely worth it!
Tonight is my last final. I can't freakin' wait for it all to be over. I'm so stressed out. Next week, I'll be able to start working out in the evenings since I'll be home earlier than usual.
I really, really, really want to reach my challenge goal!

I'm going to have to drop out of this challenge, also.
All the joy in my "eating life" has left me since I have to constantly watch what I'm eating. I'm going to hibernate this winter and meet back up with you guys in the spring when I can walk again.

Just had to share..
I made up those cookie mix jars for DH's coworkers...you know the kind that you put in the flour, sugar, etc..and then the person just has to add butter and eggs and cook..and VOILA!
Anyway, I put M&Ms in them..and I didn't eat a SINGLE one. :D I was tempted many a time..I used 4 large bags, if that tells you how many I had to see and touch, but not eat. I definitely feel like the pride of knowing I had willpower beat out the fleeting enjoyment I would have gotten out of the M&Ms... :)

:D Happy Thursday! :D
Hola ladies! How's everyones week going? Things here are going great! I had a horrible week last week with my first gain ever in 12-13 weeks! ICK! I was so depressed and sad and disappointed in LAWL i just couldn't get myself in gear to follow my diet. It was a dark dark week. I am happy to report that since Friday i have lost 2.4 lbs and still have today and tomorrow before i weigh in again. I feel confident and encouraged again. I am back to 3 times a week even though every time i go in there they tell me that i should try only coming once a week. I told them that the only week i have ever had a gain was the week i only came once.
Only 2.2 more lbs before i hit the -30 mark and only 3.3 before i enter the 180's guns blazin' :D
BethElena & TaterBaby - Sorry to see you both go. We'll see you again soon and hopefully you'll stick around to chat too.
Coccinelle- Well go you! That's great! Just think of all the guilt you didn't have to put yourself through! Either time! In the candy aisle and at home. Awesome! It's hard sometimes. I was starving on my way home last night and stopped at walmart to kill time before my appt at LAWL (this wasn't a problem when i didn't need an appt! So stupid!) I talked myself out of many yummy things too.
catch- Congrats on getting your finals over with! I bet that will free up a lot of time! -1 the week of finals is really fantastic! I'm so proud of you! You'll reach your goal without a doubt.
TracieB- Congrats on your loss! That's wonderful!
Tonysweetie- I can agree with the lifestyle change. I'm going about it a little differently though. Right now i am in the weight loss phase. Once i reach my goal i will go on "maintenance" for a year and learn the lifestyle changing part. They teach you how to eat to maintain your weight and that includes introducing all foods and situations. I look forward to that!

It's a gain, but not a big one and honestly I'm surprised it's not bigger with all the crap I ate this week... this is still huge for me, since I've been under 200 for a month and a half now and I hadn't been under 200 before that in almost a year I think!

I knew I would gain some this week. I had gone home for 10 days, which included 2 nights out to eat with Jeff, 2 Christmas parties, eating out with my parents all the time, and so many chocolates! Plus, I left my scale at home, so I've been without it all week! And I also started picking up running, so some of the gain was probably a little bit of muscle.
Well, I got sick this morning :( so I better go lay down.

Okay, so here's the deal. A lot of us are slightly gaining or maintaining. As far as i can tell that puts us in the minority of people around this month! I read somewhere that there is an average of a 7 lb weight gain during the holidays. I am proud that we are still "watching" what we eat and making an effort but i know all too well from last weekend that it's nearly impossible to close it out altogether.
I'm going to work my butt off this week staying completely on track then i am going to enjoy christmas eve and christmas day then after that i am going to be a dieting fool! At that point there will only be 6 weeks until my cruise and i have a boat load of new clothes in a size smaller that i am going to wear!
Keep it up ladies. Resist resist resist.
My weekend was a terrible reflection of my dieting status over the last 14 weeks! Friday night we went to friends for a xmas party. I ate potato casserole, and croutons (watch out! lol), and a small piece of cheesecake. Saturday night we went to a xmas party and the vegetarian entree was pasta so i ate that then had some fried shell thing with a scoop of ice cream and part of a apple torte. Then yesterday i was at my moms all day visiting my sister, bil, and 2 nieces whom are in town from Casablanca, Morocco. I think i ate 5 cookies! AHHH! I had WAY too many carbs this weekend. I am going to only eat half of my allowed carbs this week to try and make up for it. So, back on track today and so far so good. I am determined to be good all week to enjoy the weekend. It will be a great reward.
I hope everyone else is resisting better than i am. Keep it up ladies... we are nearly at the end of the year (and this challenge!)

I definitely need to officially be labeled SKIP for last week. Not only did AF arrive on weigh day, but then we had our annual family holiday party and a friend's holiday party, too! I'm heading back to the gym this afternoon in hopes that I can make up some time. I have about THREE WEEKS until my wedding, and I would like to lose 4 pounds in that time. I hope I can resist holiday temptation in favor of nice wedding pictures. LOL! Must exercise!!! :p

I have no clue how I lost a pound last week...but I am not complaining. We ate out 3 nights in a row and then again the night before weigh in. Granted, I am making healthier choices when we eat out, but the night before weigh in, I had a run in with the salsa bar at this awesome mexican restaurant here and I for sure thought I was doomed. We usually do not eat out during the week...so I guess I was surprised I lost anything with eating out 4 days out of 7!! :D
We are planning on eating at home every night until Christmas Eve. I usually do not eat that much on Christmas Eve, cause we are at my husband's Aunt's house and I am too busy making sure our son is staying out of stuff (her house is not baby proofed.) :) But Christmas Day, we are spending with my family and I am planning on having another feast like I did at Thanksgiving. I actually lost the week of Thanksgiving, so I am hoping to repeat that! ;)
I will try to update stats tomorrow...I just don't have time right now. Hope everyone is having a swell week!!! :D

LynzeyAHL- this is the last week of weigh ins for this challenge. It ends on Saturday Dec 31st (New Years Eve) and the new challenge starts on Sunday Jan 1st. The V-day challenge isn't open yet but some people weigh in earlier in the week so as your weigh in comes post your final weigh in here (along with any profile updates/changes) and then in the new challenge if you want to join that one. It's basically just to have those members that want to continue onto the new challenge check in so we know whos in and whos out. Definitely finish out the week here... i am! I don't weigh in until Friday! I'm no where near my goal but i had an overall loss for the holidays (between Thanksgiving and New Years) so i am proud of that! Good luck with the rest of the week!

*For anyone struggling to stay on track!*
Hi Ladies. Just wanted to share my awesome experience with everyone. I'm right there with you struggling through the holidays. Eating too many carbs and then craving them... like yesterday. Today is a better day though. When i woke up this morning i didn't feel like eating so everything is back on track. That's not my awesome news though.
I'll give you a little background. I was a size 20, barely when i started dieting right after Labor Day. I was probably more like a 22 but so far in denial that i didn't buy clothes that big! I hated shopping... i cried each and everytime i went to the store and was lucky to find 1 thing to fit. Well, Monday i went shopping with my mom and sister because my jeans were too big and were a pain to wear. They were a size 18... a size that's hard to find anywhere but plus size sections. Well, Monday was a new day and shopping was finally fun again. I tried on goo gobbs of clothes all from the 'regular' size section at JCPenneys. I bought a pair of jeans and a pair of khakis in size 16 and get this a pair of jeans in size 14!   Believe me i was shocked too. I definitely bought those! I also bought 2 shirts in size Medium instead of XL! My self esteem was on cloud nine, let me tell ya! Well, many of you know that i have a cruise coming up soon and i was hoping to be into the clothes i have had boxed away for many years. Well, after the success i had on Monday i had dh pull the box out of the basement last night and i was praying that i wouldn't be disappointed! Shockingly, almost everything in size 16 and 14 fit! Now don't get me wrong, just because i can button them and still breath doesn't mean i'd wear them out into public but with 6 weeks left to go and only an inch or two left to lose before those capris are a perfect fit i am more motivated than ever! I am 2 pairs of capris, 2 dresses (1 dress is a size 12!), and many many many size Medium shirts richer! I have everything stacked in my bedroom ready to be packed and i can't wait to go on our trip now if for no other reason than to wear clothes that haven't seen the light of day in 3 years!
Getting back into clothes that i loved and haven't been able to wear in so long is the best feeling in the entire world! I still have over 40 lbs to lose but i am thrilled to be where i am and wanted to share the success with you. All of you keep me accountable and i am so thankful to have you.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are over now so we all need to get back on the wagon. I'm totally going to be steering the sucker i am so motivated!
Only 40 days until my cruise.
Keep up the good work and i expect to hear other success stories!

Wait, don't delete me. I thought I posted that I would be out of town for most of the month...Today is seriously only the 3rd day I have been at home since Dec 10.
So, my final weigh in is 134.5 for a total loss of 2 lbs. I've still got 8 more to go, so I'll be in the Valentines Day one too.
Sorry to have been MIA this challenge.

:D UPDATED TO HERE!:D
boilermaker, sorry about the almost deletion. I knew when i posted that message that a few people had posted exceptions. We didn't have a system in place for that though. I made a note at the end of your profile and that's what we'll do from now on for people that are going to participate but can't necessarily check in each week. I'm going to move you forward to C5 as well. Great job on the weight loss! Keep it up!

Hi! Sorry I fell off the radar. I hit a nasty plateau and then I went on my whirlwhind Christmas tour. I'm currently still at my ILs, and haven't been near my own scale since Dec. 20th. No idea where I am for the next challenge (and won't be back to my scale til the 2nd), but I'm definitely in. I can re- fill out the thing if I need to.
Congrats to all the losers and here's to a healthy new year!
