I am on the hunt for a cute laptop bag. I have a black one that I don't like very much - I want polka dots or stripes or pink or green - anything but the one I have now!

The problem? I have a 17" screen and every cute laptop bag is made for 15" screens. Any suggestions?

You need an Acme bag: http://www.acmemade.com/thedesignerslim.html

They have several sizes of bags and even list various laptops that will fit in each size. Plus, they are super cute!

Hey Emilie.

I saw this one at the mall this weekend. It might work for you. All the other cute ones only held up to 15".

Oh, my suggestion is boring. Get the Acme bag!!!

OK now I'm doubting my suggestion. The website shows the XL bag is 17.7 inches wide. It could be a snug fit, but I'd definitely measure and try - they are the cutest bags I've ever seen for a laptop.

Have you looked at ebags.com? I'm not sure how many bags they have that fit 17" laptops, but they do have a section of "laptop bags for women" that are cute.

I loved the Acme bags but couldn't justify the price for myself.

I have the eBags Pick Pink 17" Horizontal Laptop Protector
(http://www.ebags.com/ebags/pick_pink_17_horizontal_laptop_protector/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=58996) from ebags.

I like it. It stands out in my enginerd landscape of gray cubicles. It is really pink, though.

It's only $25, which was also a big factor in my purchasing it. I only take it to/from work in my car, I'm not really carrying it around in public (I don't consider work public), so I didn't want to spend big bucks. :D

I'm going to suggest ebags.com as well. They have a whole section for larger ones (http://www.ebags.com/business_cases/laptop_cases/fits_17_screen/category_search/index.cfm?Ne=100&N=4001+20014130) as well as a section for "woman's" bags (http://www.ebags.com/business_cases/laptop_cases/cases_for_women/category_search/index.cfm?Ne=100&N=4001+2006683). There are quite a few cute ones out there and I really regret that when we bought mine, we got a boring Jansport one - not fun and girlie at all :(

Not as "girly", but funky and they have lots of bags that accommodate larger laptops since it's a big Mac site.

I have this one from Target (they also come in Solid Pink, and black):

I bought mine when I got my new Mac Powerbook and needed a bag quick for a trip. It only cost $25 and I am *really* pleased/surprised at how it's been holding up. In fact, I like it better than the expensive bag I got for my Dell.

I'd really suggest checking out Target's website. They have around 11 pages of just laptop bags that range in price from $25 - $200 and they are actually really nice.

I've actually seen some very cute ones in Best Buy recently. It looks like they carry Liz Claiborne (http://www.bestbuy.com/site//olspage.jsp?id=pcat17080&type=page&qp=crootcategoryid%23%23-1%23%23-1~~q70726f63657373696e6774696d653a3e313930302d3031 2d3031~~cabcat0500000%23%230%23%2311a~~cabcat05150 00%23%230%23%239e~~cabcat0515025%23%230%23%231b~~n f398%7C%7C4c697a20436c6169626f726e65&sc=abComputerSP&sp=%2Bbrand+skuid&usc=abcat0500000). I don't see the ones online that I've seen in store, which IMO are cuter yet.

Crate and Barrel of all places had some cute ones last time I was there.

This summer I got a cute one at Marshalls.
