Gender - I always thought I'd have to have a girl at some point, but I just LOVE having a little boy. In fact, I'd love another one. :) At this rate, I'd just be happy for a healthy pregnancy, so gender doesn't matter in the least.

Anyone trying for a certain gender? Just curious. We'd love a girl, but will be THRILLED with whatever. How bout you all?

No, don't care what gender we have, just want a healthy baby!

Gender~ It really and truly doesn't matter, I would love to have another little girl so DD would have a sister, but a boy would be great so we'd have one of each since we're not sure if we want more than 2 kids.

AF showed up a day early today which is fine, that's just a day sooner that we can start TTC!

jenzen~ Welcome:)

marathongirl~ Sorry about BFN, it's so frustrating. It's not over until AF sings...

Jenzen-Hello, there!

marathongirl-Gosh I hope you get a great big blazing line in a couple of days!

Haven't checked in for a long time. 9W1D! Horray! I am not feeling great and, let me tell you, it is alot easier to deal with m/s laying on the couch rather than taking care of a toddler. Ah, the joys of #2. I am not complaining though! I am so happy to be pg!

QOTD-I have such strong feelings on the gender of this one. I am almost positive it is another girl. Personally, I would be happy with either. Another girl would be great. I had a sister and we are best friends. (Plus we have so many cute girl clothes!) I do think it would be cool for DH to get a son though. Time will tell!

Oh ladies - I got a light bfp this morning! :D My EDD according to TCOYF is 10/1/2006. I need to convince my OB that that should be my EDD, since I didn't O until CD25. If you go by the doctor's pregnancy wheel, they would give me an EDD of 9/22. DD will be 2 years and 2 weeks older than baby. I know I said I wished it would 'just happen' and I'd get PG w/o trying, but holy cow, I need to be careful what I wish for. I've run the whole spectrum of emotions already this morning and it's only 6:50am. Now we *really* need to get DD to STTN!

Gender - right now, I think this one will be a boy. I don't really care - just healthy. It would be nice to have 2 girls b/c I am very close to my sister, but I'm sure DH would be overjoyed with a son.

marathongirl COngrats!! Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy!
I o'ed on CD 21 of my last cycle, so I actually adjusted my CD1 date to be 2 weeks before I o'ed. It's just too aggravating trying to convince the dr. that you o'ed later.

Marathongirl-CONGRATS!!!!

Us: Well, fluids are looking good, so this weekend we'll start working on baby #2. I'm still very nervous about money and temperment and everything else, but you have to do what you have to do! :) Wish us luck in 2 weeks!

Good luck to all those who are trying now and soon!

I am now 11w2d, and I am feeling pretty good, but I am going to make a run to Old Navy for some clothes. Mine just aren't fitting right now!

Gotta go, being pulled on by my toddler...

Congratulations, Marathongirl! What exciting news! I agree with Dawny that you should tell your doctor the CD1 (or date of last period) that gives the correct EDD. Many doctors don't adjust EDDs regardless of charting dates being more accurate; mine didn't, anyway. I actually had a problem towards the end because my doctor was pushing for an induction when I knew that my actual EDD, according to my chart, was still at least four days away. Good luck!!

duke'sflygirl, thanks for checking in! I can't believe you're already 11 weeks! Time flies, huh? :)

*********

Well, after the stomach bug I had this weekend lingered into the week, I decided that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to TTC until we were settled into our new house. I was nauseated several mornings this week and couldn't imagine functioning with morning sickness while trying to do all that we need to do. So I guess we're just "seeing what happens" until we move.

duke'sflygirl Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for all the well-wishes! I'll probably test again tomorrow just to make sure before calling my OB. We're still trying to let this sink in, so we're not telling anyone IRL for a while. It was tough yesterday b/c my parents were up and I desperately wanted to spill the beans.

Dawny & bluebunny - yes, I probably will 'amend' my CD1 date so I don't have issues later on. DD's birth was intervention-free and I'd like to keep this one the same. She was only 3 days late.

Congratulations marathongirl!!!

We are still on the path now of TTC - I am doing the ovulation tests and got a darker line than normal so I will probably O today or tomorrow - we will have to see. I might start reading up on charting if this month isn't the month.

Hope you are all well!!!

Marathongirl Congrats!

I haven't been here for awhile. Nothing going on. I went to the OB/GYN to check on why I was spotting, had to do a sonohysterogram and they found a polyp, but thank goodness there is no need, at the moment, to have it removed, hopefully it will go away on its own.

My cycles seem so long. I am still waiting for O and it is now CD23  Before DD O got earlier with each cycle until I got pregnant on cycle #3 when I O'd on CD17. I'm wondering if the sonohysterogram could have caused O to delay?? Dr. said if after 3-4 cycles nothing has happened then we can try Clomid to see if it would make me O earlier. I'm thinking that if I don't O soon, and next cycle is long, I'm going to ask to start earlier.

Jenzen01

Congrats, marathongirl!

And thanks for all the welcomes!

Silly question for all of you ... for those of you already preggers with No.2, did you have sore breasts the second time? I'm just wondering about this because I was really sore with Gabe and had nothing with my second pregnancy, which I lost. I'm just wondering if after a year of breastfeeding, it's impossible for my breasts to have any feeling of if the lack of sore breasts was just a symptom of a doomed pregnancy. :) Just wondering ...

Drive-by for Jen --

My bbs haven't hurt one bit this time around; they hurt somewhat with DD. My OB said it doesn't mean anything, and could indeed be the result of recent BFing. HTH!

ajlanden
01-26-2006, 01:04 PM
Another drive-by...my bbs have been sore with all three pregncies. With DD, with the MC and are sore with this one. Just a side note, I only b/f for six weeks. Maybe that makes a difference?

dzmattie
01-26-2006, 06:47 PM
Checking in here - O'd on CD18 - hoping that doesn't mean I am headed for an incredibly long cycle this month. Or hoping for a BFP - I will wait a week and then test - we shall see....:D :D

lady1297
01-26-2006, 07:25 PM
Is ovulation on cycle day 11 or so normal? I have misplaced my old charts and it seems that is when I O'd this month. It seems early for some reason. Typical cycles are usually around 32-36 days long, if I recall...

marathongirl
01-27-2006, 09:27 AM
Jenzen - I had sore boobs for about the first 8 weeks with DD. This time, nothing. We are still nursing, so there's some discomfort then, but that's about it. I'd actually be happy for any symptoms at this point, even knowing that I was really symptom-free with DD too.

Jenzen01
01-27-2006, 01:28 PM
Thanks for the replies to my question ... that makes me feel better.

lady1297 - When I got preggers with Gabe, I Od on Day 11. That's early, but fine. The average is supposedly cd14.

I'm in the 2WW. 4DPO. May the next week go quickly and result in good things. :)

marathongirl - When I got pregnant in Sept, I was still nursing Gabe. The nurse told me to consume 800 extra calories to keep up with it all!! I had never been so tired in all my life. Being pregnant and nursing is such a drain on your body, so take care and pack in those calories (although something tell me 800 calories is excessive).

dzmattie
01-27-2006, 07:01 PM
I think "most" people ovulate on day 14....that is what I thought - I did on day 18 and was surprised. But nothing is regular on me lately....

So - how many DPO do you think I can test? I forget all this...I know the tests say 5 days before your expected period date....anyone ever get a positive sooner? I am anxious - can you tell??

Abby'sMom
01-28-2006, 09:19 AM
dz - good luck! i got a bfp on 9 or 10 DPO. So it's possible if you implant earlier than later. (Some don't even implant til 12 DPO.) But, I'll put on my practical hat for a sec and remind you that it's probably better to just wait til AF is late. ;) Less heartache if (Lord forbid) you should have a chem pg.

dzmattie
01-29-2006, 12:09 PM
Thanks Abby'sMom - do you know I had never heard of chemical pregnancy? After you mentioned it I just looked it up - definitely a good reason not to test too early. Thanks for telling me about that. You would think I would have heard of that before!

Anyone have any updates? How are you all doing?

I am at DPO 8 - trying to decide if I should test tomorrow or wait till the weekend....

I am peeing constantly even waking in the night - for the last few days. I am nausous and craving peanut butter and cheddar cheese. Weird - could all be in my head....

lady1297
02-01-2006, 04:32 AM
Yeah, I'm debating how soon to test too. I'm DPO 13 I think (Have to look at the calendar downstairs!). I guess this weekend? WIll pick up the tests today, though so I don't know if I can restrain myself! I tested last weekend because I just couldn't wait! DH laughed his butt of for that one! Symptoms: slight, slight, slight nipple sensitivity, tired, and being a cleaning freak (but that is normal for htis time of the month, but was also very normal during my whole pregnancy with DS!) So we shall see!

Sounds like we've got a lot of testing going on here soon. It would be fun if we were all in the Oct thread together:) This week is the bd marathon, I took an OPK yesterday and the lines were just shy of being equal in darkness so we covered our bases and will again tonight. I showed dh the opk and explained it to him and he says, "so basically we have sex based on what that plastic thing says?" Yea, pretty much!

Good luck to the testers:D

tinkerbelljenny
02-01-2006, 11:03 AM
Can someone answer a question for me about the o tests that I am taking. Can I still get pregnant even if the lines don't line up? The tests are just to tell me when the best time to get pregnant are right?

Jenzen01
02-01-2006, 12:28 PM
tinkerbelljenny - the tests give you a good indicator of when you're going to ovulate. the line gets really dark when your body has an LH surge, which is the last hormone to peak before you ovulate. ovulation usually happens 24 to 36 hours after the surge. that's why the tests predict the best time to get pregnant. however, it is possible to miss the surge because it can last for less than 24 hours.

so, you can ovulate without getting a positive test, and therefore, you can get pregnant.

tinkerbelljenny
02-01-2006, 03:06 PM
Thanks Jenzen for answering my question!

however, it is possible to miss the surge because it can last for less than 24 hours.

This is kind of depressing! I hope this doesn't happen to me.

Tinkerbell I hope you two catch that egg this month!

marathon How are you feeling?

AJ how'd the appointment go?

I'm just waiting for AF to show. Still probably a week out. But, I ovulate between 8-14 days, usually closer to 10-12. So we shouldn't have to wait too long to give it a go. We just have to figure out how to BD since DS is still sleeping in our room ~ half of the time in his crib, half the time stuck to my side like glue. blech. At least we are sleeping alittle better.

Hi everyone! I've been reading your thread for a while now and thought I should just join you since we're TTC #2. We started trying again last month - unsuccessfully - so we're on to month 2. With our first son we got pg in our third month of trying... so we'll see what fate brings us this time. :)

stats:
me: age 36
dh: age 31
married: 4/26/03
ds: 9/30/04

Sex of next child - I don't really have a preference. I always wanted a boy, and got a beautiful son for my first! I do love buying girl clothes for my little neice... and we have a girl name picked out from the first pregnancy. But having brothers who (hopefully) would be best buddies is also appealing. So in other words... I have no clue.

Happy healthy 9 months to all of those pregnant already!! Fingers crossed for the rest of us! :D

Man, this is the place to be! Congrats to Jenzen and dzmattie (I told ya not to test too early! ;) ), and I think I missed Marathon a while ago. I'm sorry if there's someone else I missed too! This place is on fire.

Picking up a toddler: Abby weighs about 23 pounds right now I think; I'll find out for sure at her WBV on Wednesday. My OB knows I'm a SAHM and said nothing about picking her up being bad. I haven't been picking her up much at all because I feel like crap most of the time and the extra strain makes me feel like I'm going to hurl, but I don't think it's a problem. Those little babies are pretty snug in-utero!

Aside from feeling icky, we're doing all right. We're at 13w 4d now. I got a doppler yesterday and nearly had a fit because I couldn't find the baby. (We'd heard him or her at the OB's office at 12w 2d.) After an hour of intermittent searching (search, stop, cry, breathe, repeat), I finally found what sounded like the h/b, fast and galloping, but then it disappeared again after 3 seconds. I also heard little thumping noises, so I think he/she didn't like the probe so much. Just a comment about dopplers -- it was awesome when I had it with DD because I always found her right away and she never moved much. Plus I had an anterior placenta that limited what I could feel so it was a nice security blanket. Since I was so used to finding Abby easily, I freaked out when I couldn't find this one too. One difference I noticed when I really looked it over is that this one is a 3MHz rather than a 2. I'm in no way overweight (they say that 3s work better for everyone who isn't overweight), and it didn't work well at all. I'm kind of pissed off that I wasted the money and wish I could get a 2MHz one instead.

My point: If you rented a doppler with DC#1 and had an easy time finding him or her, don't panic if you don't have the same experience with #2. I wish someone had said that to me as I was panicking myself into an asthma attack.

As for me, my tests are still rather light. Definite, but light. I'm 14DPO today, so I thought I would get a stellar test this morning. Nope. Plus, I had some brown spotting yesterday.

So, I went in for a beta this morning. Now, to wait ...

Oh, and for anyone who even thinks about testing at 2 a.m., don't do it. :) I got up on Saturday at 2, thinking I would take the test and have a nice bold line so I could fall back asleep. It was super, super faint, so I tossed and turned for the next three hours before getting up.

Jenzen~ Congrats, that's great news:)

Nutter~ Don't lose hope yet, it still may be early to get a bfp.

I'll probably test next Friday or Saturday. A couple of very weird things have happened, yesterday the lady in the office next to mine came over and said she had a dream last night that I was pg and it was a boy and had red hair like my DD. That's really strange because we haven't told anyone that we are TTC this month. I told her that maybe she knows something I don't! And then this morning my alarm went off and I was laying in bed but had to quickly jump up and run to the bathroom because my nose started bleeding. Our heat has been running all the time since it's so cold out so my house is really dry so I'm sure the nose bleed was from that and not a super early pg symptom....

AF came 2 days ago. Won't be long now! I actually broke down and bought a new BBT thermometer. Trying super hard not to get obsessed with this, but I figure if it doesn't happen this month then being able to pinpoint O with a temperature rise may halp us a little more next month. I really want to go off of CM only but I really don't want to think we timed it right and actually didn't.

nutter I agree with Kerrykate, it may be a bit too early to test. Fingers crossed for you. :)

Well, CP is looking good for tonight...how cool would it be to have a V-day conception? DH goes out of town tomorrow. We went for it last night, just cause we wanted too, but that throws off the CM. So, we'll give tonight the ole college try and see what happens...

Happy V-day everyone!

Very scary to post over here, but I think I'm ready. I just had DD in September but because of my age (36) we don't want to wait long to start trying for #2. I would like a baby born next year, so I think we are going to start trying in April (that would give me a January baby, right?) I'm really hoping to get pg within about 6 months of that date and have the baby sometime between January and July of next year. My work is extremely busy in August - November and taking time off last year at that time was hard. Hopefully my body with cooperate and we'll get pg in just a few months. With a 4.5 month old baby, I think I'm crazy!

I am still BFing my DD. I am trying to make it to 6 months, which will put me right about the April timeframe. I have only had one very light AF last month. I'm hoping everything gets back on track soon.

I look forward to sharing the experiences with all of you.

lady1297, hope this is it and you won't have to worry about next month's timing!!

Bucktown, good luck this month!

As for me, I'm confused. My last AF was December 28. I'm pretty sure (almost 99%) I'm not pregnant because timing was off in January. (Not that I'm charting but I just KNOW). My first post-partum AF was in November so I guess AF just isn't back on track, yet? Or else it's delayed due to stress? any ideas?

Bucktown
02-15-2006, 07:06 PM
Bluebunny TEST!!! :)

I was unable to BF so AF came back to normal within 6 weeks so I have no idea. I have heard of many women getting pg though during the 'regulating' time. I would test.

bluebunny
02-15-2006, 07:31 PM
Bucktown, I hate testing, I really do. I hate the drama of it. I hate the anticipation and the pit in my stomach when I'm hoping for a positive but trying to be rational about the possibility of a negative. When I tested positive with DS, I tested a day AFTER AF was expected. That's almost unheard of here. ;)
I really, really don't think I'm pregnant. There's almost zero chance. I got a stomach bug in January that killed any chance of BD for 3-4 days. And then a lot of stress with trying to get our house on the market, finding a daycare for DS, grandma having major surgery, etc. I think it's probably stress rather than pregnancy. Oh well. If AF doesn't show in a week maybe I will. :o

Welcome to the other newbies - Brink, mom_to_zoe and HGMorgann!!
I'm only on my 2nd month of TTC #2 and a newbie here myself.

I'm officially in my 2WW, but I don't think it's going to be our month. We got in a couple bd sessions on the early side of my fertile time. Unfortunately, my Grandmother had been in the hospital and took a turn for the worse, so I then flew to Texas to be with her during prime TTC days. It put things into perspective. We can always try again next month and I'm glad I got to spend my Grandmas last days with her. Needless to say, it's been a stressfull week and a half. I told DH that if we do get pregnant this month it will mean my Grandma pulled a few strings. :)

I'll be hanging around and hoping to get some of that baby dust that's flying around.

Thanks for the welcomes!

So do you all find yourselves a lot more laid back about TTC #2? I do. We had IF issues with DD, but this time, its just like its okay. I know someday we will have another one. I have had regular periods since 4 mo. PP, and we haven't prevented (though some months we avoided duirng O time). But its really not been a big deal when AF comes on the months we "try". Does that make sense?

bluebunny
02-18-2006, 06:29 AM
HGMorgann, I haven't been laid back about #2. I think it's because I have in my mind that there's an "ideal" spacing between kids and I'm worried we won't achieve that. It's silly, I know, but that's my issue. I also worry because I had a m/c prior to DS and while I've been told it won't increase my chances of having another m/c, I just don't know if I can handle another one.

QOTD: Anyone want to avoid a December baby?

I'd rather not have a December baby because of having to juggle a birthday around Christmas. My sister has a December birthday close to Christmas and I feel like she got cheated sometimes--birthday gifts wrapped in Christmas paper, combined Christmas/birthday gifts, small parties because families were away for the holiday break, etc. With that said, I won't skip March to prevent a December baby because I'll take a baby whenever I can get one. :D

Brink
02-18-2006, 09:01 AM
QOTD - Part of the reason we are waiting until April to TTC is so that we won't have a December baby. If we were in the middle of trying, we wouldn't have stopped for a month, but since we are just beginning, I figured we would wait one more month. I too feel kids born in December get a little forgotten around the holidays. I was a January baby and sometimes had my gifts combined with Christmas, but at least my party wasn't a hassle because everyone was pre-occupied with the holidays. Again, if we were in the middle of TTC we wouldn't stop, I would be thrilled to be pg.

QOTD: Anyone want to avoid a December baby?

I've said I want to avoid Dec. But in reality, if that's when it happens that's great too. I guess I'm now past the point of caring when.

That said, we are in the 2WW phase again. We really did a great job this time trying! :D We'll see in a 2 weeks if it was successful, but we already know it was worth the effort! hehe!!:D :D

Chiming in a little late here, but I was away for the long weekend. :D

I am definitely more relaxed about TTC this time around. If it takes us a few months, I will be fine with that. I think it is because I am kind of ambivalent about a second baby. Don't get me wrong, I definitely want another baby and I want Zoe to have a sibling. But I also sometimes feel a little conflicted about it because thing are so magical right now with just the three of us and I worry that I won't love another baby as much as I love Zoe. Silly, I know, but there it is. I think a few months of TTC might increase my desire for that second baby.

QOTDAnyone want to avoid a December baby? Kind of. My concern is a little different. We spend Christmas with my family in another city and I am worried about having a little baby and not being able to travel to my parents' house for Christmas. I would be sad to miss that. But otherwise, it doesn't bother me. The real issue will be if we get pregnant in April, because I would probably be too pregnant to fly to my parents' house for Xmas.

QOTDAnyone want to avoid a December baby?

This coming from a December Mommy. I loved having a baby in December. It is such a festive time of year AND no one will ever forget that her b-day is around Christmas. I can totally understand wanting to avoid it for the kid's sake, but honestly, I think it just makes the holiday's that much more special for her and for us.
It was also nice because after her birth we had a lot of family around to help. I got more naps that way!

Hey ladies! I'd love to join this party. :D DH and I are actively "seeing what happens" - we haven't avoided since September and are slowly starting to wonder what is going on... We got pregnant a LOT easier than this with DD. ;) Here's my stats:

Name: Neenbean (30)
Married: 11/15/03
DD #1: C. 3/19/05
TTC#2: since 9/05

QOTD: At this point, we could care less about when #2 arrives. We normally travel for the holidays, but if we have a November, December or January baby we will be staying put here. DH and I are ready to be home for the first Christmas in our relationship in our OWN home. ;) With my current cycles, our baby would be born early in the month and I would have a scheduled c-section, so I know their actual birthdate would not be on a holiday. :p

With all this said, I am testing this weekend. :D I am having some symptoms- sore BBs, weird cravings, so tired... you know the deal. I am just hoping this is it because I am so sick of AF!

Bucktown

5 DPO here. Really trying to relax but having a difficult time. I'm thinking myself into pg symptoms. errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Dec baby: Doesn't matter to us either. MIL's b-day is 12/24 and she is super sensitive about it. At 60 yrs old she is still demanding separate gifts, b-day wrapping only, a separate b-day card & a cake with NO holiday decorations. I guess she was slighted as a child. If we miss this month, next month would put us around the beginning of Dec & I too will be having a scheduled c-section. My mom's b-day is 12/3 so maybe I'll schedule it then & give that to her as a b-day prezzie! ;)

Sorry you're having a rough day lady1297. Hopefully we'll be sharing announcements next week!

I was talking to my playgroup today and they got me so hopeful that I went out and bought a bunch of tests at the Dollar Store. Needless to say, I got a BFN, but I am only CD27, with a potential of being 9DPO or more (provided I O'd when I normally do), so I will hopefully test again tomorrow or maybe even Friday. Well, I was expecting AF to arrive on the 20th and nothing. I know I am not pg since DH and I haven't DTD in a month! We are still so busy with our 5 month old that finding time is an issue. Plus, we really are not going to try and start until April. But, I was really hoping that my cycles would start to regulate so we can be productive in April. I'm still BFing my little one so maybe that has something to do with it. I was extremely regular before, so I'm hoping it will return. I'll just have to be a little more patient.

QOTDAnyone want to avoid a December baby?

I would love a December baby! We are suppose to go to my mom's for Christmas this year and I have been so excited to spend it at her place this year but if we can't go because I am too pregnant or I am giving birth then that is fine, we just want another baby so when ever that happens is fine with us.

AF finally left so the bd will begin soon!

katnbug

neenbeen- Sorry to hear about AF. That witch!!

brink- I BF DS for 11 months  and I didn't even get my first AF until 7 months after he was born. Before DS I was VERY regular with AF arriving every 27 days. After DS my cycles ranged anywhere from 27 to 29 days... So in my experience you may not regulate for quite a while. We just picked a wide range and tried to BD as many times as possible during that period.

lady- I'm not sure a test would work yet for you, but maybe early next week. I know there are the early tests that can work 5 days before AF is due. I'm not very patient either, so I understand!!

bluebunny
02-24-2006, 06:29 AM
Congrats katnbug! Let me know if you want me to add an EDD to your stats. :)

neenbean, sorry about AF.

Brink, I'm in the same situation: still BF, waiting for AF to regulate. My first PP AF was in November and then another in December but so far, not again. And, like you, I'm fairly positive I'm not pregnant. Maybe April will be our month.

lady1297, I hate testing so I was reluctant to test early and get a negative. I always waited until AF was due before testing. If you want to test earlier, I think First Response is one that you can test at least 5 days before AF is due. Maybe others will know what tests are reliable that early.

lady1297
02-24-2006, 08:20 AM
Thanks everyone...I couldn't stop myself last night and got the expected negative. So, I'm still hopeful (we couldn't have tried harder-not enough hours in the day!), so I'll try again next Tuesday or so with First Response (my personal fav. test!)

Well, I don't know what happened here. I just got AF on CD16. :( I'm totally bummed out. Not only because of the unknown reason for a SUPER early AF arrival but because I planned our Salt Lake trip (without DH) during the non-fertile time based on if I got a BFN this month. Now I'll be there during my entire fertile time.

Totally suxs. Guess we'll be waiting till April

bluebunny
02-24-2006, 09:13 AM
lady, sorry about BFN. There's still hope, though!!

Bucktown, that sucks! It's frustrating not knowing what's going on with your cycle, isn't it? :(

What really gets me about this whole TTC thing is that there are people out there who get pregnant accidentally. I don't get it. I saw a couple in the mall yesterday with an 18-day old baby (we asked) and they couldn't have been a day older than 17, and that's being generous. It's hard to see some people can get pregnant so easily while others struggle. I know we got pregnant pretty quickly with DS (within three months) but as all of you know, any time while charting and trying to conceive seems like forever. :)

neenbean
02-24-2006, 09:14 AM
Bucktown- that is super weird about AF arriving so early. Is it a possible MC? I know you got a BFN, but maybe things still happened? Also, is it light enough just to be mid-cycle spotting? I wish you all the best!!! ((hugs))

As far as testing... I tend to test at 12 DPO, sometimes earlier, but I only use the cheap Dollar Store tests, which they say work with just 10m HcG or what ever the measurement is. So far, obviously all were BFNs, but with DD I tested the day after AF was due- probably 14 DPO, but I can't remember exactly. I just didn't believe I was pregnant- I am so totally clueless. ;)

Bucktown
02-24-2006, 09:19 AM
Bluebunny I'm with you on that statement! We got pg with DS on the 2nd cycle and we felt fortunate, no doubt about that! But then came my diagnosis of thyroid cancer, then the thyroid removed (April 05). Since after DS was born I've been keeping track of my cycles I noticed that the past now 3 cycles my AF's are coming around CD26-O happening around CD9-10. This could very well be my first annovulatory cycle even though the temps indicated it did happen? errrrrrrrrrrrrr. Today I experienced my first breakdown of seeing AF due to the circumstances around it. Hopefully it will be the last.

Bucktown
02-24-2006, 09:23 AM
Neen I never got around to test. I was only 7DPO today. No, it's definitely heavier than mid-cycle spotting. At first I was hoping for implantation spotting, but now I've resigned myself to accepting it as AF. My temp took a HUGE drop this morning which I thought was very wierd but hoped it was implantation dip since it happened when I was pg with DS.

I too don't test till 12DPO. Still too much disappointment!

After Friday the bleeding got much worse. I had horrible cramps which I haven't felt since before DS was conceived. TMI too: I've had gross amounts of clots that are absolutely huge.

So when does this become a call to the doc? When is there cause for concern? This is definitely NOT like my usual AF's. It's showing no signs of stopping either. :(

That sounds exactly like the 2nd and 3rd days of my AF ever since I stopped BFing DD. I am cramping and feel so uncomfortable for 5 days or so... It was way better pre-pregnancy. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!!!!

I would call your doc today it the clotting continues, even if they are not golf-ball size. Worse case, they will say you are over-reacting, but hopefully they will take this seriously and either have you come in or at the very least explain what is most likely happening. Good luck Bucktown!!!

Bluebunny, no period for 2 months and still a BFN?! That is odd. Are you certain you ovulated yet? Have your cycles ever been irregular (before or after your pregnancy)? Totally bites not knowing what is happening. Are you still BFing?

bluebunny
02-28-2006, 09:55 AM
neenbean, yes, I'm still BFing. I got my first PP AF in November and then another in December so I thought I was back on track and now nothing since. I wish I had started charting so that I could tell if I was ovulating or not. Unfortunately, since DS wakes several times a night, I'm not sure how accurate a temp would be anyway. Prior to pregnancy, my periods were always regular. I only had one crazy long cycle and that was right after my miscarriage. Other than that, I've always been like clockwork.

Bucktown
02-28-2006, 12:12 PM
Thanks ladies for you input. I was prepared for a train wreck when I woke up this morning but it was like the faucet was turned off. Hardly no bleeding to this point & no more clots. Ummmmmmmm, yeah, I would say I birthed a few golf balls over the past few days ;) . That was gross :D . I see my endo on Thursday so I'll ask him what the heck is going on & if my thyroid meds are too high. Very aggravating when you are actively TTC.

Wow, bluebunny, I've heard AF's get a bit off while BF-ing but to get it then not? Has your DS been increasing his intake recently?

Anything (BFP?) yet lady1297?

bluebunny
02-28-2006, 02:24 PM
Bucktown, glad to hear it stopped. I'd definitely ask your doctor about it anyway. As for me, I really don't have an explanation. I don't think DS has increased his nursing at all. I can't think of anything different that would explain it. sigh. It's just frustrating.

On another note, anyone with GOOD news?? :)

Bucktown-I'm still waiting to test again. DH asked last night if I had. I may run out this morning to get a test (need a few other groceries anyway) and test tomorrow (well, honestly, tonight probably since I totally have zero selfcontrol when pregnancy tests are laying around!). I'd love to know so I can run out and get Edward his "Big Brother" T-shirt!! I decided that is how I will tell everyone. Just stick it on him and see who notices!

Just stick it on him and see who notices!I have the same plan! :p My friends know we are TTC, so I am sure they would notice IMMEDIATELY. Sorry to hear you are still getting a BFN. :(

bluebunny~ that totally stinks. are they any books or research that talk about this happening? I weaned DD and AF arrived promptly 2 weeks later and has been arriving every 26-31 days ever since... Much to my disappointment, BTW. Maybe buy some OPKs and begin testing. At least you would know if you O anytime in the future... Just a thought since charting really would not work effectively with all of your night wakings. Good luck!

Any word, lady?

Well, AF finally arrived after two months. :( I'm remaining hopeful that I'll be back on track after this. Would love to get a BFP soon. I just out that someone I work with is pregnant with her second. Her children will be 14 months apart. This pregnancy was not planned and she's having a hard time dealing with it. Surprisingly, I'm not jealous. :) A month ago I would have been but I'm a little more laid back today.

DS & I are off to Salt Lake in 5 hours. I'm a bit hopefully that maybe we have some sort of shot this month. This morning lots of EWCM so we took advantage. I suppose the 2WW will be occupied so I don't wonder too much. At the same time I'm just thinking we missed out this month and that's ok too.

Sorry to hear Lady about AF. :(

Bluebunny, I'm glad AF showed so now you can get back to a normal cycle.

AF arrived yesterday. :( This month, i do believe DH will be out of town during fertile phase, so I'm not too hopeful. But I think I will direct my energy to losing some weight between now and April. It will give me focus and that is a good thing!
Yipee Bluebunny!

TTC: hopefully this summer!

I have the baby bug big time and desperately want to start trying for another this summer. Ava just potty trained last week and DH thinks that I only want another because she is now completely out of the baby phase. Little does he know, I've wanted another for a while now. We're at a good place financially and I think that Ava is at a great age to be a big sister. We've agreed to think about it for a while and then talk about it seriously this summer. Ideally, I'd be pregnant by Christmas.

Welcome Lauren! I'll add your stats to page 1. :)

Thanks for the support, Bucktown, neenbean, and lady! :) I'm hopeful this month!

Well, not much new here. I've gotten a little more laid back about TTC. I think I was so set on the idea of 24-26 month spacing between two kids that I was not seeing the big picture. I mean, does it really matter if they are 24 or 28 months apart, for example? I've just been praying that we will get our next little one in the right time. ;)

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I've just been praying that we will get our next little one in the right time. ;)

Thank you!!! I really need to remember this when I get down about things: #2 will arrive when they are meant to arrive- I just have a very hard time being patient. :o DD was a semi-surprise (we thought TTC would take a heck of a lot longer). However, having a 2nd child is not as easy as we "planned". We were hoping for 18+/- months between our kids, but as we approach DD's 1st birthday (next Sunday), I am not feeling really confident that this is our month again. <shrug>

Remembering how thankful I am for a really wonderful daughter that brightens every moment of my life. :)

bluebunny-I'm totally with you. I was so hell bent that we'd be pregnant by now that I lost focus. Now that I have to wait (DH will be out of town this month) I'm realizing that the important thing is that we want and will wait for our next child. Our situation was the same as neenbean-DS was planned, but not expected as quickly as he came along, we were 2 months earlier than we thought we'd be. We figured that would happen again with #2. So, we go into the next month figuring when it happens it happens. In fact, I just got done scheduling a massage for May. Of course, I'm okay if I have to cancel (they won't do a massage in the first trimester). But if not, I get a massage! :)

lauren f s Welcome!

Bluebunny & lady So sorry about that witch showing up, geesh, can't she get the hint that none of us want her back!!

Bucktown My AF's have been like that since I got it back pp. Isn't it horrible!! I was soaking through pad, tampons and clothing the 1st few days and then bam, hardly anything.

Well ladies I figure I would come update with some good news.

I got it yesterday, very nervous but excited. We shall see what happens since this is cycle #2 after the D&C. I don't intend on going to the dr till 7-8 weeks as the last time going every week to check things out was just to stressful, that rollercoaster. So I figure I will assume everything is OK and see then.

03-14-2006, 10:53 AM
Congrats jeggink! Sure is a pretty line!

We're back from our visit and had a nice time. I'm 8 DPO today and anxiously awaiting test day. I think I'll wait till 12 DPO just because of last time. Interesting story though; our flight was suppose to leave last Sunday (CD10) & I was bummed that we wouldn't even have a shot because I usually O between CD10-12 & my temp hadn't jumped yet. We get to the airport & to the gate & they cancel our flight. Normally, I'd be pissed but I was totally thrilled. So, at 4:00am on Monday we got to DTD before I had to leave the house at 4:30am to catch the 6:15am flight. Sure enough, I got my O date for that Monday. :D

But then around 5-6 DPO I started having horrible cramping to where I thought AF was deciding to arrive early again but she hasn't & my temps are still up despite a dip when I had the worst of the cramping. It's hard not to read into things, especially FPS but how can one not???

Anyway, waiting till Saturday AM to test. Or maybe Thursday PM.

Congratulations jeggink - that is wonderful news.

Well, my DD is almost 6 months old and I have still only had one very very light period. That was about 2 months ago. I planned to BF until she is 6 months, so that is just a couple of weeks away. I'm hoping that as soon as I stop, my cycle will return. We were going to start trying next month (April) but we'll see if I even have a chance by then!

Congratulations jeggink! Here's to a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Sorry I haven't been around much, ladies. I am trying not to obsess about TTC and keep my mind on other things, but we all know that only works so well.

I am on CD 17. I am pretty sure I O'ed on Tuesday. DH left town Tuesday morning but we BDed Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. And boy, was I ready for a break after that. ;) So, I am hoping we caught the egg.

My book club met last night and there are two pregnant ladies in it and another one who is TTC, so I definitely was getting excited about the thought of a new baby. Plus, I am so-hosting a baby shower for my pregnant friend, one of the ones who was there last night, so that is lots of fun.

Hope everyone is doing well this week!

WELCOME jmvan74 and jrdhbunny!

I am needing some feedback... I am feeling incredibly nauseated (only goes away when I eat) and tired, but it is only CD24. My cycles vary from 26-31 days, typically 28 though. Should I test?

I normally would have already gone out and bought a bunch as I torture myself every month. However, I promised myself that after doing this for SIX months, I did not need to waste any more $$ on BFNs. :( I think I actually have a Dollar Store test somewhere around here, but am really skeptical that I actually may be preggers. Too many months of FPS. :( However, I am just curious, would you wait until Friday to test (if AF does not appear sooner) or fall for the symptoms and POAS???

Thanks in advance!

Brink
03-20-2006, 01:43 PM
I'm so bad that I would test. I look at the wasted $$ as therapy. I would rather spend the $$ and get the BFN than sit around wondering and reading something into every sign I felt. The month I got my BFP with DD#1, I was doing just that. I was convinced that I was not pg and was taking the test just to prove it to myself so I could focus on the next month.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

HGMorgann
03-20-2006, 07:01 PM
I would test, Neen! Ok, really, I wouldn't cause I am cheap... but I think you should;-)

We totally missed the last cycle b/c we were sick. AF came and went and I should O this weekend. Hoping it works!:) I think we are moving more from "Seeing What Happnes" to seriously TTC soon. I concieved DD using Vitex so I might start that if this cycle is a bust.

neenbean
03-20-2006, 07:30 PM
Thanks Brink and HGMorgann!

I am so torn because I promised myself I would wait until I was late... UGH! Everyone around me thinks I am pregnant anyway because I totally over-reacted to something that happened at MOMS Club earlier today. I didn't freak out or anything, but I got upset about something that normally would be no sweat. I am feeling ditzy and nauseated along with exhausted, but I think I am just adding up all the typical stuff and trying to convince myself that it is OK to test... If I can hold out, I will wait until Wednesday or Thursday, otherwise I may POAS first thing tomorrow........ <sigh> Why do I torture myself?!?

Good luck with this cycle HGM and have fun!!! ;) :p

Well Neen today I took my FOURTH test at 14DPO since I had another high temp this morning and have been nauseated since Sunday night. I would personally wait. I am so aggravated with myself for spending nearly $40 this week on freakin' tests that I want to hurl. With DS I got a BFP on 12DPO so I went for it, and I went for it a bit earlier too.

I also think I'm throwing the whole charting thing out the window too. It is way to easy to read into a chart that looks promising. Let me see if I can post a link to this thing so you all will see what I mean.

AF is due today but I have no temp drop. Ans I also have no BFP. :(

jmvan74
03-21-2006, 08:44 AM
Neen: I'd try and wait a few days. It's always hard to wait, but then you won't feel like you are wasting money. With #1 I got a BFP at 8DPO, but I know that was really early and I won't test this month until at least 12DPO. Good luck.

Bucktown: I hope your BFN turns in to a BFP. Charting can really give you false hope, but even if I don't chart on paper or online, I chart in my head! LOL!

Welcome jrdhbunny and jmvan! I'll add your stats to page 1!

HGMorgann, good luck this cycle!

neenbean, if it were me, I would wait to test. I hate "wasting" tests on BFN. :o I usuallly wait to test until AF is late but that's because I can't stand to see a negative. I hope that you get a BFP whenever you test !! :)

Bucktown, how frustrating! Charting can be a bless and a curse!

neenbean
03-21-2006, 04:11 PM
Bucktown~ your chart looks REALLY promising! However, with the dip on CD 17, maybe you O'd late or something and it has thrown things off. I had to stop charting a few months ago because it was totally stressing me out when AF showed every month. I still keep track of CM and AF days, but that is it. BTW, do you have a Dollar Store near you? From what I hear, their tests are just as accurate as the more expensive ones and you won't feel *as* guilty spending the $. I really hope this it YOUR month and those tests are just lessons learned and you will get your BFP tomorrow! Good luck!

jmvan74~ you are right! I will try to hold out until Friday to POAS again. With DD, I think I got my BFP on 12 or 13 DPO, but I am not charting this month, so I have NO IDEA when I O'd.

So, I used my last $ store test this morning and of course got a BFN. It made me realize that we will probably be waiting another month for our BFP. I also was speaking to my sMIL and her son is expecting his first at the end of November (what would be MY EDD this cycle). I am surprisingly NOT jealous and even quite happy that we won't be having babies on the same day... I would not want to take away from his celebration by two grandbabies born at the same time. His GF is older (like 45) so this was a little shocking for everyone but we are excited for them. :)

neenbean
03-21-2006, 04:15 PM
Sorry Bluebunny! I missed your post and can't edit my previous... Thanks. I have gotten used to the BFNs but that does not make them any easier to deal with. My nausea has disapated and my exhaustion today can only be explained by staying up way too late last night. ;)

I will check into the dollar store, Neen. We live in downtown Chicago so I'm not sure where there would be a dollar store? Maybe I'll stop by one on one of my trips to the 'burbs. Thanks for the info! Also, I wonder about the CD 17 dip you mentioned. It was those 2 days that I remember freaking out because I thought my period was coming like the previous wacked out cycle I had just before this one. I even called DH crying because I thought it was going to be another 2 week cycle. Unfortunately, I'm sure we missed the boat if that was the case (later O date) since I was nowhere near DH at that time. :)

So neen & bluebunny, December babies all around!

Bucktown: Your chart did look really good, but after reading what Neen said and looking back..it makes sense that you O'd later.

Neen: Be stong! hehe. Then again...$store tests...that's not so much money to waste. I'll have to check my local dollar tree.

Well we are out for this month. AF made her appearance this morning.:( I didn't expect to be as sad as I was since we weren't officially TTC. However, DH was sad, too and asked if I was ready to really give it a shot! Uh...yeah! So we are "officially TTC" NOW! Whew...

Sorry to hear of your Grandfather's passing.

Tinkerbell, that is a bummer. Adding you to my Christmas 'wishlist' of babies.

As for me, I got another high temp this morning. errrrrrrrr. I *almost* tested but I told DH what I wanted to do & he stopped me. :) As for O-ing on CD17 I've been thinking more about that. I'm not so sure that's when it happened. I remember very clearly that I had NO EWCM during that time but lots & lots of it during the time FF said I O'd. In fact, it was very white & creamy after my CD11 O date. Also, my cramps are gone. But my BB's still hurt bad and DH says they're huge. :p Maybe I should test with first morning urine since none of the tests were done that way. I didn't have to with DS. I'm just going to wait till Sunday (if at all possible) since that would be 19DPO? from FF's O date or 14DPO from CD17 O'date.

Another high temp this morning. This is killing me! I haven't tested again because I'm 99% sure it will be negative but the temptation is surely there. I feel lousy, like a ticking time bomb about to go off. I think I really need that release I get when AF arrives. Anyone know what I mean? I don't remember feeling this way when I was pg with DS. I just remember feeling calm, relaxed & elated. But, I also got my BFP on 12DPO.

Hoping to see a drop in temp tomorrow. Ready to move on. DH, DS & I are heading to Florida 4/3 and I so don't want to be dealing with AF!

YES, YES, and YES! ;)

I am not charting with temps, but am looking at my my "chart" of CM and wondering what I should do. It is CD 29 and I have recently been having 28 day cycles. No spotting, no real symptoms except I am tired... Dh says give it a day or two, but I am tempted to go buy a test for a FMU test tomorrow... However, I could wait until Saturday if AF doesn't appear tomorrow. With DD, I got my BFP the day my period was due and was not expecting it at all. I was dead tired and had sore bbs. My friend suggested I test, so I did, never thinking it would be +. I did not believe it until we went to the dr. for confirmation. Now that we are trying, I have not been patient about things AT ALL, until yesterday and now I am apprehensive about testing. We did have *fairly* well timed BDing... Ay, yi, yi!

I chickened out and didn't go to the store last night. I do have to drive by the Dollar Store today, so I will swing in and pick up a test or two. Worst case, I can use them next month. :p I woke up at 4:30 running to pee this AM, and still no AF. Of course, I couldn't fall back asleep because I was wishing I had a test to use... I can't believe I am posting this, but....

I tested this AM (around 5:30) and got faint + from 2 tests from the $ Store. So, I went to Walmart and bought the Equate tests. The cashier was so whacko, saying "uh oh!" but I told her it was a good thing and then she started asking me all sorts of questions (at 6 in the morning!!!) about how late I am, etc. It was awful, so I left the store and headed to another 24 hour supermarket to do the rest of my shopping.

I bought a tea and headed straight to the ladies room with it and my "water cup". I peed in the cup and stuck the Equate in for 10 seconds, set my 3 minute timer on my cell phone and starred at the wall, sipping my tea. ;)

3 minutes later I had a faint, but VERY descernable BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! Ack! I am so excited and scared all at one!!! :D  :D

I got the rest of my groceries and a mini balloon for DD that says "Welcome New Baby!" When she woke up this AM, I gave it to her to play with. DH took it away because she was sticking the sharp holder in her mouth, but he did not even notice the message. Her birthday party is today, so he thought it was for the party.

Gotta go terrorize DH until he notices the balloon... Pretty soon I will break out my tests so he gets it. ;)

Bucktown~ I feel terrible about your extended cycle and no BFP... When were you "officially" due? If you are over a week late, maybe give your doc a call to see what they say.

DH did not notice the balloon until after he already knew about the BFP. I finally just handed him the test and he got it. ;) It was so insane today with the party and all the preparation that I did not have the energy to wait for him to notice. :p So silly.

Still in shock and I cannot believe this has *finally* happened. We have been SWH for 7 months, 6 cycles and I was starting to get frustrated, but was hopeful.

Congrats Neen! Wonderful news! I can't believe your DH didn't even notice. hehe! Happy B-day to DD.

Bucktown: Sorry AF is still a no show...well I wouldn't have to be sorry if you would get BFP! If you're not pg...I wonder what's taking so long.

Thanks girls. I think I might head over to the TTC 35+. I turned 35 on 2/21 and maybe it's just a coincidence but 4 days later my body went haywire. Prior to that 2 week cycle I was consistently having 26 day cycles. So I suppose that would make me officially 3 days late today. I don't think I ever had an 18 day luteal phase. The build up of hormones is killer. Right now I just want it to come so it doesn't ruin my vacation in 9 days. :(

Neenbean! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!
Bucktown-gah! That's so frustrating, I'm sure. I hope she shows soon! Or better yet, a BFP!

Girls, I don't know where else to post this, but I'm really depressed tonight. I just found out my DH's BF's wife is expecting their first child. I'm so thrilled for them on one level and so sad on another. She'd be due in November. That was supposed to be our month (well, October first, then November, now maybe Dec.). OUR MONTH! I almost feel like she theived our baby. I'm tearing up. I just want another baby. I want my son to have a sibling. I was clearing out my mom's attic of my stuff and everything I pulled out I thought 'Gee, if we have a girl, we can decorate her room with this' I have so many beautiful collector dolls, stuffed animals, hell, Barbies. Not that I'm against a boy, but these things make me think and crave a daughter. I know there is a small chance for a baby this month, but I'm losing hope quickly. I'm an impatient person and even though we haven't been TTC for long, I'm getting frustrated. DS was literally "think it, get it". So, it's been a hard day for me. Really hard. God, please send up our baby, I know he/she is waiting for us and we love him/her already.

Lady, I could have written your post! (minus the part of going through mom's stuff). ;) I totally understand. A friend of mine announced her 2nd pregnancy last month and she wasn't even trying. I am thrilled for her, but I was a bit jealous as we had been trying for 6 months. I wish you great luck this month and hope this means you will have a local pregnancy buddy to share in your 2nd pregnancy. :)

Hi Lady, I totally understand in a way how you feel. It took us a year and half to concieve DD and I remember vividly friends announcing their pg and thinking that they took the "baby of the month" It was really hard. So I'm sorry that you are having to go through this. Hugs.

Bucktown
03-27-2006, 11:32 AM
lady, chin up sweety & greet your friends announcement with a smile (even if it is a fake one!). My BF told me she was pg last Nov with her second & it completely thru me for a loop. All I heard from her husband was NO NO NO (when her & I talked of having our second babies). She admits she 'trapped' her DH by not telling him she was O-ing when they were DTD. Now he's completely thrilled with the pg. Off track here...I'm still green with envy. ;) It was also "think it, get it" with our DS & I too am very impatient so I'm having trouble just letting things happen at their own pace. But you also said this:

God, please send up our baby, I know he/she is waiting for us and we love him/her already.

Believe that God is perfect and knows when the timing for you and your family will be perfect for your next addition. Maybe He'll be sending you His birthday present this coming Christmas!

AF arrived at 5:30am this morning. Yay!!!!!

Congratulations Neenbean - that is terrific news.

lady1297 - I had the same thing happen to me back with DC#1. I had a friend that got pg on their honeymoon and we had been trying for 5 months at that point. I was really jealous and thought the same thing about life not being fair. I cried and thought I would never get pg. Then, two weeks later I found out I was pg too! We ended up having babies 2 weeks apart. Now that we are trying for #2, people all around me are getting pg with their second. I think - why not me?

I ended up taking a pg test this morning. I just finished BFing this weekend and I have only had the one really light spotting a couple of months ago. But, I thought - I could be pg and not even know it. So, my imagination got the best of me and I tested. Of course it was BFN, but at least now I don't have to read signs into everything. I have been cramping for the last few days, I'm wondering if my uterus is responding to stopping BFing????? I'm just hoping to get my cycle back so we can actively TTC this month.

Good luck everyone.....

That would be amazing!

It's weird. DH and I DTD once this month on the day I O'd. So there is a chance, but I'm not running around freaking about it. I hadn't even realized that I didn't have an in house preg test until today, and yet, I'm not running out to get one either. I figure, AF is due next week. If she comes, fine. If not, I'll drop major cash to find out what' sgoing on! Guess some sleep does wonders!

Wow! I go away for the weekend and come back to a BFP in this thread! :) Congrats, neenbean!!

Still not getting my hopes up for this month but it would be really nice to get a BFP. ;) I hear you ladies on the "baby of the month" thing. I'm starting to feel like that, especially when people announce their second pregnancies. Oh well. I've gotta believe that we'll get our next child when it's the right time.

Let me add my congrats to neenbean!

For me, AF arrived on Monday, which is a little earlier than I expected, so I am wondering if our BD timing was off this month. Anyway, on to next month, right? Meanwhile, I am just enjoying my wine and coffee! ;)

Hi Ladies I think I'm about ready to join this thread, but I have a question for you guys.

How can I tell if I'm ovulating if I'm still BFing and having gotten AF yet? Do you think the OPK will work?

TIA!!

Lvella43- I checked my cervical and vaginal mucous daily while breastfeeding and prior to my first AF. The month I had my first AF, I had classic mucous and in two weeks, AF appeared. You can also temp, but the temps may not be as consistant as they would be without BF.

Thank you HGMorgann, jmvan74, Brink and mom to Zoe! I still can't believe this is happening.

I went to my PCP yesterday for the official blood test. They called today with confirmation, so it is truly official, I am pregnant. :)

I so hope many of you will be joining pregnancy threads in the coming weeks! It is just not fair to have to wait so long for a BFP. We worked on it for 6 cycles and as disappointed as I was each month when AF arrived, I have realized this is the perfect timing. I discovered last night that if all goes well with this pregnancy, our kids will be exactly the same age difference as my sister and I, to the day! Very cool in my book. ;)

Sending lots of baby dust to you all! :D

lvella43 - Welcome. You and I are in just about the same boat. Looks like your DC was born almost one month after mine. I BFed until 6 months (which was just last week). I'm hoping that AF will return and we can start activity TTC. How long are you planning to BF?

Way to much TMI - but I had a bunch of mucus today. I'm hoping that is a sign that my cycle might be returning. I will keep my fingers crossed that I get AF in about two weeks.

lady1297

I would guess, Brink, that it is a good sign. Did you notice a lot of mucus before? If not, then it is probably your fertility returning.

Right now we are avoiding by using condoms during ovulation time. I'm still BFing, but it seems AF has gone back to normal with the exception of my LP. It was 13-14 days before DS, but now it is only 10-11 days. Since it is on the shorter side I'm somewhat worried that I might have trouble sustaining a pregnancy. I'm hoping it is just due to BFing and when DS weans that it will go back to normal. I want to BF him until he is one if at all possible.

jmvan74 - That is so good to hear about your LP. I was freaking myself out thinking that 10-11 days might be too short. Welcom Lisa & JenJen! It's great to see new people join in when so many have graduated.

Tinkerbell Were you able to get in some BD-ing? Crossing fingers that this is your month!

My body has finally shrunk down to normal after that insanely long LP last cycle. I think I bloated up 2 sizes during that time. I was kind of believing that I had gained 10 lbs in 2 weeks. Hope I don't have a repeat of that this cycle if no BFP. CD4 for me which doesn't seem so bad seeing that I O around CD11. We'll definitely be in Florida during that time visiting Disney. Hoping that for us it will truely be a 'Magic Kingdom!" :D

lady that's when I think AF is due for me, too. After reading your post, it makes me want to test. I've felt so "off" lately but that could either be major pre-AF symptoms, late-O symptoms or general tiredness and eating like crap issues. sigh (I have two tests, too!! Would it hurt to use one???)

Welcome Alysha!

Anyone have those days that TTC really gets you down? That's today for me. I know I have a lot to be thankful for and I also know that so many women have tried for months and months without a BFP. Then there are those who have miscarriage after miscarriage (I have a friend who has been going through that). So, in the grand scheme of things, I really have nothing to complain about. :o I guess on the flip side, it's hard to hear about all those women who got pregnant the first try or without trying. Sorry to be such a downer. I just thought some of you might be able to commiserate.

jenjen-LOL! I just might tonight!

bluebunny- You know I've had those days. Our lives may not be 'all that bad', but that doesn't mean we can have the feelings you describe. It's difficult when you know you CAN get pregnant, have gotten pregnant and can carry to term and for some reason, it isn't working right now. I have to believe that for some reason (maybe because my son doesn't sleep through the night yet and God knows I need some sleep before #2 arrives) my baby is not ready to be here yet. I have to come to terms with it every month so far. And it's hard. And frustating. :) Hugs!!
