My favorite wine a Cahors from Southwest France. Until those Argentinean upstarts came along, it was the only 100% Malbec wine, and it has lovely deep flavor and goes particularly well with duck, which is, not coincidentally, a featured player in the cuisine of southwest France and one of my favorite meats.
