Here’s how you can tell this show has reached a new low: The best part of this week’s episode was the previews for next week’s episode. Apparently next week we’ll finally learn about this seaon’s good vs. evil plotline, and hopefully we won’t feel like the last six episodes have been a total waste. I’ve also heard that we’ll get a flashback episode within the next couple of weeks, so I’m still hopeful.
Unfortunately, this week we’re left with the same lame plots churning in place. Claire and Hottie McFloaterson have teamed up to play practical jokes on the bitchy head cheerleader. Sylar is still hanging out with the Wonder Twins of Death, and in the absence of his powers, he practices being evil by confessing his diabolical plots to the non-English-speaking Alejandro. I was half expecting him to grow a mustache so he could twirl it while cackling loudly. Peter goes to Montreal with the Irish chick, where he finds a note from a mysterious Adam warning him about the future. Then he finds himself transported to a blue screen soundstage, with a scene from the future projected onto it, wherein New York is being evacuated due to some kind of emergency.
We’ve already heard about Adam over at the Company, where Bob tells Mohinder he’s the biggest threat to date, as his excuse for trying to get Mohinder to use Monica the Mimic as a human guinea pig. Mohinder is already realizing the horrible position he’s in as long as the Company has Molly, but there’s not much he can do about it. Meanwhile, over in Ukraine, old habits die hard for HRG, who proves that you can take the man out of the Company, but you can’t take the Company out of the man. He and the Haitian track down Isaac’s paintings to an old associate, where HRG tortures their locations out of him with the help of the Haitian’s memory-sucking power, and then he kills him to cover his tracks.
The one plot I’ve been enjoying consistently has been Hiro’s feudal Japan plotline. Even when not much is happening, I love watching Hiro fall in love, fulfill his destiny, and struggle when one conflicts with the other. Unfortunately, I think it’s time to admit that this plot is played out. Even with the latest twist of Kensei’s betrayal of Hiro and the woman destined to be his bride, I just can’t stay interested in this plot. It’s time for Hiro to go back to the future.
PG-Rated

I can’t wait to see Hiro come back to the future, but I have enjoyed his stay in Japan!
