A good overview of a destination, where to stay, where to eat and who it would appeal to. I don't want to read a re-live my vacation blog like I see elsewhere. I just want the highlights to know if it would appeal to me or not. I've visited all the driving destinations around me a zillion times. But I don't know what the rest of the country really has to offer. But I'm sure everyone has their own "go to" weekend spots near their home. :) I’d love to read about travel in this short and sweet format. The TV blogs are too much, IMO. I thought it was decided last year that y'all were going to chill on the TV blogs (when someone asked to do LOST). Looks like quite the opposite is happening though. The net is saturated with people who recap TV shows. There's a reason that TV recap blogs came in last place in the poll. Since you asked for other's opinions, I hope you'll listen to them this time.
