Thank you for this reminder! Also, this may sound really obvious, but don’t forget to give your pets lots of fresh and cold water.

Grrr… I hate when ppl leave their pets in their cars, even if it is “just for a few minutes”.

LMAO about the guy’s Corvette being overcompensatory.

Thank you for all the good advice. The anti-freeze issue is one I always forget to be vigilant about.

Great tips! Also, for only about $20 you can get a thermometer sensor and remote with a temperature alarm. If I have to leave my dog in the car, I leave the sensor in one of the warmer parts of the car and take the monitor with me. It doesn’t have a real long range, but you can tell if you are in range or not (and I stay in range.) If the thermometer ever hits 99, I’m out of there.

Julie, what a cool idea! I will look for that online and add it to the main part of the blog.

Thank you for this article!

Dogs left in cars is a huge pet peeve of mine. I love this site - http://www.mydogiscool.com/b_flyer.php

They have nicely worded flyers about the dangers of leaving a dog in a hot car that I print out and keep in my glove box. I’ve left them on windshields many times.
