Thanks for the laugh! I’m reading this at 6 am on Saturday b/c my 16 month old won’t sleep past 5 am and doesn’t understand weekends… when people say, “she’s so cute, can I keep her?” I often respond with “I’ll drop her off at 8 pm & pick her up tomorrow, thanks!

Oh man I have to stop myself from doing the same thing sometimes. MIL always tells me when we are getting ready to leave her house that I can just leave DS there and we can go. I tell her come bedtime or naptime she would be begging me to take him back!

Thank you for the laugh. I’ve had one of those weeks myself, so I completely understand! I hope your upcoming week is much better!

I’ll bet they will never ask that question again. =P

I never know how to respond to stuff like that…at a flea market, we were looking at cheap costume jewelry. The owners of the booth said, “We barter for cute kids.” I looked him square in the eye and said, “You don’t have nearly enough stuff to make it worth it.” It occurred to me that he could have either taken it to mean my daughter is worth the world to me or that I think he has cheap shit. Then, it occurred to me that it doesn’t matter what he thinks I meant because not only will I never see him again, but I probably meant both.

That is freaking hilarious.

My response has always been “you’d bring him back at 2 AM”.
But then, I don’t think I have a filter. ;)
