Have you ever had to go on a trip without your furbabies and worried about how they would get their three square meals a day without you? Well the folks over at Popgadget have the answer with the Pet Phone Remote Food Dispenser.
When it’s time for Fido to eat you simply call the feeder from your cell phone and voila, Fido has his food. Interesting? Perhaps. Useful? I don’t think so. Who really wants to worry about feeding the dog while on vacation? Isn’t that why you’re traveling, to escape the worries of home? Another reason this poses a problem is that without a way to let Fido out you’ll be left with a big mess to clean up when you get home.
So maybe it’s better to use it to feed your kitties. In which case I say why not go with an automatic feeder with a timer? Kitty still gets fed even if you forget to call the feeder after you’ve had a few too many.
In short, this gadget is doggone useless.
