Ah, hometown dates. A chance to see how much one family can embaress a woman.
I was slightly worried for Sadie at the dinner table with her family. It doesn’t seem like praying happens very much at the dinner table anymore, so between the praying and her mother asking Lorenzo about what he’s looking for in a future mate….well, let’s just say I was afraid Lorenzo would be frightened off. I knew by the end of the date, however, that was far from the case.
Who the heck leaves bridal magazines out on the table the first time they bring a date home. Pack those away! Of course, I guess the person who leaves those magazines out is also the person likely to don a wedding dress for her beau the first time she brings him home. Everyone in Lisa’s family seems to know all about the five year plan - they even joke about it. It clearly freaked Lorenzo out as he didn’t seem as anxious to play kissy face with Lisa at the end of their date.
Jennifer’s dad has guns. He’s scary. Oh, and Jennifer and Lorenzo went fishing and she caught a baby shark. Did I mention her scary dad?
Ignesse has improved her English each week, but she certainly wasn’t ready to play translater. Lorenzo seemed to enjoy his time with her family, and he certainly seemed to enjoy his make out session with her afterwards.
Only one woman was sent home this week, and I really thought that it would be the control freak (aka Lisa) or Jen (scary dad). I was very surprised when it was Ignesse. However, Lorenzo’s reason made sense, you can’t build a relationship if you can barely hold a conversation.
Next week is the overnight dates. Should be interesting to see who invites Lorenzo for a night cap.
And one other note - I thought the unemployed one was gone, but she’s not! Erica needs to get a job so she doesn’t have so much time on her hands. Puhlease, you’re champagne?
