How funny that you posted this! I love love love pumpkin spice lattes, but they say “fall” to me, not “late summer!” I told the girl behind the counter that they were making them less special by serving them so early… she gave me a sympathetic look, but told me that she doesn’t make the rules…

It already feels like fall here in NYC in so many ways, anyhow. I have to wear sweaters and jeans instead of tank tops and shorts, so why not Pumpkin Spice, too?

Maybe that’s why I’m so sad (yet still so happy) about it…up until two days ago, we were still in the 100’s. But now we’re in the mid-80’s. Maybe I’ll go get one today!

I think it’s still too hot for pumpkin spice too! I also thought the fall baked goods looked funny - a pumpkin cookie when it’s 100 degrees outside, no thanks!

I broke down and had one anyway (and yes, it was 90ish out yesterday). But now I won’t be tempted later to overindulge. Or so I tell myself.

Agh! There go all my Weight Watchers points. :) It IS starting to feel like fall around here weather wise–and the leaves are turning color already! In any case, I’m ready for my latte. Except I’ll have to have a nonfat version. Phooey.

Are the pumpkin cream cheese muffins out at SB’s yet? ARL ARL ARL…
